1. 5/5Cant wait for more updates!!!

   I have a wonderful concontion of focus/proper prioritization inhibiting disorders so ive always been in need of something like this to keep me on track! There have been many other options ive tried but none have worked quite like this one. When i saw it at first i wasnt sure if id like it, as apps like this often drain your battery or arent actually good at holding you to working for extended periods of time!! This app does all of that perfectly which is why i think it is 100% deserving of a 5 star rating. Howerver it is still in its early stages and i do definantly see areas that could be improved!! some things i saw mentioned that i thought were good ideas were things like sleep modes, more rooms etc. And though these are all amazing changed i would love, personally i think that the #1 thing i would like to be added is a mode that doesnt have a set timer but instead keeps track of how long uve focused. This i feel would be helpful in situations where you arent sure how long a task will take you ensuring you stay focused the whole time without having to wait for the timer to end after finishing or needing to start it again in the middle of the task! Im not quite sure how implamentable something like that would be but either way i am extatic to see this project grow and im so thankful that something like it that ACTUALLY works finally exists

2. 5/5A little hack for your brain

   I installed this app a few days ago but only recently got the chance to actually try and use it and I put it to the test by starting off with a full hour focus timer as my very first. I had spent nearly twelve hours lamenting that I needed to cleanup my house and get chores done, only to get caught up (at first rightfully) in relaxing on a day off. But self care is not just relaxing and the Sisyphean force of chores must be rolled forward once again, so to this app I went. Normally when doing chores I find myself unable to stop myself from taking a “small” break in between tasks, but thanks to the hour timer I set I knew I had to leave my bean alone and so kept going and going and going…until suddenly not but ten minutes after my focus timer was up I had successfully finished all the chores I had been sitting on. I’m excited to have a genuinely helpful app to help me stay away from my phone entirely when tasks are to be done to help prevent those “small” breaks in between. I’m extra curious now to see if I can also use it to focus my attention away from my phone and take care of the long term things I’ve been putting off for years rather than just the pressing everyday chores staring me in the face

3. 4/5Good Not Great But I Like It But I Want More

   The title says most of it. This has been really helpful for getting me to focus, especially because there’s a level of guilt interrupting my bean (Philbert) while they’re knitting. HOWEVER, there’s not currently enough to decorate. And there are some paid options in the store that I really think should just be built into the game. Maybe 1,000 socks gets you a new bean skin or something. I used this app a few times over a handful of days, and now Philbert’s room is fully decorated. So what now? I just keep collecting all the different colors of things. Again, I get that the point is to help you get off your phone. But if I’m completing the game within a few days, it’s not really helping because now what’s the point of me helping my bean focus? I do really like the style and concept, but I’m guessing it’s still early days because there’s not a lot of goals AFTER you’ve decorated the room. Hopefully down the road there will be expansions - like a full house or something. Or more specific weird and fun decorations. Or if you’re taking a break you could do like a mini game or a word teaser or something. Anyway, in summary, I understand the purpose of the app and it is helpful, but the goal of decorating your bean’s room goes by way too fast with no real knowledge about what’s next to keep you motivated to keep using it. EDIT: excited to hear they’ll be adding more stuff as the app progresses!

   Surprisingly effective! This app is really worth a try if you’re having a hard time putting your phone down. The app is still very new and I’m really hoping it gets updates in the future. The one downside is that there isn’t much of an incentive to keep using this app after you’ve decorated your bean’s room, Which for me only took me 2 weeks. I wish there was more of a game aspect to make the app feel more sequentially challenging: like having to buy the cheaper, crappier furniture first before the good stuff gets unlocked. This makes the late game stuff exponentially more expensive but much more satisfying to collect. If there was a way to make scarves (the micro transaction currency) through agonizing free grinding I’d be so all over this app. And I bet even more people would be tempted to buy the scarves too since a lot of ppl tend to sink cost into something that translates to real game accomplishment. Right now it seems just like dlc that’s not integrated to the game. Again, this app is so charming and cute. I really hope the devs keep having fun and keep playing with this idea since I’ve enjoyed it so much that I kind of sunk to the bottom of the app experience already lol. I hope they find ways to make it an app that stays on people’s phones for years instead of just a few months before getting deleted.

5. 4/5Adorable focus app

   I really adore the Focus Friend app! I’ve been looking for a new focus app and I think this will be my go-to! The art style is very cute and calming, and the mechanics and layout are very simple and neat which is how it should be! I appreciate that there are no ads and also we’re not pressured into spending real money because the whole point of earning “socks” should be through focusing (duh!) and I think decorating our little Bean’s space as you go about your day is a lovely incentive! Personally, I don’t mind purchasing the bean skin packs for example because I would like to support the developers. This app still has room for improvement and like what a lot of other users have mentioned I would like to see possibly more rooms to decorate for our little Bean, more decorations, maybe an option to exchange socks for scarves, having little pets for the Beans also sounds really cute. There seems to be a small bug whenever I tap on the setting icon the music kinda lags so don’t know if that could be addressed. One suggestion if people find themselves with having completed decorating the room or completed collecting all existing decor, maybe there could be an option where you could “restart” and clear the room as well as reset the decors in the shop so that they could be earned again. I would also like the timer on the Lock Screen (when the app is closed and running in the background) to have a little icon of our Bean friend or something. Overall, I think this app is adorably effective as my Bean friend motivates me to focus on my tasks and I’m very eager to see how the app further develops!

   So far, this app has been a useful motivator for me to study . However I have some suggestions for improvement. Since sometimes the new updates for rooms take time it would be nice to have something else to save for (like food maybe, or clothes) It would also be really cool to occasionally get scarves as rewards in the non premium version.

   Such a great focus app . There's also some disadvantage which everyone could agree 1•Skins are locked all of them but if the owner could atleast give one skin free where you had to buy with socks(In the game) not real money i could have been satisfied 2•It only gives exactly 2hours to study if the owner could reduce the time it will be great like for 4hours or something.It had deep FOCUS where you can't get distracted by other apps (great)

   App is super cute! When you set a timer you and your bean focus. The bean makes socks which is the currency whenever you focus! You can buy furniture and stuff which is cute. the thing is that it feels like a game. You can literally go on apps that distract you WITH the timer on which is tempting. but, if you put deep focus mode on it disables the app while the timers on. but, you can cancel the timer whatever. its cute, helpful, and not a rip off! overall, I recommend this!!! super helpful!!!

   I didn't expect to love this so much. it's a great, low pressure way to set time limits for yourself and feel rewarded. It was great when released, but the additions/updates have been incredible. definitely recommend
