   I held off on writing this review hoping that some of the issues would be resolved… nope still awful. I have YES and MSG as part of my cable subscription and trying to watch on my phone or tablet has become so frustrating. Almost every time I use the app it asks me to subscribe or connect to tv provider. I have connected my tv provided countless times but it keeps removing it. So I go to link the tv provider and it won’t let me. Can’t even click the button to do it. The only way I can manage around this is to un-link my cable subscription, then completely remove my Gotham account from the app and restart everything from scratch. This needs to get fixed. So, once the app actually gets working to stream games is it good? No, no it is not. The “live” stream lags behind and ends up falling way behind even though it still says you are live. Sometimes ending up a full 1-2 minutes behind, which in the world of live sports is a long time. I end up getting texts or alerts before I can see it happen “live” on the app. This is unacceptable. There also is a real problem with the audio mixing as well as volume at times, very inconsistent. YES and MSG apps on their own were light years ahead of this Gotham garbage.

   App constantly buffers. Tv, phone, tablet. Money grabbing opportunity. You barely save money for combo. And with the insane amount that you pay to watch a hockey game 3 miles from your house it buffers every minute. YOU HAVE OUR MONEY USE IT TO MAKE THE STREAM BETTER. MSG you have constantly made being a NYR fans the most expensive and difficult thing to be. We pay enough living in this area we shouldn’t have to PAY EXTRA to watch a LOCAL game. No one paying the amount we are paying should have to deal with this consistent buffering and believe me it’s not the WiFi, it’s not the weather… ITS YOU. Compensation or refunds for this pathetic waste of money and time streaming app. Someone needs to start a protest or something. Paying for the stream is cheaper than going to the game but this app is the laziest most insufferable excuse and horrible representation of our local teams. Again. LOCAL. It’s not like we’re watching from Arizona. We are right here supporting and watching for decades. Cant wait for the next fan appreciation night bobble head. I’ll be sure to bobble it every time my stream buffers. Oops broke at the puck drop. Lazy jerks.

3. 1/5Completely Unacceptable - Taking Complete Advantage of Customers

   I’m beyond fed up with this app and with the Gotham Sports team. I’ve been paying $25 for 2 years now because this is my only option to stream Knicks games where I live. But for 2 years I’ve had completely inconsistent and generally awful service from this app, and it’s clear the GS team has no intention of devoting any resources to improving things. In the last 2 days, I’ve been completely unable to get a stream going on my Apple TV, my Google Chromecast, and my iPad. Restarted devices, force quit app, update to latest version, you name it. 3 different devices and issues on all 3 not just affecting the quality but completely preventing me from watching. WHAT AM I EVEN PAYING FOR AT THIS POINT? It’s borderline fraud. Completely unacceptable. Look through the reviews - so many awful ones. Someone should be held accountable for taking so much advantage of the customers here. I’m leaving this 1 star review and sent an email to customer service asking for a REALLY good answer as to why I shouldn’t just cancel and never come back.

   The Gotham Sports app is, hands down, the least intuitive, least user-friendly app I have ever used. Navigating through a game feels like a punishment, not a convenience. Want to fast-forward? Be prepared to tap a button every single time you want to skip 10 seconds. That’s right—there’s no scroll bar, no skip-ahead feature, nothing. If you want to jump halfway through a Yankees game, you’ll need to tap that button hundreds of times like it’s 1998 and you’re trying to win a rigged arcade game. The interface looks and functions like it was designed during the Windows 98 era, with zero consideration for modern usability standards. It’s clunky, outdated, and frustrating beyond belief. For a sports app in 2025, this is a complete embarrassment. Whoever designed this should take a long, hard look at literally any other streaming platform. If Gotham Sports is serious about user experience, this app needs a full rebuild—from the ground up. Until then, avoid it unless you enjoy rage-pressing your remote into oblivion.

5. 1/5Cheaters STILL HAVEN’T RECEIVED MY POINTS . DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS TERRIBLE APP !!!!

   I won the devils game on thursday and NO POINTS . I wrote to the customer service and their answer was ridiculous. On Saturday i came in third in the devils game and again nothing !! I never even got the points for tuning into the entire games on both days . Tonight i watched the devils game in its entirety on the gotham app and again nothing . No points !!! I keep writing to customer service and now they don’t even answer my emails . MY ADVICE TO EVERYONE IS FORGET THIS TERRIBLE APP AND THEIR WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ! I would have given this app 0 stars but i couldn’t. They should be ashamed of their app and service !! I wonder if they will even post this negative review . I would give it a Zero but it won't let me. They don't count points that are earned . Their customer service is NON EXISTENT! They don't care about customers and don't answer emails. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THERE TERRIBLE APP . They don't even care if you have proof of photos that they are cheating customers out of points that are earned !!!!
