   I was diagnosed in 1991, when I was 8. The time when you had to use an accu-check to read by color that would give you an estimate of your blood sugar. You’d have to first use a hard spring loaded lancing device to get your sample large enough to coat the strip… often times a full drop. You’d wait, wipe off the blood, then match the color based on the bottle. If you were lucky you had the one touch machine but that too required a full drop of blood. You’d then have to take your Insulin and wait. Times are so very much different now. This by far has been a god send and I am incredibly indebted to all that has a hand in making the app quite powerful and life changing. I can’t thank you enough for helping me bring my A1C down a full 2 points. I started on the twiist and with being able to take a picture of my meal for a better estimate of carbs I’ve been able to stay better in range. I love the watch and calendar integration so that I can watch while in my car and just flip my wrist without having to drag out my phone. We’ve become so spoiled but while having to deal with such a delicate and all time consuming disease we deserve some simplicity. So thank you makers of Gluroo! I can’t wait to see where else tech will take us. I’m def a hard core life long and forever fan.

2. 5/5Love this app for kiddo with T1D

   This instantly gave our family the ability to communicate total carbs intake on the go and unite as a family to support our kiddos nutrition & insulin intake. LOVE so much about the app from the Status page that shows estimated carbs / insulin on board, even hours after a meal or dose it gives a rough estimate of what has been metabolized and what is left in the system. Weekly email updates shows progress week over week making it fun to share with our kiddo and his progress from all the efforts to stay in range. Works well with Dexcom G7 and have hade more issues with Dexcom than this app. Only suggestion is to make total carb edits more intuitive for manual entry, but that’s just minor learning curve stuff we have got used to. Also would be nice to upload pics without Auto-Carbs if we’re calculating on our own. All in all I highly recommend this app and would gladly pay money for it, although it is free and amazingly full of features to help our kiddo manage T1D. We were 97% in range last week and the week prior we were at 56% in range, this app has made all the difference in knowing how food & insulin impact blood sugar levels & how to maintain them. Love love love! 🙌

3. 5/5Best App For T1D Families!

   This app is everything I was looking for and so much more! My child was diagnosed about a month ago. So everything about T1D is new to us. My husband and I were using a shared notes app to keep track of carbs and doses. And that was fine but it wasn’t very helpful in terms of insight. I knew there had to be a better way. But every time I looked I only really found apps that were for individuals managing their own diabetes. Then one day I happened upon Gluroo and I was so excited because it was exactly what I was looking for. It’s so easy to just be able to type in our info and the app knows what it means and automatically categorizes it for you. Now not only are we able to keep track of carbs and doses but now we can see the history of how those numbers played out. And we all have access to this information in real time so we are all always in the loop. There are also so many other features that I’m still discovering and they are so helpful. The support on this app is great too! Truly cannot say enough great things about this app. I’m so grateful that it exists and so grateful I found it.

   I am the parent of a T1D 13 year old. We switched from one popular CGM to another to save on costs and the main frustration was lack of a good app. Gluroo has fixed that!! Most of the other third party apps won’t connect to our sensor, but Gluroo does! I love the night calls for lows and the fact that my young teen and I can both log info, see data, and get notifications. I swear this app has thought of everything! I love the summary emails and the stats we can see. The photo logging is great even for a ballpark even if it can’t be 100% correct. Sometimes I feel like there is so much in the app my eyes don’t always know where to focus or what I’m looking at, but I’ll take it anyway! If I could suggest one more random thing… there’s another BG tracking app that uses humor in their notifications.. ahem..appy-hay ob-bay…. Which helped keep my son engaged in them.. that would be a great addition! Overall, we’re really liking it!

5. 5/5Gluroo is Really Good!

   Gluroo is a comprehensive, capable, and easy-to-use tool for keeping track of all the data necessary to effectively control diabetes. I’ve had Type 1 diabetes for 55 years and have been using multiple daily injections and lots of finger sticks for most of that time. My control has been good, with A1Cs typically between 5.8 and 6.3. In late 2024, after a couple of A1Cs higher than what I wanted, I decided to try a CGM, making it necessary to switch to an app that would work with the CGM. I looked at and tried several, concluding that Gluroo was the most comprehensive. So I began using it to track blood sugar, insulin, and diet. It has proved to be even more capable than I first thought (for the first few weeks of use, I was finding new capabilities that I initially didn’t know it had). Additionally, the developers seem to be pretty regularly making improvements. When I have had a question, they have been very responsive. And the first A1C after 90 days of CGM and Gluroo was 5.6. Features that I especially like: 1. Writes events containing blood glucose to Apple calendar, which allows me to monitor blood glucose in Apple CarPlay while driving. 2. Displays blood glucose and trend on iPhone Lock Screen. 3. Does a good job of keeping track of insulin on board and carbs on board. 4. Has a clear log of events (meals, boluses, exercise, finger sticks, etc.). Events can be edited, and missed events can be inserted at the proper time after the fact. 5. If your blood glucose meter communicates with Apple Health, Gluroo will import the finger stick data.
