  1. 5/5So fun!

Update: updated to 5 stars! The hammer issue I realized was really just an issue starting out in the game. Once you get enough houses, you start getting more! I'm excited for more places to be put into the game! I love this game! It's very addicting and fun to "buy" homes I'll never be able to afford lol. The main problem I have is that it is limited to Texas and Canada. I would enjoy it significantly more if my hometown or a dream city were included soon. These two options aren't particularly exciting and as a future homebuyer, it'd be so much more helpful being able to search in a city I'm planning to move to! My other problem is how many hammers everything costs! I'm sure as I build up my number of houses, I will get more. But things like selling a home or doing the daily challenge shouldn't cost hammers. It's annoying to only get to do one renovation before you're out or not be able to do the daily challenge.

  2. 3/5Great concept - but more waiting than playing

The core idea of Househunt is fantastic. I love discovering unique properties across the country and locally. Using real listings makes it much more engaging than a standard tycoon game but the current balancing makes it hard to actually stay invested IMO. Right now, the game feels stagnant because the "heart" revival takes way too long. I find myself waiting nearly all day just to do a handful of tours in a tow. The renovation and selling timers are also a major bottleneck; waiting 4+ hours for a house to move means the game just sits unused on my phone. I think the economy needs a tune up as well. When renovations cost 50+ hammers and I’m only generating 10–15 hammers per building every 4 hours, the math just doesn't add up for a fun experience. Even with a paid membership, the progression feels too slow to justify the paywall. Finally, I’m not sold on the AI renovation feature. I love the ability to renovate individual rooms, but the AI often generates results that look worse than the original photo. It feels like an unnecessary addition that misses the mark on the "real home" aesthetic. I’d love to come back and give this 5 stars if the timers were reduced and the hammer production was boosted. There’s a great game in here, it just needs to let us actually play it!

  3. 4/5Improvements

Alright I’ve been playing this game for over 2 weeks now and I’ve noticed a few things that need to be done and improved and touched upon in the game. For one this game is heavy on the pay for everything aspect I mean wow. It’s amazing you can even watch 2 ads to speed up a renovation or selling a house without having to pay. If you run out of hearts pay for more, if you want more hammers pay for more, if you want more money pay for more. Amazing if you want to refresh tasks it only takes 2500 hammers not bad but better than paying to refresh it. Why is this game so heavy on trying to charge you for everything. We’ll watch ads till we rip our hair out. Make that an option please. 2 why do you not have a timer when doing the tours. When you have to do a tour with 75% in 60 seconds wouldn’t you want to know you have 15 seconds left because it’s really hard. I know it’s only 4 questions but still there should still be a countdown timer letting you know how long you have done the tour for. 3 you need to fix the collect income button because it glitches and it collects all but 1 house and it drives me insane. And 4 going back to the tours is there a way to make it more fun like add more tour questions not just the same 4 every time. They are really hard and the prices are so close. There’s a lot I love about the game. Even the renovations and the revel aren’t bad. Sure it’s cheap AI but it works. I really love this game. Please give it some deep love and thought and come back with a huge update. I don’t know why you need to shove having to pay for everything down everyone’s throats. It’s kinda a lot and yes the pro option is worth it but you don’t need to have it displayed every time you open the app. I also appreciate that there isn’t forced ads that randomly come up. But I would appreciate more ad options to get hearts hammers or other things to help you in the game. Thank you

  4. 3/5Needs improvement

I like the game but it needs improvements. To renovate a home or sell one you need a lot of hammers but you barely gain any so you always end up waiting forever to do anything. I'm not spending tons of money just to get anything done. When you first start the game you get a lot of task done eventually you have a handful of cities and too many task that require hammers to do anything so then you feel stagnate. I don't have all day to sit and collect rent and the few hammers either. Also you have to redesign a home to sell some homes are already perfect but since the game is designed for you to buy, renovate and resell you have no option. Unfortunately they use AI to make the changes and often times it misses the mark and the home looks worse. These are common issues I've seen in past reviews. They just did an update but nothing that I stated above and what others have complained about have been addressed. If these improvements are not made soon idk how much longer I'll play because I have too many task I can't complete and not collecting enough hammers to do so and I'm not paying.

  5. 3/5potential but failing

Biggest problem You need a large amount of hammers to do ANYTHING in the game and it takes FOREVER to get enough to actually do things like challenges, renovations or selling. So you’re only able to do like 1-2 things a day. You have to do these things to advance levels to unlock new design styles and the design styles don’t even cost the same amount of hammers meaning your doing a lot of the exact same exact designs over and over. There also needs to be more things available when it comes to the renovations it needs to give you two or three styles to choose from and as of now you have no clue what it will look like and if you don’t like it it costs MORE hammers to change it again. Also the renovation does weird stuff like put snow outside the windows of a Southern California beach house. This is going to be a game I end up deleting just because it takes too long to be able to advance in any way and you’re only able to accomplish a couple things meaning you don’t really engaged much with the game.
