3/5Love the App But… UPDATED
“I love the app but I would appreciate if I can have the option to add substasks. That is literally the only thing holding me back from going all in on this app.” After developer’s response, I am inclined to look for other options. The solution provided is an overly complicated extra step that makes adds more work to the process of planning in the long run. Hence, the request for a direct subtasks feature. I do want to mention that the tags solution works if you are looking to use “multiple matrixes”. Please just add a subtasks feature and this app would be perfect since it brings in the full potential of using this app and be focused. And If anything, it would make people more inclined to use both apps since now you can begin breaking up bigger projects by subtasks (pomodoros). I really like both apps and would love to keep using them but if no direct solution for subtasks is in the horizon, I might have to look for that elsewhere.

5/5This app keeps my mom brain organized
This app takes my insanely long to do list from overwhelming to organized and my overwhelmed exhausted heart couldn’t be more grateful 😆. It literally helps me relax knowing my top priority to dos are so easy to see amid the million other things . I can focus on those first yet still see all the others if I have extra time . I love the Eisenhower method and I love this app . I’ve tried two others and this one is the best for me. I did have to add a little extra step to my weekly routine though … to purposely do one or more of the important but not urgent things on the list even if I had to stay up a bit later at night because my important and urgent priorities take up most of my time and then things like schedule a mammogram ( important but not urgent due to no preset deadline) keep getting pushed aside . That’s not the apps fault of course . If anything the app helped me see how to squeeze in self care and why that kept getting pushed aside . 5 stars for helping a mom schedule the all important mammogram 😆

5/5So Helpful
I can’t believe an app like this was free to download and use. It has been a game changer in terms of belong me sort out my schedule. I used to see a long list of tasks and shut down, but this app helps me sort out the things that matter most. Now, I can see how important tasks are, and I can add tags to filter them out, depending on what I want to focus on. I just discovered that you can also add a due date to tasks, and have them automatically move over to the important and urgent” section of the chart. I also really appreciate that the ad free version (with syncing) is available as a one time purchase. I can support the developers, while also not having a charge every month. $15 for an app like this may sound like a lot, but that’s like paying $3 a month for 5 months, except you get to use it forever. The integration with “Be Focused” is also great. Overall, I’m glad I discovered a simple, yet powerful tool to aid my productivity.

4/5Two years in — 4 stars
Still using Focus Matrix. This is the only system I’ve continued to use. Still like it a lot AND my wish for Outlook integration still stands so lowering my rating to 4 stars. I’m a few days in and thinking Focus matrix might do the trick. The interface and its a subtle way of “training” our brains to think in terms of the 4 boxes. I especially like that a task automatically moves to urgent and important as it nears its due date. Most importantly rather than feeling overwhelmed by an ever-growing list — which is when I tend to abandon an app — I am calmed by the fact that items are captured, and I only need to focus on the important/urgent items. On my wish list is for an integration with Outlook.

5/5Quick, Easy, Straightforward, and customizable- for free!
I’ve told almost all of my friends about this app. My favorite feature: if you tap the three dots (…) on the bottom right, there’s the handy option “Export To PDF”. I have used this feature more times than I can remember. Sorted categories with each task, a checkbox, and the notes you added in the “details” or “description” (can’t remember which one 😹) makes this a very handy tool! If this doesn’t convince you, you can set notification reminders and specific due dates/times with a date to auto-bump the task to Urgent & Important. If it’s repeated activity, no problem! It’s got that too! Only noticed a few minor bugs, that I later tested after I downloaded update, and found they were fixed! 5/5. If you’re distracted and wanna turn your calendar and reminders into a single, efficient, fancy shmanchy app? This is the one. 🙏
