"title": "Really quite capable, wish it had a little more polish",
"body": "What this app can do is really incredible: * Temporarily store and playback sound with very low latency * Analyze the frequency content of incoming or recorded sound with either an FFT or octave analyzer, in 2D or 3D * Zoom to any point in a recording to bring back the waveform and frequency content There are some graphical rough edges, though. When using the mix mode, with Auto-Peak tracking, the labels obscure the waveform view. Touching the FFT waveform brings up an info box at the top, so you can see the frequency, dB and musical note of the selected region. Very useful. A nice touch is, if you have peak-track mode on, the info box will be highlighted if you roll over a peak. Overall, a technically very impressive app. Things I hope are fixed in the future: * Graphical refinement. The data itself is quite beautifully plotted, but the framing choices are not as appealing. * Zooming in the bottom pane. If I record a very long segment of data, it is difficult to get back to the beginning. * Improved responsiveness with higher FFT sizes, although this is likely a limitation of the hardware, and not the software.",
