   We started receiving Home Chef when they became available! Years ago Home Chef was a lifesaver for me. I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction and wasn’t able for almost a year to shop and prepare meals. Home Chef was an answer to our prayers (especially my hubby’s lol). With not having to shop and fully prep my foods it made it possible for me to prepare meals, with minimal help from him and not having to be concerned with wasted food due to having to buy more than was needed for meals. The food has been from day one fresh, top quality and delivered in better condition than in most stores. Being able to cook a well balanced, tasty restaurant worthy and beautiful plates. We even ordered extra dinners if company was coming. You get more than meat n taters lol, the menus and recipes are easy to use and you can adjust seasonings to taste. We have referred many friends through Home Chef’s referral plan and even given free boxes we earned as a customer, my husband was quite ill in 2019 and we received a gift from his brother to cover about 6 months worth of meals. I was able to order the wholesome, balanced meals he required during his recovery period. I’m getting long here, but I feel people overlook the uses that can be addressed by choosing Home Chef when life circumstances require you to adjust for, health reasons as well as during shelter in place for COVID. We are happy to recommend Home Chef to family, friends and anyone else that are hesitant about ordering meal kits. We have tried all systems that deliver to our area and none were as good overall or cost effective as Home Chef is. Our deliveries are on time, food is in perfect condition as well as temperature when we receive out boxes. TRY HOME CHEF TODAY YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED,

2. 4/5We love Home Chef!

   My husband and I have been a customer for about 2 months, and we LOVE it. The recipes are simple yet delicious, and I love that everything you need comes in the box, and there is no food waste, which is something I can struggle with when buying from the grocery store. We started out with 2 meals per week, but upped it to 3 meals just recently. Our first box included a binder, which is super convenient for keeping all our recipes, but the app has them all as well, which is great! I don’t like a lot of fuss when cooking, so the fact that they have easy, intermediate, and expert meals is nice, however, don’t be thrown off by the word expert, as those meals are still relatively simple to make! One reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because every single thing except the box is packaged in plastic. I think it would be nice if they switched to using more environmentally friendly materials, cause that’s a LOT of plastic when you think about all the people ordering boxes. The other reason is because the oven ready meals never turn out as good as the regular meals. Great concept, but I think they could be improved. Overall though, this is my favorite meal kit service due to the simplicity (yet amazing flavor) of meals, and the fact that the app is super user friendly. You can skip weeks, or you can even pause your account if you need to so you don’t have to worry about manually skipping for an extended period of time. Thanks, Home Chef!

3. 5/5Home Chef is A++++ and even better A++++++ customer service.

   I rarely do reviews, but I have to tell folks..this company is top notch with great service. I’ve been using them for a year, and it’s been wonderful. I’m a single parent with two young daughters, so having time every night to make a meal from scratch is difficult. home chef changed all of that. I order 2 Meals for us(options start with family of 2, goes up by 2) since it’s only 3 of us I order the family of 4 every week and it’s so much food. I’m able to stretch those 2 meals for most of the week with leftovers, and they are SOOO GOOOD! Out of a year of meals, it’s only been a few we didn’t like..which I think proves how good their service is. Let me tell you how amazing their customer service is…there have been 2 mistakes during the past year, where they gave me steak instead of chicken or something like that..which isn’t a huge deal…but both times when I contacted them, they gave me credit on my account for whichever meal was mistaken. That never happens nowadays…and it’s a nice change that they really care about their customers. Anyway..I recommend 100%.

   For some reason, in the middle of every meal to pause and ask myself, “why did I wait so long to do this?” I have made every excuse under the sun, from I still won’t cook to I won’t like the meals, to too expensive, to I’m just too lazy. The matter of a fact is, I get excited to see what the next meal calls for and how to make it. This is easily the best decision I have ever made. And for those who may be looking for a single service option, I am bachelor with roommates and we all have different schedules. So I find getting the 2 servings is still actually perfect. I can eat dinner and every meal I’ve had has been so good I’m saving the rest for lunch the next day. I’m getting more confident in my cooking skills, and I love the fact I can cook and meal and it’ll present and taste like I’ve been cooking for years. I would recommend this to anyone who dreads grocery shopping. That’s the main reason I decide to sign up, and I never realized how much I really do enjoy cooking. Please sign up if you have any thoughts of potentially loving this because I can assure you will!

5. 1/5Extremely disappointed

   I signed up for this because I saw a promotion for it on TikTok for “16 free meals” so I figured I’d give it a try. It’s not free meals it’s just a pro rated discount - which is misleading to begin with , but that’s not where my problem is. I’ve used similar services in the past and have been happy with them, so I figured I’d try this one out. I set my preferences right off the bat to be vegetarian, and was surprised to find that my pre selected meals all contain meat. When I went to change my preferences for my meals, I selected vegetarian as a filter option. The only things that came up or desserts and salads. I am mediately tried to cancel my first order because it was clear that there were no choices that would satisfy my dietary restrictions. I even came to terms with the fact that I could just order salad and dessert, however I’m not allowed to do that apparently because it doesn’t meet the “order minimum” since they are technically add ons and not actual meals.I’ve tried many different meal prep services like this before and have never once had an issue where they advertised as having vegetarian options and then did not. I tried talking to the “customer service “bot” trying to get my money back for my first order and it basically told me I couldn’t.So now I’m stuck with no choice but to waste money on meals that I cannot and will not be eating.
