4/5Almost perfect, just a few things:
Interface and system seems very refined and curated. Probably one of the most well rounded “dating apps” for the gays, but does have the once again frustrating Raya-esq tendency to suggest people from around the world, I get it there’s a map of local people to use, so why not just switch or merge the two and make it an option to see people around if you’re abt to travel but make the locals people the prime default suggestions to “wave” at? Ain’t no one trying to build long distance relationships from the get go. The waves system slightly confusing, even if they don’t wave back they’re shown as a connection making me assume they did wave back, kinda throws you off The photo system is well geared to be actually you, however is glitchy and the photos that are of me get rejected, but then see people with photos far more obstructed and recognizable being approved for their profiles. Also really don’t like I can’t play music while using the app As a tall guy I LOVE the ability to filter by height, would also love the ability to arrange your photos how you’d like. Interface is very smooth, you can tell there’s an intention for realness, like photos that aren’t instagram perfect but more b roll reality of a person. Love that you can text and send photos though I can see how that’d get dicey, and overall the app is very enjoyable to use. Overall though great app and very very strong start, almost perfect!

4/5Cute App/UI
I think it’s a cute app. Still pretty transactional with the wave mechanism. Little to no bio, or details that surfaces depth before you engage with someone so it’s still very surface. I think the audience is pretty clear, hot guys of certain persuasions trying to match with people. Doesn’t seem very diverse or representative of the G/B aspect of the community - but I think that’s intended. I like the short clips that play when you scroll. It’s like a mix of Grindr/Tinder/TikTok. I can see this catching on and carving out some of the market because it’s well designed and easy.

5/5A new way of connecting
I’ve been loving Goose so far. It feels completely different from the other gay dating apps. Instead of just focusing on dating, it’s actually a place where you can make friends, build connections, and network with people who share your interests. The community feels more genuine, and I’ve had much better conversations here than on other apps. It’s refreshing to see something that brings people together in a different way. Definitely worth checking out!

3/53 for Now
I see potential but I want to be able to adjust the order of my photos/the cropping… too many of the photos I like were rejected for having filters or being edited but they like didn’t and also they weren’t stellar pictures or anything lol, feel like it may have just been an error… not many people on here rn but I know that won’t be long. Just a little more customization for my profile would be nice… there’s a lot of creative people out here, I know the idea is to not be too curated and just show your raw beautiful self but like… just a dash more curation wouldn’t hurt 🤏

2/5Frustrating
If you’re already in an area with a critical mass of compatible men, then presumably you don’t need this app to help you find them. If you’re not in an area like that, this will not help—all of my connections are out of state 😂. Their content moderation is glitchy and overly-enthusiastic; despite not using filters or masks or edited content, nearly every photo and video I posted was flagged as violating guidelines— when I reached out to app support for help, I just got an automated message, informing me that my profile had been flagged for heavily edited content (it’s all raw footage). I like the philosophy, but in the end, it’s just another platform *shrug*
