   I had an opportunity to upgrade for a flight and was traveling with another individual. On my app, the seats weren’t available, but was showing availability for who I was traveling with. I tried contacting Delta to discuss the problem and they were unsuccessful with helping and said that they couldn’t see any availability from their end and to check the website. The person that I was traveling with was able to see availability and called to request the seats since we were both traveling on the same flight together. We were told that they would give us a voluntary change since it didn’t show availability on my app. The person I was traveling with didn’t have medallion status and was able to see first class tickets available for the first leg of the international flight, but wasn’t able to upgrade to first class on the flight home. However, I was given the option to upgrade to first class on the last portion of my flight instead of the international portion. I then was told that in order to upgrade, I would have to upgrade the entire flight. I thought that was ridiculous because I didn’t have to do that going on my trip. I had regular seating and then first class for the longer portion of the trip. I should be able to upgrade regardless if it’s available on another person’s app and we are traveling together and both AREN’T MEDALLION MEMBERS. How ridiculous…

2. 5/5Flight from Tucson, April 27, 2025

   Our flight from Tucson to Minneapolis on April 27, 2025 got delayed which in turn was potentially going to cause us to miss our connecting flight to Omaha. The Delta app was already trying to re-schedule us on an alternate flight the next day. We were holding our breath and getting ourselves prepared to run from Gate F to Gate A(at least try to make it). We took one step off the plane onto the jet way and there was a Delta representative there with our name on his phone. He escorted us immediately through the service door, down the stairs and whisked us away in a Delta vehicle and got us from F gate to A gate and escorted us up the steps through the service door, onto the jet way and onto the plane bound for Omaha. We couldn’t believe this wonderful treatment. The Delta rep that escorted us has been with Delta for 30+ years and, to us, was an angel who got us home after a long day of travel. We felt that we didn’t deserve this most special treatment, but were so grateful with this Delta rep’s special care and concern. We were so stunned with Delta’s amazing treatment of us that we forgot to get the gentleman’s name that made a huge impression and is the embodiment of service. Delta, you should feel so proud of this special employee of thirty years. Thank you again Delta, we have told so many people of the amazing story of service that we experienced!!

3. 5/5Exceptional Customer Service

   I just recently had a flight from Houston to Atlanta. The flight was originally meant to leave from Houston around 1pm but was delayed for more than 8 hours, not taking off until 9:45pm. The flight itself was pleasant though and we landed in Atlanta around 12:30am. After we disembarked we were greeted by a very kind representative from Delta who provided excellent information, service, and communication to those of us who had connecting flights that we had missed. I watched her take wonderful care of a family before she got to me, and gave them great advice and counsel and they walked away satisfied and encouraged. She then had a pleasant conversation with me about manners and integrity as she booked me on a new flight for the next morning, she then confirmed that I had received two food vouchers and a hotel voucher and even walked me through the process of booking my room. She had the kind of customer service that marks your memory and it makes want to come back for another experience. I believe her name tag said Bahati. If she could be recognized by this comment that would be wonderful because she truly deserves some form of recognition. I’m sure that I am not the only customer who she’s helped to that degree. But the experience at the Atlanta Airport was wonderful because of Ms. Bahati and as a result I’ll still travel Delta wherever I go.

4. 5/5Outstanding Performance

   Thank you to our flight attendant Tim on our flight July 19th from Salt Lake City to Jackson Wyoming. Our connecting flight from Atlanta landed at gate A14 and our connection was boarding at gate A42 with less than 30 minutes to travel. Our daughter had to wait until last to exit our flight to Salt Lake since she required an aisle chair to transport to her wheelchair. Once transferred my wife and I who are senior citizens had to run(best as we can) to the other gate. As we got closer the attendants who were to board her came rushing and said they are closing the door and you’re going to miss the flight. They did wait for us and we were boarded. Immediately our angel flight attendant Tim arrived with 3 bottles waters and was just so kind to all three of us. Several times during this short 35 minute flight without service he came to check if we were alright. Upon landing we were again waiting till last to exit and he engaged us again in conversation and my wife verbalized how frustrating the day had been with my daughter receiving an unwarranted complete physical frisk of her entire body and a meticulous wipe down of her entire wheelchair ( it’s a manual)I suppose for explosives. He stated that unfortunately sometimes the frustration travels experience are lost on those whose job it is. As we were exiting to the ramp to ground at Jackson Hole he grabbed up our carry one and assisted down the ramp! Thank you Tim for being a saving grace to an otherwise frustrating experience.    It was shortly before 6:30 a.m., the pilot seemed to be taking the long way to taxi, it was very dark outside but I have flown out of our small airport enough times to think it peculiar, the pilot came over the P.A. announcing that the plane was pulling to one direction and he was uncomfortable taking off. While everyone was disappointed I didn’t notice anyone being rude to employees. The employees kept us abreast of the situation and made every effort to accommodate everyone’s travel needs. I had planned plenty of time for my trip so I laid back and let everyone try to make new arrangements. The employees were kind and professional, they made every effort to get passengers on their way. Sue at the counter made arrangements for me, provided me with food vouchers and I believe truly went above anything I had ever witnessed in similar situations. I received a text saying that I was scheduled to land in Detroit at 4:02 p.m. and my connecting flight would depart at 4:03 p.m. Sue reschedule my flight for tomorrow…it was more important to me that I have more legroom than arrive at my destination today. Everyone at the Delta counter can be proud of themselves for how they handled a difficult situation! I am grateful that the pilot decided not to fly since it turned out to be a hydraulic problem. The employees kept us well informed. Some people needed to get out right away and they were booked on another carrier (well done!). Delta Airlines should be proud of how their employees went above and beyond! I truly am grateful.
