1. 5/5Love it. Ignore the complainers.

   First off, ignore the negative comments, especially the “money grab” comments. The developer has a right to fair pay for his work. The annual subscription is reasonable, and isn’t as bad as most other developers. Seems like people want to pay one time, and then have the developer constantly update it for free. I was against app subscriptions when it started catching on, but, with time I get it. I had several one time payment apps that I’d had for years, and, they had gotten quite stale and lifeless, and almost seemed to be developer abandoned. I don’t mind paying now, if I get regular updates. Give the developers a break. Used the original for what seems forever. I love the simplicity and accuracy of it. This updated version is a big improvement over the original. Feels cleaner and neater. I used it as my checkbook register, bills list, balance due on several monthly accounts. Other budget type apps I had used and tried were clunky and full of junk I never used, wanted, or needed. The only things I’d like to see are Home Screen widgets, and the date column only appear in selected budgets, it’s universal to all budgets when selected. It gets in the way on some budgets that don’t require dates. Other than that it’s great. Highly recommend.

2. 5/5This is my go-to budgeting app!

   Hello! I don’t often leave reviews but I felt a need to in this case. I have used fidget for years, consistently and with no complaints. It is simple, quick to use, and simplifies finances that I am very good at complicating. 🤣 I just came to see if there was an update for me to download and noticed that there is a new subscription version. I groaned at first, because I have the older version of fudget that I had already paid for, but when I saw some of the features I thought I would at least take a look at it. Put simply, it has all of the little things that I’d hoped to have added, and I’m very exciting at the prospect of a desktop version that syncs with my phone. I also noticed that if you already had an older paid version, Dan offers you a deal on signing up for the new version. For me, $15 (or $19 if you’re new) a year for this app that I use all the time is totally worth it. Why shouldn’t Dan get paid for something he’s created that’s so helpful?! Plus, it has a great name. 😘 Oh, AND you can use Dropbox to port over previous data in seconds. I was able to move all of my silly financial schemes that I’d already made to the new version in the blink of an eye. Thanks, Dan!

3. 5/55 star review for 5 star app with 5 star support!

   Love the Fudget app since it allows planning and budgeting on the fly, right on your phone. This allows you to carry all your pertinent data with you at all times. Very easy to use and is very powerful. Fudget gives you the capability you need without spending a lot of money on functionality you’ll probably never use. I started using the original Fudget app in 2023. The other day, I tried to open it and it wouldn’t open. I emailed the developer, Danny Connell, and told him I was having problems. Danny told me that the last iOS update rendered the original Fudget app inoperable. I installed the new Fudget app, (I call it Fudget+) and Danny provided me a procedure to “reclaim” my data from the old Fudget app (which was on my iPhone, but inaccessible). He didn’t have to help, but he did help and went the extra mile so to speak. I started exploring the new Fudget app and I realized Danny and the team have added a significant amount of new capability and functionality, including a desktop version. I’m going to have to put some thought into how to leverage all this new capability. Thanks, Danny!

   I reached out for assistance because I had been using the old version of the Fudget app and after an iOS update, it would no longer let me in. I had purchased the full version of the app so I was reaching out for help figuring out how to get back in to access my budget. I received a reply from Danny the very next day. He was extremely kind and took the time to explain in detail that the new app had been released some time back and that the old one was no longer functional. He gave me detailed instructions on how to access my budget in the old app and how to get it into the new app. He was extremely professional and understanding in his reply and that was appreciated and refreshing. I will absolutely continue using the new app because I felt like Danny valued me as a customer and made me feel like my concerns were valid and did his best to answer my questions. I love the app because it was simple and self explanatory to use. It is extremely helpful and I love using the app! Definitely consider giving this one a try if you’re looking for a budget tracker.

   The developer is dedicated to making this app a simple approachable way for anyone to easily manage their budget(s). The app is flexible and feature rich yet simple to use. I am a longtime user who is beyond grateful for the financial management finesse that Fudget makes possible. This is the perfect example of a concept refined and executed perfectly for those of us who have no want or need for overly bloated and complex finance software. The best app is the one you use regularly. Fudget is the perfect example of this. It is well worth its very modest subscription fee to support one of the finest developers on the App Store. This is not sponsored. I have been using Fudget for years and years to successfully manage the issue of “float” between companies with store cards linked to my debit card and my actual checking account so that I always know my true balance. I also use it to monitor my upcoming credit card automatic payments so that I always know exactly how much money I need and when I need it.
