1. 4/5Decent story but they want to fleece you dry

   The story I’ve watched is good but for their weekly VIP they charge $30. Other apps charge at most $20. I initially wanted to continue the story but once I saw that $30 price I gave up that idea immediately. Hopefully the story I’m watching or a similar one will show up in one of the many shorts apps I’ve downloaded. After all I have more than 10 of them on my phone. If I have to pay the weekly subscription for each one won’t I go broke? So yeah there’s no lack of competition here, I’m sure these guys charging $30 will affect their customers and viewers. I’d advise them to set it to $20 like everyone else.

2. 2/5Not really worth it…

   The stories they choose to film are some of the worst ones available on the hundreds of reading apps. Clichéd toxic love stories of a pathetic woman forcing (or being forced into) a toxic marriage to an abusive, narcissistic man who glories in the pain he causes her. A man who throws a fake or real affair in her face with a woman who eventually attempts to kill her or have her killed. Then the man *suddenly* realizes that he loves the woman he’s married to, but only after she gives up on ever finding peace in life, and is about to die. All I can say is that at least some of the actors and actresses are decent at their job, but they can only do so much when given a ridiculous, poorly or un-edited, highly shortened script of a 300-1,000 “chapter” story written by someone who knows nothing of the culture/country of their target audience. Really not worth the price.

3. 5/5Captivating storylines

   I downloaded this app for one particular story that I was interested in and for the most part, it’s decent acting (a couple of characters are a little bit cheesy), the storyline is captivating and could be drawn out into a much longer series, and they did a good job on production. If I have to complain, it’s that they constantly ask you to pay for the stories, which, I get. They have to pay to produce them and pay the actors, I get it. But, I’d be much more willing to pay a fee to watch the entire story instead of paying for coins to unlock tiny snippets, or maybe a subscription service? Just a thought.

   I was enjoying the stories and was paying for little snippets at a time, until I decided to pay $30 for free access for a week. That’s where I messed up. I never received the free week, when I contacted them they asked for me to provide proof that I paid, lucky for me I had the receipt. They then came back and said they did give it to me, it just went to my other account. I only have one account! I only have one email account, I would have to have more than one email to have more than one account. I should have kept paying a little bit at a time so if they cheated me I wouldn’t be out $30. Just beware, there are many other audiobooks out there and I use quite a few and they have never stiffed me. They also do not refund money when they screw up! They just said it’s not their mistake. 🙄

   I want to update my previous review. Initially, I was very frustrated after paying for a yearly membership and not having my account activated for weeks, despite several attempts to reach support. That said, once the team reached out, they were very helpful and professional. They provided clear instructions to retrieve the required information, reinstated my membership very quickly, and communicated respectfully throughout the process.
