4/5Gorgeous, well done app! BUT…
The features are awesome. The UX/UI is amazing. There is a reason this app has won so much praise and an Apple design award. My only complaint is that subscription options seems to cater only to frequent fliers. Sadly, I don’t get to travel as much as I’d like. And today, I’d have loved to buy a family subscription for a month (or even a week, though I detest the concept of weekly subscriptions, they’re usually kinda scammy… but this app is not a scam. Just make sure you keep aware that you might have gone for a weekly subscription). I wanted my family member to use this app for both flights they had today. I’d have loved to buy a subscription to cover both them and myself. And not have to buy a yearly version (family sub is only available as an annual subscription). This app deserves a chunk of change to use it fully. It’s just that well done. And I casually know one of the devs, and they are relentless in demanding perfection. But… it’s too pricey for something me and my family would use maybe twice in a year. This gap is the only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars. But if you or your family travels often, just subscribe. It’s so well done! I doubt you’d be disappointed.

This app is amazing. So much so I gladly pay for the Pro subscription. However, there’s one major flaw. When you plug in a flight that has two flights under the same flight number (out and backs/round trip flights) you can’t select the right one! It automatically assumes which one you want, and you can’t change it. All you can do is delete it. Come on guys! This should have been thought of. ): **Edit: This issue only happens when I search just the flight number. You can search by city pair and it finds the correct flight. Upgrading my rating since the amazing developers messaged back and clarified some. Thanks guys! 🛫💛 Response to developers: First, THANK YOU for replying back and asking for more info! That speaks volumes. If you’d like, share your email address (unless it’s somewhere I’m not seeing) and I’ll send screenshots. I work for a US airline and we have a lot of departures from the HUB, then the return back to the HUB has the same flight number. For example, AAL1782 DFW to MSP, then MSP back to DFW with the same flight number. Every time I try to add the flight before either of the trips has started or been completed, the app will only show one of the trips, not both. And it doesn’t give an option to dive deeper into the flight so you can pick the right leg. That being said, I did not realize you could search by city pair. I just tried that and it does find the right legs depending on which departure and arrival airport is searched. So it’s just when searching by only the flight number that issue shows up. Sorry for the long explanation. Again, thank you so much for responding! Literally the best app ever!

Edit update- shocker. My airline app was the issue. 😑 Edit Jan 2024- the app stopped syncing with my calendar but when the app updated two weeks ago it was fixed. Now iOS has updated again and the app OS back to not updating. I have a ton on my schedule and would like if it was synced again. I tried to send a message through the website but it said I needed to report issues through the app. When I tried to do that it just kept making a zip file without ever giving me a way to email anyone so I’ve resorted to deducting a start and hoping someone can reach out with a solution. I love this app! Since my airline banned being able to use some 3rd party apps I’ve really struggled with finding something that keeps me up to date on my flights. The only drawbacks are: I would love to see this available for for Apple Watch, I would love to be able to save individual trips. I know I can see past trips but they are all just grouped together as a long list of flights. It would be nice to see what I did on a three day work block a month ago. I love that this app keeps track of my inbound plane and when it’s delayed. I also love all the info on the aircraft like it’s age. This app is well worth the money for pro if you fly a lot. It gives me alternate routes if it looks like I won’t make a flight and I love know what gate we are going into as well as baggage claim info that I can give to my passengers!

3/5Great, but need works outside of the US
Listen, this app is clearly one of the best there is. The problem? The developers know this and their success has gone to their heads. If you offer any criticism whatsoever, no matter how constructive, on social media or elsewhere, the response is usually something arrogant or something along the lines of “we have the best data in the industry.” The issue here is that no one is attacking the app. It’s a fantastic app. They have to be able to take suggestions, though. Manual input has “been coming” for years now. Another issue is the inconsistent experience outside of the US. The cost of pro is the same outside of the US, but the experience is far inferior. I’m based in Europe and have paid for pro for the past 2 years. I just used it for 2 domestic US flights for the first time and the experience was shockingly good compared to what I get in Europe. I have no doubt that that is down to the availability of data in Europe, but the team also knows this. If your home airport is ex-US, then your pro price should be lower. It’s just greed and arrogance. I honestly do not see myself continuing to pay for pro until they can provide a consistent experience. If it weren’t for this and their social media interactions, I’d definitely rate the app with 5 stars, but customer service and interactions matter too.

5/5A Virtual Passport of Flights
Normally I never purchase subscriptions, especially in the settings of apps. However, as an avid aviation geek, I am thrilled to have come across this app. I have been able to coalesce all my flights together into this virtual platform. Some of the most salient features for me is the image of each aircraft for each of your flights and the information tied to each aircraft. I only hope that the developers can take it from here and add in more customizable features. One thing that I hope can be fixed is the ability to have all the image of the planes painted in that airlines livery. I have some flights added from a few years back that show up as blank/white aircraft. One other feature I hope to see in the future is the ability to map out your flights per airline or specifically out of a single airport. Again, I will continue to use this app religiously and can’t wait to see more out of it. UPDATE: Would love to have the ability to add in the date of the first flight for each aircraft. I don’t see that ability. Would love to see some new updates with new features in the near future.

