WRECKS Browse 37 shipwreck locations from NOAA nautical charts across the Hawaiian Islands. MAP LAYERS Improved whale sanctuary visibility with high-contrast outline. Submarine cables now have a dedicated detail page. POI layers auto-enable when navigating to a point of interest.

AIDS TO NAVIGATION Browse 219 aids across the Hawaiian Islands — beacons, buoys, and major lighthouses — sourced from current NOAA Electronic Navigational Charts. Tap any aid to view it on the official NOAA chart. Map callouts use an Apple Maps–style title and subtitle so crowded harbors stay readable. WRECKS Wrecks now draw from the same NOAA ENC source as Aids to Navigation, with tappable links to the official chart for each site.

TRACK DETAILS ON TAP Tap any recorded GPS track line on the map to open its details — distance, duration, and recording date — without leaving the map or opening the tracks list. SHOW OR HIDE ALL PLACEMARKS A single toggle at the top of the Placemarks list hides or reveals every placemark at once. Useful for clearing the map quickly or bringing everything back. UPDATED FAD STATUSES Refreshed from the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology (April 13th, 2026). Many Big Island, Maui, Lanai, and Kauai FADs that had been marked missing are back in service; a few Oahu and Kauai FADs are newly flagged missing.

NAVIGATION IMPROVEMENTS Tap a POI cluster to zoom and fit all its points; starting navigation now frames your location and destination in one view.

COORDINATE FORMAT Pick how latitude and longitude are shown — decimal degrees, degrees + decimal minutes, or DMS. Set it once in Settings and every coordinate readout in the app follows your choice.

UPDATED FAD STATUSES Refreshed from the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology (July 2026). Three Kauai FADs are newly flagged missing.
