  1. 1/5App is necessary evil

We are on our second time Snoo and the app user experience has only declined over the past 4 years since our first. We have bought both Snoos used for half price and resold after - I recommend this as the Snoo is far overpriced for how little customization is offered by this app. There is no way to use the Snoo effectively without this app which continues to decline. The physical product is great but this app alone makes the asking price too high. The most recent app update removed the ability to double tap to zoom into sleep details. Instead they added the ability to track feeds and diapers which is unintuitive and unnecessary. Many better apps like Huckleberry track those things much better, I just need the Snoo to tell me about time in bassinet and levels etc. which is almost impossible to find now. The app has to be manually opened each time to lock the Snoo from automatically turning up levels which should be available as an option but is not. Instead they send me notifications recommending I allow the Snoo to increase speed!! I want to be in charge of how I use the Snoo but it is very difficult to customize. In 4 years the app has added no improvements or increased customization and only become more convoluted and frequently disconnects from the Snoo itself. I wish the app could be as sleek as the physical product and provide me with easy customization of sound levels and motion limits if I want them.

  2. 1/5Corporate Greed Has Ruined 2nd Hand Experience

Everyone knows that Snoo bassinets are extremely expensive. We opted out of the investment for our first child and now with our second decided to try it when a friend offered their’s 2nd-hand for a steep discount. While the features of the bassinet have been useful, I was uncomfortable with using constant motion for my infant and decided to use the “weaning mode” exclusively from the beginning so that I only used the motion when he really needed it. This has worked wonderfully for our family and little one and makes me more at ease about using a snoo to begin with. All was perfect until the recent update to the Happiest Baby app and the subscription gating of this weaning feature among others. I can understand where deeper insights might be blocked behind a pay wall, but it seems nothing less than crooked to hide the products weaning feature behind a monthly subscription. So parents have to literally pay you money to quit your product or use it in a “lite” way?? Especially for those of us who already invested in the product and were actively using these features before the update. It’s one thing if new customer choose not to buy a snoo because of all this paid feature-gating, but we didn’t sign up for this. Shame on you, Happiest Baby for slapping another monthly subscription on moms of infants who already spent hundreds if not $1,00+ to use your product. Maybe rethink which features are truly “premium” and consider if it’s worth it to you to continue financially squeezing new parents for all their worth.

  3. 1/5Disappointed in Happiest Baby with “updated app”

I never write reviews but I am compelled after Happiest Baby is now charging users to pay for basic features of the app and machine. We had our third baby in March and I have used a Snoo for every one of them. In July we had to download the newer app, which was no problem but it did not add any upgrades compared to the old one, except now could track diapers, feeds, etc which was not necessary for me. It had the activity tracker still which, again, not super helpful but a nice visual for parents to try and make connections about sleep patterns. It was the only way to go back and see roughly what time your baby was put the bed and got up. Last week the activity tracker and other functions like wean mode are now behind a paywall. Additionally, the last two nights I have found that the Snoo stops and turns off at some point, as if I never turned it on (I know that I did). It would be nice to have the activity tracker to see what time this happened but there is no information available. This is absolutely ridiculous given the high price of the device. I’m lucky our baby is 4 months old and already sleeping through the night. I feel bad for newer and severely sleep deprived parents. I would have normally recommended the Snoo to anyone but forcing parents to now pay for features that should come for free is taking advantage of customers. I will be transitioning to the crib earlier than intended since this product and app is no longer functional and I do not believe this company is looking out for it’s customers anymore.

  4. 1/5I don't usually give one star reviews but...

Updating my review from two to one star because you recently logged me out, literally while I was trying to soothe the baby, then when I frantically managed to log back in the first thing I notice is you put the ability to lock a speed level behind a paywall. Terrible. Hope you enjoy taking my money I guess. Glad I won't need this thing for much longer as I'm sure you'll find more ways to ruin the experience sooner than later. Original review: For the love of human beings without needle thin fingers, please make the target area for your SNOO buttons BIGGER. The bassinet itself works good for our baby but none of the sensitivity levels seem to calm him automatically so we're more hands on with manually driving the different levels. Seems to work better at calming him sooner however it's extremely frustrating trying to tap the tiny "up" or "down" or "lock" buttons in the middle of zipping up the baby into Snoo sack or while we're half asleep fumbling with the phone at night. I miss about 2 or 3 times before getting a perfect tap on those little circle buttons. Would definitely appreciate a healthy 20-40 pixel padding on these buttons outside of their nice circular frames! (No need to make the icons bigger.) Let's go SNOO UI team! Let's get this improvement out of the backlog and scheduled into this week's sprint!

  5. 1/5Simple and now absolutely unreasonably expensive after you buy a $1,000+ bassinet

UPDATE response: Big corporation says they specifically are trying to take advantage of poorer families who get it secondhand. Playing the victim and acting like maintaining their app and servers is putting them out of business while they make regular $2,000 sales for a bassinet with a few motors in it. P.S. to the employee reading this, your roll out of this decision specifically was really, really poor too. Stop responding and just fix your poor decisions to try and extort more profit out of your poorest snoo users. Despicable. ORIGINAL: This is an extremely simple app and does basic things and yet they now are trying to charge you $20 a month after you’ve already spent $1,500 on a bassinet. It’s truly criminal that they have rolled this out after we had already bought this product. They gave like a month notice to start charging. this heavily affects your resale value which of course you’d have to resell this because nobody can afford to buy an item that you use for like nine months that cost $1,500 and get nothing back out of it. This is an example of extreme greed and honestly, it’s pretty despicable to target parents at vulnerable stages of life for extortion. If you’re from the company and you’re reading this don’t bother replying just go ahead and actually fix this mistake of an update where you’re now charging people. I don’t want to see your response about how you’re sorry that I’m disappointed. If you’re actually sorry, then just change it back. I update reviews as circumstances change.

  1. 1/5

AI "assistant" frequently makes mistakes such as using data from the wrong day, stating the wrong time of day, and missing days worth of entries. It is completely unreliable. What is the point? I will be using another app to track daily baby data as this is useless bloat to justify an expensive monthly fee.

  3. 1/5

Before you buy the device - Stupid paywall for app. You buy device - you have to pay additionally monthly to use the its basic features.

  4. 1/5

Paywalls basic features, and has to be on your WiFi. Clearly, this company values profit over all else.
