4/5Almost
Some qualms: The app is missing a song queue system, which is desperately needed. There does not appear to be an option to backup/export or save a playlist, unlike the Desktop version. A feature like this is really important, yet it’s missing from the mobile app. Song images/album covers often don’t load. Rearranging song order in playlists is quite slow (and occasionally crashes the app…) Sometimes when skipping through a shuffled playlist, a song will play repeatedly, requiring you to skip several times to move to the next song. This is not a big hindrance, but a minor inconvenience.. — On the bright side: There is no ads, which is really great. The UI is easy to understand and navigate. The ReplayGain feature is a life saver, making audio volume consistent (regardless of original file’s volume). Support for a wide variety of audio formats, such as Opus and Wav, is very convenient.

5/5Just what I was looking for
After dropping my mp3 player down a stairwell, I was hoping for an app that would allow the (256 GB) SD card (I had in the player) to be (via a card reader dongle) the music file location. (VCL media player, for example, requires the files to be stored on the device). I didn't want to pay for a subscription to gain this capability. This app did not come up on an app store search; I had to learn about it through one of those "best music player apps" web pages. That it's free adds to the blessing!

4/5Wonderful but
How do you not allow users to back up their playlists and streaming links? You’ve already developed file browsing and FTP, but didn’t make a way to export playlists, skins, and AU settings? I’m beyond shocked. If anything, it could sync to iCloud or allow me to export some file that contains the settings. If, for some reason, a dev sees this, add a database with the Album Mart. All that stuff should be stored locally and all the years due to export that with all the other stuff. You’re the best player that’s missing some of the most basic features.

5/5Supports a professional-grade workflow
I’m a music producer/engineer, and I usually never leave reviews, but I must say this app is excellent. It appears to do what many of the other music player apps struggle with: a no-frills experience that allows me to efficiently trial my work-in-progress tracks on consumer grade equipment by hooking into my file systems. Playback is smooth, high quality, and always up-to-date. A must have for anyone looking to optimize their production workflow at no cost. Big thanks to the developer of this app.

5/5Great app! Just a few things
I loveeee foobar; easy folder sharing, detailed playback controls, the layout, I could go on. Of course there’s always something the public wants to complain abt (that’s me I’m the public) I would recommend adding a queue and upgrading the shuffle feature so you can just click shuffle on a playlist and it’ll start playing instead of having to click on a song first then shuffle. Other than that keep up the great work! 🙏🏾
