   Well, I do find it easy to use the app to pay for my parking, I really don’t like the fact that I’m being forced to pay a one dollar convenience fee. The app itself is making it convenient, the fact that I have to pay extra dollar to park is ridiculous. I actually also prefer paying at the lot. I do know people that do not have a smart phone, so what option do they have if they need to park? I understand this was put in place during Covid when people were having no contact with each other, but we’re way past Covid. Hire some people, actually let us pay to park, and provide some jobs.

2. 1/5Lack of fluid User Interface resulting in parking ticket

   For a new user, this is the most difficult parking app I have had to setup an account for. I was going to a restaurant with friends and eventually I gave up on purchasing my parking ticket because it took me longer that 10 minutes to setup my account, and then I got slammed with a 47 dollar parking ticket. I will not be parking in hangTag zones from now on. For the software developers: don’t have the software error out if you fill in two fields correctly rather than just filling one field. What is the purpose of penalizing the user for entering correct information? That is seriously diabolical. Also, I started with trying to fill out fields online (safari) but I couldn’t even click to enter info in one field on safari, so I tried downloading the app but it wasn’t any easier. Maybe focus on user experience from a first time user trying to purchase parking and time people on how long it takes or what issues they are having so the process can be more streamlined.

   This app just straight up does not function. You need a private detective just to figure out how it’s supposed work in the first place, and that’s not even counting the myriad of bugs that you encounter along the way. I downloaded it thinking this would be faster than paying for parking at the kiosk, and after 15 minutes of failed attempts to make the app work I ended up giving up and just going back outside to the kiosk to pay. All this app needs to do is let you pay for parking. It feels like they scrapped together a google maps integration and a search box made by two separate people who weren’t allowed to communicate and shipped it with no further testing. I take it back, there was a third guy who was in charge of the login/signup flow, but they didn’t actually know how to work the sms integration and it shows. If you’re at the kiosk waiting for the app to download, just save yourself the trouble and cancel the download and pay there.

4. 1/5The worst app I have ever used

   First of all, I really really really want this app to work. I commute everyday to a parking lot that uses hangTag. If I can actually use this app, it would save me a few minutes everyday on my commute. So I am a very motivated user. Unfortunately, this is the worst mobile app I have ever used. It's basically broken every day I use it. Everyday, I pray that the mobile engineers who made this app pushed a fix, or the backend engineers get their servers working, but it never works for me. The first time I downloaded this app, I couldn't create an account. It just hangs forever and did not create my account. However, the next time I tried to create an account it says the email is already used, so I have to use a different email. So after having to use a different email, I was able to create an account. But I still can't pay. I tried adding a credit card and it says credit card was successfully added. However, when I try to select the credit card, it doesn't show up. When I try to pay for parking it just says "Retrieving Rates". I just want this app to work for once. And so far, it never has worked.

5. 1/5Don’t Recommend If You Can Avoid

   They keep “updating” the app every now and then. Then can’t help you if you’re parked at one of their parking lots during the middle of their updates that require you to download a new app. Then the app won’t work right when you try to sign into it. They’ll ask for information that you don’t have access to because it’s in your account in the app that you can’t get to work right. It’s what I’m dealing with right now. It’s the most frustrating thing and I keep repeating myself in the emails to support trying to get help with no results. If I had a choice, I wouldn’t use this app at all.
