1/5Useful feature gone
I’m really disappointed that the “lock” feature has been taken away with the new update. For anyone who doesn’t know, the lock feature would cover up the on/off switch for the flashlight, so that you couldnt accidentally press it, or turn on the strobe when you dont want to. I used the lock feature every day when walking my dog; I put my phone in my purse while keeping the flashlight on and locked so I could use my hands freely to maneuver doggy bags and throw them away. I don’t know why such a useful feature would be taken away, but if it’s now guarded behind the new “ad-free” upgrade then that was not a good decision and I’m going to look for an alternative flashlight app either way. I would gladly change my review if this was fixed.

5/5You don’t want to not have one🔦
A couple weeks ago I headed out to my storage unit to organize a few things and start the purging process. On arrival I unlocked the padlock on the roll up door and (me,thinking I was being super smart🎓) placed the padlock🔓 ,with keys 🔑🔑attached, back into the empty hole it came from (💡so I wouldn’t lose them🤗) and proceeded to roll the door up and open. After finishing up inside the unit I rolled the storage door down to lock it. The padlock AND keys were missing. 😶 oh no. I looked on the ground, nothing. I stared up at the 20ft tall door and willed really hard for the keys to drop into my hands. Denied 🤔the keys had to be up inside there somewhere. Fortunately I had a ladder, which I placed and climbed to the very top ( the way the pictures tell you not to do) so I could search inside and around where the door rolls up on top. Finding the keys was way harder than it sounded. I used a selfie stick to video 🎥behind all of the places I couldn’t see or reach, (which was everywhere) and I used the flashlight 🔦to keep me from falling off the ladder 😉 ..and see. No light no bueno. 🧚♂️🧚🏽♀️🧚♂️🔦🧚🏽♀️🧚♂️🧚🏽♀️ have light be light share light Eventually found 🔐 wedged between 2 metal bars in danger of falling into a truly unrecoverable abyss which kinda didn’t matter because I couldn’t reach them anyway 🙄Right? Ha. Thank you wire hanger and steady hand. If not for the flashlight I might’ve been stuck there all night or had a nasty fall.

5/5Give credit where credit due
I saw one star reviews. All said pretty much app didn’t turn on in bad cell areas or with no wifi. So i turned off wifi and turned on airplane mode. I opened and closed program 10 times and it worked fast and easy no hesitation 10/10 times. Only bad thing is ads but not terrible. All at bottom and don’t screw with the program. Its a free app and a great one. I understand they have to make money. Coincidentally I also downloaded another flashlight app where interface looks like car key. I tried opening in airplane mode with no wifi and it froze and wouldn't open. Don’t know the name. I deleted when it happened. Hope this helps. This app in legit. I normally don’t leave long reviews but when someone gives u a free great app and people lie it pisses me off. Legit great app. Also hasn’t slowed my phone. In past another flashlight app turned my phone into a snail

5/5Better
This is my third review of this app. The first two were one star: horrible. This review is much improved because I discovered you need to go to the APP itself to turn the flashlight on fully rather than just from the icon on the phone top. At least that is what worked for me FINALLY! No instructions anywhere, it’s just what I happened upon. Each of the options held very well....no fluctuating back and forth....a solid light, a flashing light or a flashing red....operator’s choice. I didn’t mark it five only because there were no instructions AND the light could have been a bit brighter in my opinion. Thank you!

Happy Holidays Everyone! Thanks for making this the #1 flashlight app in the app store! This version includes two great updates that have been requested by many customers. 1. Flashlight will stay ON until you turn it off. The app is now programmed to override the automatic iPhone sleep setting which previously deactivated the flashlight. Flashlight will stay illuminated unless you turn it off by pressing power button; close the app via iPhone home button; or, Lock your phone by pressing top lock button. 2. Remove Ads option! Although many of you may not see ads appearing in this app due to the actual "fill-rate" of ads being around 15% - For those who would like to pay $0.99 - you can now use the flashlight "Ad-Free" and help support our development team. Otherwise, enjoy the free version and you will still be using the exact same flashlight app with ads appearing only 15% of the time. Thanks for everyone's feedback and reviews and for helping to make this the number one utility app!

1.7
At our customers request - Removal of Ads. But, please read the following too. Thanks everyone. We regret the disappointment of some users with the release of version 1.6. Flashlight has always had Ads, however for a period of about 4 weeks ads were not appearing due to a small bug. Version 1.6 fixed that bug and ads returned - unfortunately many of you who downloaded within the period of no ads felt ripped off because all of a sudden ads were appearing. We understand how that can be very annoying and do apologize for whatever reasons you felt ripped off by. So... We would like everyone to know that we were not trying to "pull a fast one" on anyone - this app has had ads in it since day 1. But... to put you, our customers first, we have decided to release version 1.7 which will remove over 85% of the ads you see. Ads will appear at the top less than 15% of the time - some of you may never see an add - this will largely depend on when you use the app and if ads are available from the network at that time. We feel this is a fair compromise which provides you a great application and us the ability to still benefit from the applications we create. We hope everyone agrees that this is fair. We apologize for this inconvenience that has caused some to dislike the app and please ask that with this update you see our commitment to customer satisfaction, test the new version for yourself and please leave us an honest review and rating of the new version. Thanks Everyone and Happy Holidays.
