Media Library can now access any folders on your device, content from other apps, USB storage, etc. Added SMB network share support using libsmb2. New network share credentials management system, no more user:password in share address needed. Media Servers page now uses new network location picker to add/edit addresses. Prettier display of network share names, "share on server" style instead of raw URL. Made remember last used browse/playback page across app restarts. Fixed media library merging albums & artists with similar but differently capitalized names. Your library might need rescanning (toggle folders off and back on) for this to take full effect. Added toggle for asymmetric search matching. Dropped support for very old devices. Lowest supported operating system is iOS 14.

Fixed Media Servers page regressions. Fixed dynamic track title reliability regressions since 1.5 series. Fixed album artist not set for albums with multiple album artists, resulting in multiple albums with same names being merged into one. If playing Matroska file with chapters as one track, individual chapter titles are now shown. Internet radio streaming reliability improvements.

Restored ability to manually input UPnP media server URLs. When turning console logging on, current backlog is now saved. If internet radio stream is stuck at 0:00, clicking same radio station again restarts it rather than doing nothing. Fixed skinned playback view showing nonsensical remaining time for internet radio streams. Made Media Servers page automatically search local network for SMB and FTP servers. Updated invalid filename character criteria; uploading unsupported filenames via FTP should fail more gracefully; allowed question marks in file names. Fixed Matroska embedded cover display. Reverted 1.6 "share on server" naming of shares in Media Library, to show network protocol (SMB or FTP or other) used. Moved console logs location, no longer creates "Console Logs" in music folder.

Fixed a bug preventing scanned ReplayGain info from being used, if not written to file tags. Fixed various UPnP related bugs. Added tweak options to disable auto discovery of FTP & SMB servers. Updated RAR extraction code to the latest official code release. Fixed a bug that could cause certain playlist manipulation operations to crash.

Added tweak option to enable iOS "measurement mode" that minimizes operating system processing of played audio. Workaround for relative URLs in UPnP server replies. Added option to disable pictures in folder browsing views. Fixed crashing if minimizing app while indexing iCloud folders. Fixed foo_upnp stream looping regression. Fixed various issues with manually-entered UPnP media servers, allowed editing of existing entries, made utilize new user/password system. Fixed UPnP incompatibility with Logitech Music Server. Fixed Ogg VBR bitrate display regression from 1.6.3.

Fixed startup lockup when last browsed location was an inaccessible SMB network share. Reverted use of system SQLite library introduced a few versions ago which was causing issues. Fixed a bug that caused authentication errors when using new network credentials system with FTP folders.

New versioning scheme in sync with desktop foobar2000. Database format changed, now allows any number of artists/genres/etc per track. Your library will be re-indexed on first run. Built-in UPnP media renderer, both client (play to another device) and server (be controlled by another device). New default skin icons based on Google Material icon set. Reworked settings page. Made folder pic sourced covers shown again for icons when browsing by folder. Fixed 2.25 regression causing missing cover art when playing music from folders rather than library views. Made clicking 'search' dismiss on-screen keyboard to show all results, in all search boxes. Renamed "iPod Library" to "Device Music Library"

Fixed lock up when swiping through views too fast. Fixed incorrect handling of non-alphanumeric characters in network passwords. Made asymmetric unicode search OFF by default. Use plain case insensitive matching for preferences search instead of asymmetric unicode search.

Media Servers page: use new network folder picker for adding bookmarks. Attempted fix for recurring app-dies-when-minimized bug. Fixed some UI glitches introduced in 2.25.2. Restored compatibility with some http://user:pass@host URLs entered in versions prior to 2.25.2.

Attempted fix for crashing on iOS 14 devices. Fixed incorrect rendering of skin volume slider element.

Fixed a bug in library indexing that causes Album Gain values not to be read into the database. To correct missing ReplayGain info, folders must be forcibly reindexed, by disabling & re-enabling in library settings. Made current live console log downloadable via FTP server. Fixed some rare crash bugs.

Fixed Ogg/Opus files with single chapter not showing correct track numbers. Restored display of total playlist length in playlist summary. Fixed wrong toast popup durations. Reduced use of shrink-text-to-fit in settings. Fixed stability issues when playing iCloud content.
