1. 3/5Asking for a lot of money for even the basic

   Data will display only if you pay a yearly premium. I think the developers should consider a different model where basic info is free and more advanced are paid. Example could be the calendar and race results. Everything else can be part of a paid subscription. It takes us 2 seconds to check the F1 app calendars and results and/or download the calendar on our phones. Hopefully the developers would listen and change their pricing. Obviously people are not happy based on all the negative recent reviews.

2. 3/5Solid app with some missteps by the dev

   Look, it’s a great app. I’ve used it for a while exclusively for the lockscreen widgets. About a month ago the dev seemingly decided out of nowhere to paywall all the features behind a premium subscription with zero announcement, update notes or warning. This was met with fairly harsh criticism, justifiably so. It led me to check out alternative apps, of which there are many. Fortunately it seems the dev backed off this stance rather quickly and restored the previous free widgets. They still have not addressed it. It really is one of the best apps for what it does, but just know that at any moment that could happen again. It’s nice to know your options. That said, as it currently stands, it’s a solid app and I recommend.

3. 1/5Poor Handling of Pricing Model

   Disclaimer, I work in software and am 100% for supporting developers financially for their work. Last year I purchased premium for this app even though I didn’t need the extra features just because I appreciated the work so much. As the app developed more, I happily found myself using some of the premium widgets. The developer has since changed the pricing structure and gated widgets I already paid to have access to. This is simply bad business. You don’t take things away from customers who already paid for them. It is perfectly normal to change the pricing model for new customer. It is also perfectly normal to create new tiers of features to incentivize up-selling, but changing the pricing structure to block content that customers already paid for is poor form. This is a fantastic app and I applaud the developer for their work but I cannot recommend paying them at this point. You have no guarantee that what you pay for won’t be taken from you if they decide to change up their pricing model again. I would change my opinion if the developer made things right for everyone who already purchased but until then, my recommendation is to go with one of several competing apps.

4. 1/5Two big problems

   1. The times for the widgets aren’t right 30% of the time, especially recently. Three weeks in a row now it’s had completely incorrect times, one week having the wrong times, then updating the times to another incorrect time, then simply skipping to the next race two hours before the race even started. 2. Multiple times the widget (one of the free ones) refused to show any data, saying I needed to pay to upgrade to get the timings. A free/cheap app that asks for money for even the most basic functionality is a scam. Do not recommend UPDATE: they already have the time wrong for the Brazilian GP Sprint Shootout (Widget says 10:30 local, real time is 10:00)

5. 4/5Really good app but..

   The lifetime purchase would be worth it if the scheduling was accurate. It’s saying that this weekend in Baku is a sprint weekend when that just isn’t true. It wouldn’t be that bad if it was just mislabeled but the timing for the “sprint” (what is actually qualifying) is and hour and a half late! This isn’t the first time this has happened I’ve missed multiple qualifyings because of it, any fan would find this annoying and I don’t think I’m being a Karen about this. I love the WDC and WCC widgets they are amazing and quick to update I just wish the false schedule would be fixed just as fast
