   This is an app full of glitches but is unfortunately the only one of its type used by our county jail. It’s a shame because they have entirely eliminated face to face visits in favor of this app. I understand why, but it would be nice to have a replacement method that works. And doesn’t cost and arm and a leg to use. Lots of families who use this don’t have much income coming in , but it is soooo expensive. I think we have spent over two hundred dollars a month—for something that works so poorly. The same thing happens over and over. We can’t text the person nor receive their texts. That has happened multiple times despite following instructions to fix that bug. And many times, their call doesn’t not come through. Or the call comes in but one or the other of us can’t hear each other. I appreciate being able to have any contact, but this is giving our whole family major anxiety in a situation in which we already have enough of that. We aren’t the ones who broke the law. Please don’t punish us by making this season of incarceration of a family member so much harder.

2. 1/5Connection Issues

   Hi HomeWAV team! We do appreciate the app letting us be able to talk to our loved ones, but the connectivity has now become an issue. I will test my connection and audio within the app and see a strong connection, but then when I actually accept the call, the inmate is unable to see me or hear me. Or, I just freeze completely. The app was perfect before but this began happening in March. I did report this bug within the app as well! Please help, as I can see all recent complaints are of the freezing/connection. I understand why we have to re-login in multiple times, as facilities require you to actually authenticate you’re the person they are trying to reach, but this also causes delays when trying to accept a call. It seems to freeze at a higher rate when doing so. Can we please fix ASAP as we are all spending money to speak to our loved ones, and every call takes money— REGARDLESS if the call was successful or not. While it’s not a large amount (actually reasonable), it still leaves a bad taste in ones mouth :)

3. 3/5Impressed until yesterday

   Up until yesterday when my app updated I was super impressed with this app. It allowed my family and I to talk to my brother-in-law and we video called every day multiple times a day, but now that you guys have updated the app, it rings and it doesn’t allow me to answer him, I hit the answer button and it just continuously rings sometimes instead of answering at all. 20 minutes ago, I FINALLY, after countless missed calls and getting kicked out of the app multiple times got it to answer the video only for us to be kicked off our video for failed communication FOUR times so we just completely abandoned this app completely and I paid to have him call me instead of being able to video and actually see him like normal. Please fix the issues, I LOVED this app until these problems started occurring and it really is helpful for the inmates and their families to still be able to see each other face to face in the comfort of their own homes daily. I’ll give it three stars for now, before the issues occurred I would have given it five. I would love to keep using this daily if the issues get resolved so hopefully soon it will be back to running as good as it was before it updated!

4. 3/5Help- The App isn’t working like it used too!

   Up until the app updated Friday or Saturday it worked fine. I could talk to my family daily and be able to video as well. I wish there was a way to go back to the old version. I’ve google and searched and can’t find a way at all. Before, I could answer and have no problems with talking great signal and all. Now, the calls drop, it won’t let me answer, I keep having to log off and log back on in order to show availability. My family is saying they have to log off and log back on as well. It’s frustrating and even though society doesn’t care about an inmate their still human and if we in the free world are paying you to allow us to do this, when you’re taking the money and not providing the service it’s almost like you’re getting free money and we have to wait until Monday to report the issue. Not right and very disappointed. Please fix the bugs and issues going on with the app.

   I have been using the app for about a month and a week and it’s been great in communicating back and fourth with my current boyfriend. UNTIL YESTERDAY. The inmate is able to send you a text message notifying you that they are online and would like to video chat. Once I go to open the app it sits on the home page and loads and loads and loads for about 15 minutes and never actually finishes loading. I have to close out the app and go back into the app only for it to sit and load and load and load some more. By that time it’s been 30 minutes and I never got to even video chat with my boyfriend. I am getting extremely frustrated with it. I have had to delete and re download the app SEVERAL times and even then.. It does the same thing. It needs to be fixed. It’s absolutely annoying and it’s frustrating to not be able to see or speak to your loved one all because the app won’t load. Myspace from 2006 loads faster than this app.
