   I'm one those people that uses the flash feature on the camera for images but was irked it lacked another use. Not any longer! This app has created a function that saves time, money and adds convenience to an otherwise dormant feature. No more digging around for a flashlight in the car, purse, or having to carry one on your keyring. In this day n age our iPhones usually travel where we do. The app is so well thought out a child could be taught to use it in under a minute. Cell phones are no longer an oddity on a HS or JH campus. I've been informed some are seen at Elementary Schools. This feature would be good to install for use even in 3-6 Grades. Have the child turn it on at dusk so drivers can see the youngster crossing streets. All that one must do is locate the icon on the touch screen. At the touch of this icon, a brilliant White light instantly illuminates a working radius of 15+feet. (30 feet was my longest test. It was dim but I could see well enough to avoid obstacles). For women this app may serve as a safety feature also. Parked in a dark area? Turn it on and you can visually inspect the area, find your remote, and verify no one is lurking in the shadows, while also looking into your vehicle before entering. There are other apps that claim to be the best-that's hype. I tested this app against a rival's out of curiosity. This worked consistently, and has never failed in over 6 months of use, while the others have been deep six'd. I highly recommend it-it's a tool that you should never be without!

2. 5/5The best investment I've ever made!

   There we were returning from a daylong hike up to the top of Yosemite Falls and it was quickly getting dark. Time to whip out the flashlights, right? I remember earlier that day pondering what to take on the hike and flashlights just never crossed my mind. After all how long could it possibly take to hike to the top of the falls and back! I suppose the late start didn't help or stopping to walk around the village. Anyway, there we were picking our way down the trail in complete blackness with only the glow from our iPhones to light the way when it occurred to us that there might be an app appropriate for the occasion. And sure enough, we quickly downloaded our flashlight app and lit up the trail as if it were noon. We even rescued a few others who were in the same situation on the trail. Great app! Simple, useful, can't do without! I'm using it constantly. Thank you!

3. 5/5No ads, no accidental turn off.

   Many flashlight apps have ads or too many useless options that are easy to activate with the touch screen by accident. These options often turn off the flashlight or activate a strobe feature or some other garbage. For this app, the light turns on by default when the app is opened, and on/off switch for this flashlight is right in the middle of the screen, so the edges of the touch screen can be grabbed or handled clumsily without unintended effect, and it also requires a simple but deliberate motion to toggle. That means when I am fumbling around in the dark, my light stays ON as it should. Using the flash as a light should be a built-in feature, but this app is the very next best thing, and well worth the purchase price.

   Been using this app for over a year. Use it all the time. Very handy and simple app. It works quickly and reliably. I particularly like how distinctive the icon is on my home screen. Makes it very easy to quickly find and launch the app...which is nice when you are standing still in a dark room waiting for a little light before you can start moving again. Every night when I come to bed, I use this to light my way without waking the wife. Then i leave it on my night stand as a little night-light for a few minutes as I get situated. Creates a nice glow throughout the room without bothering anyone. Surprisingly one of the most used apps I have. Go figure.

5. 5/5It's always there!

   Shoulder-to-shoulder I stand alongside millions of women who are always there when their men have crawled under the sink with no thought of themselves (or of anyone else for that matter) and then screamed "Honey! Quick! I need the flashlight!" Who knows where the flashlight is? Nobody. But I know where my iPhone is...ALWAYS. And this little extremely simple app never misfires, never fails, doesn't burn out, and no batteries required. Of course, since my husband travels a lot I am often the brave one under the sink myself. I rest my case. This may be the most practical & useful app I have (except for the one that lets me pop bubble wrap without actually owning any bubble wrap).
