   I think this app is great and I’m really glad that they have advance so far. The downside is that I can’t take off the toppings of the Sundaes there’s no way to take them off so I had to choose something which I am going to take off now while I’m eating it. They don’t have the option to add extra fries to my order and there’s no option to add it from the starters list either. I wrote yes I have an allergy but there’s nowhere to write with the allergy is before they cook the food they asked me when I got to the restaurant, but the food was already made and what if they cross contaminated it they would have to throw it out and make it all over again. Those of the only downside to have other than that the food is great and I was very happy.

   I am a Friendly’s lover for years, and lately, for the past 6 months, north haven store has been very disappointing. I always order from their app, and there is ALWAYS something wrong with my order. First, they forgot the entire food and only delivered the ice cream, I had to literally have an argument over the phone to get my money back. They wanted me to go over to their store to pick up my order that I ordered delivery for a reason. I only got half refund that time. Then I took a 4 months break from them. Today I decided to give it a try, tried the same store, north haven CT, ordered from their app, nothing fancy, nothing super special with requests, just a simple order. Well, one hour later, order arrived COLD, MUSHY, just disgusting. The paper bag where they came from stank of cigarettes, it made the food even more disgusting. There is no way that I can eat this, I’ll give it my dogs. I guess if a restaurant is using a delivery service, they should be able to be responsible for it, and make sure that their drivers are actually doing a good service. After the delivery, I got a text asking about my experience from 1=poor and 5=excellent, of course I rated 1, and the next text was, I’m sorry our driver did not meet your expectations, please click on the link for a better explanation. Of course the link was broken and did not work! So, if you are ordering from Friendly’s North Haven CT, be prepared to be super disappointed, have your food cold and late and not get any customer service from it.

3. 1/5Sad to see one of my favs going so far downhill

   At this rate, the Friendly’s in Haverhill will be gone shortly too. I ordered a large Reese’s Pieces Sundae with butter crunch ice cream. My son ordered a birthday cake Friend-z. He started to eat his first and there was a shallow layer of the blue birthday cake and then it was 3/4 vanilla soft serve under that. Barely mixed at all. I felt bad, until I started eating mine. First off, the ice cream was not the right flavor. Then I noticed that other than a small amount of peanut butter sauce and marshmallow sauce on the top scoop of (the wrong) ice cream, there was nothing else. I remember when I would finish the ice cream and there was hot fudge and peanut butter sauce still on the bottom, and it was so good. Now? It’s like they put one small scoop of all the toppings and called it a day. Terrible. Spent $8+ on a sundae and threw it away after 5-6 bites. I guess McDonald’s next door will get my business from now on, at least their McFlurries are mixed and are made correctly. Sad that such a great place to eat over the years (and I’ve been going for 40+ years) is going down the drain this far. If what I had tonight is the new standard at the Haverhill location, I won’t miss them when they are gone.

4. 5/52 orders for Carrie

   I placed an order through the Friendlys app and apparently someone else named Carrie placed a DoorDash order when I went to pick mine up I was told it was already picked up and then they told me it was a DoorDash order, I showed the woman at the counter my phone with the Friendlys app order showing it was not a DoorDash order. I really wish I got her name because she was very nice and helpful during a very busy time for them. She retook the order and said it would be about 15 minutes and they called me when the order was ready. Me and my family already enjoy Friendlys this just made them even better in my book because they did everything they could to make the best outcome from a mistake. FYI this was the BelAir Rd location

5. 1/5Not built from a customer perspective

   I used the app for the first time today. Complaint #1 there’s no place to leave a tip. I would like to tip, estate because I appreciate the workers who are willing to go in despite circumstances. I felt like a jerk for not tipping. #2 I’d appreciate knowing that the order is ready. #3 it would be nice if it included info about how pickup works. You know which location I’m at, seems like it could be location specific without much trouble. I clicked check in and it gave me a number to give my server. Did clicking it alert the store that I was there? Will someone bring it out? Should I just go in? I waited a bit and did go in. I said #XX and it clearly meant nothing to the people inside who asked for my name. Why give a number with no purpose? #4 why not prop the door open?!?!?! Every customer has to touch that same door handle. And then the bag with their food in it. I asked and was told it’s district policy that they can’t. Please explain why not.
