   Looking at the positive messages make me more brave and tough and it makes me not be afraid of the negative words that people say or do to us and it doesn’t affect me anymore be brave when I seen the affirmations and calms me down in situations that I don’t wanna be in people say negative words thoughts but I ignore because when I got the widget I looked at my phone everyday reading these words and I feel like I have a lot of energy now that I am getting good at handling business and so I am more confident and brave looking at these messages makes me moreover and blissful I am fearless and bold and it’s giving spirit I love this app if I could give it 100 stars I would 10/10 app reading makes me more powerful than I was when I didn’t have I felt angry but when I got this app it’s so relaxing and fun to read I love it so much I wish I could help with affirmations but my dreams are just dreams but sometimes they can come true reading this makes me happy me just swiping threw these affirmations makes me happier and joyful and now I have joyful thoughts and memories so addicting thoughts and prayers and I gone to church and I am still looking at these I support this app so much

2. 5/5A great resource and adds positivity to my daily life

   This app has really helped me in the darkest year of my life. My whole life I’ve struggled with self confidence, negative self talk and thought distortions. But I am a believer in what you see, hear, think, and say, has a direct impact into your relationship with yourself. It really can be so simple. When I started therapy, my therapist always recommended affirmations. I’d sit and write them out over and over. But this app giving me reminders throughout the day forced me to read it and over time I started to be more gentle on myself because I started believing what I was reading. My mindset shifted, I felt a change in my self talk and how I perceived myself. I learned not to be so hard on myself and treat myself with the same compassion that I would with a friend. I recommend this app to anyone who struggles or needs a little pick me up when they’re down or need to change the way they view themselves. It’s a great stepping stone into giving yourself the grace you are deserving of and I can imagine it’s helped so many other people. I’m thankful I can share it with others so I can see how it can impact them too. 🩷

3. 5/5Needs More Development Support

   I enjoy this app, but the developers are not consistently updating or providing necessary functionality support. The apps, widgets, and premium features have never synced properly, and this shows in multiple reviews from others. As a multi-year subscriber, I can confirm this has been occurring for years, and not changed very much in consistency of support. The app functionality could easily sync all content, across all devices used, but this not even an option, which is silly to me. I don’t want different affirmations on each device, personal data collected upon set up each time it is downloaded or redownloaded on a new or existing device, that is tedious and unnecessary to the user. This could easily be applied in a separate menu, and available after a login to sync the personal content already established on an existing device or account. For example, the same background and favorited affirmations need to be available, synced, consistently displayed in each platform, be it a widget, Apple Watch, iPad, or iPhone. The Monkey Taps development team absolutely have the money from premium subscriptions to accommodate such basic support functionality, consistently, with each update, or as necessary, at minimum. Be better, and do better by correcting this asap. It’s the right thing to do! :)

4. 2/5Getting more and more frustrated

   I’ve paid for this app for 4 years. I enjoy having affirmations cycle through different themes throughout the day in my notifications bar and widgets. This app is at its best when it’s a passive addition to my practice, not fighting for screen time or trying to insert itself into my practice. Recently they added ‘streaks’, which upon opening the app, automatically turns on a ‘streak reminder’ notification. You have to manually go in and turn OFF the reminder, that you never chose to turn on, each time you ‘open the app to refresh notifications’. I am paying money for this app. This feels no better than a free app that attempts to insert itself into my practice through constant reminders & notifications. Remove this UX, please. I enjoy the affirmations, but I often don’t want to open the app at all, not even to refresh, frankly. But I do because I enjoy the affirmations. Now the additional hidden UX to automatically turn on a daily notification each time I open it to the exact time that I opened it is just silly. Maybe for a free user, sure. But I don’t want to have to delete it over such a silly decision. At first it was even bugged… to where you couldn’t even turn it off once it auto-turned on. They’ve since fixed the bug… but kept the auto-on notification regardless. Please remove this.

5. 5/5Worth each moment

   This app has help gotten me through some of the hardest times of my life and means very much to me and I have it to thank for how far i’ve come and grown and the ways i’ve changed for the better even in times I feared it was hopeless for me. In one of my darkest moments of 2022 while in Europe meant to be having the time of my life I was deep within a bout of depression that nearly crippled me to being frozen and one morning during this time I got an affirmation from this app that wrote “I am like the moon, No matter the phase, I am always whole.” In a moment where I felt I had nothing left to offer the world or even myself and It pulled me back from something I feared would consume me. I now have that quote tattooed across my chest and written in my dear Mother’s beautiful hand writing for me to be reminded and grateful of for the rest of my time on this earth and I couldn’t Thank enough the people who made it possible that i’ll never know or even meet. Thank you for creating this app and Thank you for whatever higher unseen power that brought me to it in the first place. In ways i’m alive today because of this simple, sweet and beautiful app. <333