          "body": "The features are awesome. The UX/UI is amazing. There is a reason this app has won so much praise and an Apple design award. My only complaint is that subscription options seems to cater only to frequent fliers. Sadly, I don’t get to travel as much as I’d like. And today, I’d have loved to buy a family subscription for a month (or even a week, though I detest the concept of weekly subscriptions, they’re usually kinda scammy… but this app is not a scam. Just make sure you keep aware that you might have gone for a weekly subscription). I wanted my family member to use this app for both flights they had today. I’d have loved to buy a subscription to cover both them and myself. And not have to buy a yearly version (family sub is only available as an annual subscription). This app deserves a chunk of change to use it fully. It’s just that well done. And I casually know one of the devs, and they are relentless in demanding perfection. But… it’s too pricey for something me and my family would use maybe twice in a year. This gap is the only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars. But if you or your family travels often, just subscribe. It’s so well done! I doubt you’d be disappointed.",

          "body": "This app is amazing. So much so I gladly pay for the Pro subscription. However, there’s one major flaw. When you plug in a flight that has two flights under the same flight number (out and backs/round trip flights) you can’t select the right one! It automatically assumes which one you want, and you can’t change it. All you can do is delete it. Come on guys! This should have been thought of. ): **Edit: This issue only happens when I search just the flight number. You can search by city pair and it finds the correct flight. Upgrading my rating since the amazing developers messaged back and clarified some. Thanks guys! 🛫💛 Response to developers: First, THANK YOU for replying back and asking for more info! That speaks volumes. If you’d like, share your email address (unless it’s somewhere I’m not seeing) and I’ll send screenshots. I work for a US airline and we have a lot of departures from the HUB, then the return back to the HUB has the same flight number. For example, AAL1782 DFW to MSP, then MSP back to DFW with the same flight number. Every time I try to add the flight before either of the trips has started or been completed, the app will only show one of the trips, not both. And it doesn’t give an option to dive deeper into the flight so you can pick the right leg. That being said, I did not realize you could search by city pair. I just tried that and it does find the right legs depending on which departure and arrival airport is searched. So it’s just when searching by only the flight number that issue shows up. Sorry for the long explanation. Again, thank you so much for responding! Literally the best app ever!",

          "body": "Edit update- shocker. My airline app was the issue. 😑 Edit Jan 2024- the app stopped syncing with my calendar but when the app updated two weeks ago it was fixed. Now iOS has updated again and the app OS back to not updating. I have a ton on my schedule and would like if it was synced again. I tried to send a message through the website but it said I needed to report issues through the app. When I tried to do that it just kept making a zip file without ever giving me a way to email anyone so I’ve resorted to deducting a start and hoping someone can reach out with a solution. I love this app! Since my airline banned being able to use some 3rd party apps I’ve really struggled with finding something that keeps me up to date on my flights. The only drawbacks are: I would love to see this available for for Apple Watch, I would love to be able to save individual trips. I know I can see past trips but they are all just grouped together as a long list of flights. It would be nice to see what I did on a three day work block a month ago. I love that this app keeps track of my inbound plane and when it’s delayed. I also love all the info on the aircraft like it’s age. This app is well worth the money for pro if you fly a lot. It gives me alternate routes if it looks like I won’t make a flight and I love know what gate we are going into as well as baggage claim info that I can give to my passengers!",

          "title": "Great, but need works outside of the US",
          "body": "Listen, this app is clearly one of the best there is. The problem? The developers know this and their success has gone to their heads. If you offer any criticism whatsoever, no matter how constructive, on social media or elsewhere, the response is usually something arrogant or something along the lines of “we have the best data in the industry.” The issue here is that no one is attacking the app. It’s a fantastic app. They have to be able to take suggestions, though. Manual input has “been coming” for years now. Another issue is the inconsistent experience outside of the US. The cost of pro is the same outside of the US, but the experience is far inferior. I’m based in Europe and have paid for pro for the past 2 years. I just used it for 2 domestic US flights for the first time and the experience was shockingly good compared to what I get in Europe. I have no doubt that that is down to the availability of data in Europe, but the team also knows this. If your home airport is ex-US, then your pro price should be lower. It’s just greed and arrogance. I honestly do not see myself continuing to pay for pro until they can provide a consistent experience. If it weren’t for this and their social media interactions, I’d definitely rate the app with 5 stars, but customer service and interactions matter too.",

          "title": "A Virtual Passport of Flights",
          "body": "Normally I never purchase subscriptions, especially in the settings of apps. However, as an avid aviation geek, I am thrilled to have come across this app. I have been able to coalesce all my flights together into this virtual platform. Some of the most salient features for me is the image of each aircraft for each of your flights and the information tied to each aircraft. I only hope that the developers can take it from here and add in more customizable features. One thing that I hope can be fixed is the ability to have all the image of the planes painted in that airlines livery. I have some flights added from a few years back that show up as blank/white aircraft. One other feature I hope to see in the future is the ability to map out your flights per airline or specifically out of a single airport. Again, I will continue to use this app religiously and can’t wait to see more out of it. UPDATE: Would love to have the ability to add in the date of the first flight for each aircraft. I don’t see that ability. Would love to see some new updates with new features in the near future.",
