  1. 5/5The Expositor’s Bible App

This is the best App for reading and practicing your Greek. I like it better than Olive Tree and Logos Bible apps for reading and studying Greek. I have not changed my review the past five years since 2021: If you are a pastor-teacher (or a student of the NT Greek language) then this app is for you. To experience the full potential of this app, get the in-app purchases of "Word Forms & Parsing Tools" along with the "NA28 text with Lexical & search aids." Other tools are available for purchase in this app, but these are my favorite ones for sermon prep and word studies. With these two features mentioned above, you can pick a verb (in the biblical text itself or from a specific list that you have created) and this app will show you all the different forms/parsings and occurrences of this word. This feature is just the beginning of the user experience. This app has greatly helped me expand and retain my Koine Greek vocabulary. The interface is so easy to figure out especially for those who are not technologically savvy like myself. This app is a wonderful addition to other Bible Study apps (i.e. Olive Tree, Daily Dosage of Greek). This app will not disappoint you. I only wish there was a desktop version of this for the MacBook Pro.

  2. 5/5Fantastic App!

This app perfectly balances Greek immersion with fast and useful help when I'm stuck on a word. I tried a bunch of different apps, but either I'd get lazy with interlinear and just read the English or I'd get stuck in a labyrinth of menus trying to parse a word. Cannot recommend enough both the app and the purchases. Request to the app developer: I'd like to use this while listening to Greek audio on my iPad with a split screen so I can quickly pause/resume in the other app when I get behind, but this app only supports iPhone screen layout, which I think is preventing it from sharing the screen. Is it possible to enable iPad split screen?

  3. 5/5Absolute Best NT in the App Store

If you are looking for a NA28 New Testament packed with incredible features look no further. There are several reasonably priced features that can be purchased, this way you can customize it for your own needs. It’s great for study, practice, and devotion. Simple and intuitive interface makes all features easy to use. I have been looking for something like this for a long time! Thank you for putting this together!!!

  4. 5/5Amazing Tool!

I am blown away by how well done and useful this app is. It is absolutely fantastic. The work that was put into making this app is nothing less than superb. I have used BibleWorks and Accordance, but this app is just so extremely easy and useful. I hope that they will expand this program in the future to include the Septagint and other resources. The team that put this program together is first rate! Kudos to them!

  5. 5/5Excellent!!!

This app has been tremendously helpful with exegesis and parsing of the Greek text. It follows the UBS5 directly and is extremely accurate in its parsing of each word as compared to BDAG and other Lexicons. It is extremely simple to use and is also helpful when reading the Greek text in a situation where a BDAG or other lexicon is not available! This app is a MUST for those in seminary and is also simple enough for those that are not!

Please feel free to contact me with enhancement requests and any issues you may encounter. Thanks for using GreekKit.

Please let me know any time you encounter a bug, or have any enhancement requests, by emailing me through the app.

  • 2.7.4

    - fixes a bug that causes the app to crash when accessing Settings in the reader screen. I've been working on some new features but inadvertently introduced this bug with the last build. Fixed. Sorry for the trouble! Thanks for using GreekKit.

  • 2.7.5

    - fixes a crash that can occur on the Purchases screen

  • 2.7.6

Some users have reported that they have suddenly lost their purchases, and had to press the Restore Purchases button on the purchases screen. This version should fix this problem.

  • 2.7.7

    - fixes a bug on the Locations screen where expanded verses from the NA28 can sometimes have the wrong height (cutting off part of the text). Friends, I'm working on version 3.0, which should be out within the next couple of months, and I've got some great plans for some new functionality which will be made available early next year. Please contact me through the app if you encounter any bugs, or have any suggestions. Thanks!

  • 3.0.0

    - Reorganizes the main screen of the app, separating out Vocabulary Lists, Lexical Words, Parsings, NA28 Words, and Definitions onto different tabs. - Adds Share functionality for vocabulary lists and NA28 verses - Adds sensitive areas on Review screen to more easily launch the Locations, Word Overview, and Edit Definition screen from Review. - Adds Help Videos screen.

  • 3.0.1

    - Fixes a bug that caused the Greek keyboard to not be available in the searchbar. (You can use either the Greek keyboard, or type English characters that are immediately turned into Greek). My thanks to those who brought this to my attention.

  • 3.0.2

    - Fixes a bug in which tapping on a word in the NA28 reader view sometimes highlights the wrong word. Thanks to my friend Gabriel for help reproducing this issue!

  • 3.0.3

    - Fixes the word list display functionality that I accidentally broke in the last release. Sorry for the troubles!

  • 3.0.4

It appears that some of the settings changes available in the NA28 reader view either did not correctly update immediately, or did not always stick. Specifically, the app was temporarily blanking out the reader view on making a font/font size/line height/text alignment change, and not respecting the choice of font and verse number color after restarting the app. I rarely ever make changes to these settings for myself and so am not sure at what point they became broken, but they are fixed now. If you observe any bugs in the app, or have any ideas for enhancements, please email me through the Contact Developer menu item under Options on the main screen. Thanks!

  • 3.0.5

    - Temporarily disables buying new in-app purchases while an issue is resolved. You can still restore your old purchases. Please check back soon.

  • 3.0.6

    Purchasing re-enabled.

  • 3.0.7

Friends, I hope you have benefited from using GreekKit. Thank you for your support and your purchases. GreekKit has been in the App Store since October 2013. Unfortunately, my health and other priorities have prevented me from developing the app as I intended, and downloads and sales have withered accordingly. This version disables the in-app purchasing, but allows you to continue to restore your purchases. Unless things change, I will probably pull the app from the store at the end of the year. You will be able to continue to use the app on your phone indefinitely. Thank you again. Sincerely, Casey Perkins

  • 3.0.8 · 16 Mar 2025

Good news! A way has been presented to me to save the app, and hopefully get some new features done as well. The in-app purchases will continue to be unavailable for the time being, except for those who need to restore their previous purchases. Please be patient while I transition to the new arrangement. Thanks!
