1. 2/5Not updated or correct information

   Fires are not being updated on a timely matter and some fires are not even showing up. A huge fire was near Lake Tahoe and there was zero information on this app about it. There was a fire very close to my my home and this app said it was zero% contained for over 24 hours while it was put out about two hours after it started! Some people feel they should be able to trust an app that says their going to do what they are supposed to do but not this one. How do I know which info is correct and which is wrong? Creates more anxiety for people who want to know what fires are around them.

2. 3/5App has a major flaw.

   I tried to set my address. The app could not find it and would not allow the suggestion drop-down menu to close. I had to choose an address from the suggestions to get it to close. Only then was I able to drop a pin in the map to give my precise location, however the app ignores it and now my home is in another state across the country. I deleted the app and started over. This should be a pretty easy fix but I can see how it might really frustrate a new user and cause them to find an alternative app.

3. 3/5Good app, small problem

   I’ve been using this app for about a year now, and I’ve been happy with it so far. However, I haven’t had to remove a property until now. I added two temporary residences a bit far from home because my partner went out to a wedding in some unsafe areas and I wanted to keep an eye out for them. However, now that they’re home safe, I can’t delete either property in my list. Every time I’ve tried, the screen goes black, the app crashes, and the property is still in my list. My notifications are being filled up for an area that I don’t need information for anymore, unless those fires spread out my way. I would like to be able to remove the properties so that I can see notifications for my home again without having to sift through all of the unrelated ones, please.

4. 1/5Not good!

   This is a pretty lousy app in the sense that he asked for too much personal information. He wants to know your email, your name, your address, and cell phone number. I imagine he wants access to your location and maybe even contacts, that part I don’t know because I stopped registering when he asked me for my cell phone number and the address. Most of these type wants to know your location. I want to have to give me information about fires in any area that I want, no just close to my house.

5. 3/5Needs Some Improvements

   I really like this app and am thankful that Frontline is providing it for free. I rely on it regularly during fire season since I am in a very high fire hazard zone. I noticed that the alerts can come in a little late compared to other sources I monitor. Also, there are a lot of false fire notices (e.g., a fire service made an update to a fire event from last year but since the record was updated, it appeared in the app as a new fire). In some cases, the links for more information go no where. Some QA on the data would make this invaluable.
