5/5Useful. Clear. Concise. Perfect
I love the design of the app, it makes reading the articles and understanding the content so incredibly clear and straightforward. A refreshing take on news from both the app designer and the article writer himself. Lovely app lovely content 10/10 recommend

2/5Not really a “Fact Checker” but just another WP outlet
Idk if I’m just not using this correctly, or what, but all of the highlighted fact checking articles are just trump criticisms or proving he lied or fibbed. I tried searching “checks” on current Washington Post articles, CNN articles, MSNBC articles, just to try and balance out the bias, but it didn’t show anything of the sort; I tried searching major DNC congressional names related to articles, nothing. Plenty of Trump criticisms and Fox News checks (not that I don’t care, but I get that enough from any stream source). But I couldn’t really find any balance. There were som leftist centered criticism, but as I was reading, there’s a clear feeling of excuse given for leftists who “made a mistake” but a more resentful writing approach to stories about right leaning sources and issues. So really, it seems like it’s just a more source based echo for articles Kessler wants to “fact check”, but it seems to be heavily trump criticisms, echoing of leftish-msm and adding sources (which you’d think all of those sources would already do), and the writing kinda feels like the usually subtle bias you get from reading any Washington Post article, rather unsurprisingly. The Pinocchio system just seems a more subtle way to bias how much the devs or writer (don’t know if it’s all Kessler) thinks fibs or lies are impactful, but I don’t find those ratings based in objective logic, more subjective feeling. If you are an independent thinker and want something that checks all sources of news media for bias or lies, or at least balances its “checks” this isn’t for you. If you want to confirm your assumptions or dislike for Trump, or get sources that more or less support msm, or long winded explanations as to why obvious lies are lies, in a similar style and bias as the WP, this app is for you. I choose to just search for answers online from various sources that state their bias up front, especially after trying our Kessler’s App - making sure not to use google tho.

4/5Debate
Great to have someone checking facts. I always check Kessler after important events like this. Generally, I agree with findings. But many lies go unchecked. When Sanders says that we pay 10 times more for drugs in US than Canada, that is not true. We pay more but not 10 times more. When Sanders says we can lower drug prices by 50%, that can’t be true if average profit margin is 15-18%. These facts can be verified!

2/5Bias
This app has a CLEAR bias on who they are looking to prove wrong. Majority of the stories that I saw where about one person or people that support him. It’s frustrating because I expected a fact checker to be unbiased, just stating the facts. I was also wanting to see the facts checked on both major sides of the campaign and other things going on in this country but that’s not what this app is. Just not what l was looking for.

5/5Love this app!
This is a well designed and informative app. I love it! Easy to navigate and very non biased. Everything we need to make an intelligent, well informed decision for ourselves in this polarized world we’re living in. Thank you!! Excellent job!

4.0
Welcome to version 4.0 of GlennKessler for iOS! It’s the biggest, most wide-ranging update to GlennKessler for iOS ever, so there’s a lot to unpack. Let’s get started: ∙ GlennKessler for watchOS. A simple and easy way to stay up to date with the latest fact checks, right on your wrist. The app displays the five latest articles and gives you a summary of each, along with the Pinocchio rating. And if you tap the “Save for Later” button, it’ll automatically be saved to your phone to read later. Speaking of which... ∙ Saved Articles. You can now save any article in the app to read later. To save, either left swipe on an article or tap the share button and then hit save. All saved articles can be accessed by tapping the bookmark icon and your saved articles are synced automatically via iCloud, so your devices are always ready to read. ∙ Today Widget. A fast, simple way to see the newest articles at any time. It’s updated daily — tapping on an article opens it right in the app. To get started, add it to the space left of your home screen. ∙ Rich notifications. Preview an article before opening the app by firmly pressing on the notification. You can then save the article for later or share it, right from the notification. ∙ Updated article design on iPhone and iPad. It’s slicker, more modern, and easier to read. ∙ Background fetching and caching. Articles are now fetched and updated in the background, so the app is up to date before you open it. ∙ And much more! Home screen quick actions, improved search, updated icons, videos in articles, and better dynamic text support, to name a few features. And of course, bug fixes.
