1. 5/5I HAVE DIED NOW I’M IN HEAVEN

   I literally don’t know where to start… My grandfather always used to “ don't look a gift horse in the mouth”. With anything, and I mean anything you can ALWAYS find something to critique or wish it had this or done that. Look, I’ve been a professional drummer for many years. When I started out playing, my father who was and still is a professional musician and recording studio owner. So I was blessed from the beginning. A rock star for a father who owned a very sweet and popular recording studio. I was like 11 I believe 1981 and he had the legendary Linn Drum Machine that I would setup and practice to. I mean, 11yr old beginner drummer not many were knocking on the door asking to play with me. I didn’t know it at the time but all the hours I would just put some phones on and play to I was actually mastering playing with a click track, which if you are a beginner do yourself a worlds favor and get this app. Ok, speed up many years to few days ago when I downloaded GrooveClix… PEOPLE OF THE WORLD, CHRIST IN HEAVEN THANK YOU FOR MR DAVE WECKLE AND HIS PARTNER IN CRIME JAY OLIVER FOR GIFTING THE WORLD WITH THIS PRICELESS TREASURE THAT CAN NOT BE COMPARED TO BY ANY FREAKING DEVICE, APP OR PERSON!!! I know also that being human beings and wanting to always better something if there is anyway this app can just stay just like this in regards to updating infrastructure ect. Of course add new grooves but dear Lord, please don’t mess up this app by tweaking the greatness out of it. Ok stop reading this and flipping start jamming out!!!

2. 3/5Good but needs improvement

   As a musician and also a developer, I can certainly appreciate the efforts that have gone into making this app. Good job! I’ve encountered a few issues: - Count Off doesn’t work correctly when you’re not in 4/4 - get a tutorial screen every load ie I’m forced to watch a tutorial Suggestions: - use a sans serif font. Use a consistent font and design throughout the app (eg Settings looks like it belongs in a different app and clearly was an afterthought when making the app) - consider a perpetual license in addition to the subscriptions, even if it’s just a basic version. Some users will get more value from a perpetual license because a subscription license is not useful in many cases. Edit: thanks for the reply. The issue I have with countoff is that it does not honour the set time signature. It always counts off the same number of beats which inevitably means the count off is not synced with the click track when it starts. I encourage you to test this yourself. Also as a side note I have removed the app as the size is unnecessarily large, nearly 2gb which I think can be optimized a lot (it’s a click track in the background, I don’t think it needs to be cinema quality…)

   I was having an issue with tempo change, but what happened, I accidentally clicked on tempo lab, here’s the awesome response! HI T-Bone Looks like you have accidentally engaged the Tempo Lab! In the lower left corner of the main interface there's a bar with four icons on it. The first one (from the left) selects the audio output you want to use. The second one turns the Groove Engine on and off, and the third one turns on the Tempo Lab, the parameters of which are adjusted by the fourth and final button. If you switch off the Tempo Lab by tapping the third button, then you can manually adjust the Tempo as you like. Tempo Lab is for practicing over a gradually increasing or decreasing tempo. It's a great feature, and if you accidentally turned it on without looking at the tutorial video first, it's easy to understand how you might think that there's a bug. It's not a bug, it's a feature!"

4. 5/5Great metronome, and way more!

   I’ve been practicing with this app, and as a metronome, it’s great. But the settings with subdivisions make it way more musical to practice with than a traditional metronome. Also, check out the tonal stuff for practice. Playing with the odd time tonal grooves is my favorite feature. I just went for the subscription plan, and am just starting to discover the depth of this app. I’ll update my review after I get a chance to try out all the new features.

5. 3/5Not sure what to

   I did a trial version of this on an older phone of mine and really liked it. I have a newer phone now and downloaded the basic version or lite. It’s only a click. Without the subscription, I would probably not use this as there are other metronomes available that will do the exact same thing. Perhaps something is not working correctly, the only option is a basic metronome with the same click sound. The app allows you to select different things, but the basic click is all that ever plays. There’s no indication that you need to upgrade or subscribe to access that feature.
