  1. 5/5Awesome options

I’ve used this unit and it was great from the beginning. It not only read the codes that were stored in the PCM/ECM but it lets you clear them and reset (turn it off) the the check engine light as well! With all stored codes and light cleared, I drove the car for over 300 miles (75 will do) but I drove the car as I normally did for a few days and rechecked the code(s) when I had a little time to do something about the regenerated code(s) the check engine light warned me about! I checked the codes and found out that my issues were simple to fix and cost me less than $200 to fix! I did an overkill on a lifetime warranty set of coil packs (simple install) instead of going through testing all and replacing one of them for about $39. I chose to replace all 4 with lifetime warranty cause I believe that if one goes others may soon follow! Not right away but the cost was low enough to pay for my peace of mind that all were going to last me till I was done with the car or it was beyond reasonable repair. I love this unit because if you have enough car repair knowledge you can do it yourself! If not it directs y’all to someone in your area that you can call or take it to! I recommend it to all of my family and friends who want/need to save money on repairs and it gives you specifics about what’s going on so y’all don’t get ripped off by shady people who want you to pay too much money to fix your car. Thank you for the peace of mind and inexpensive product that saved me a lot of money!!

  2. 5/5Fixing My Taco

Got me 2001 Taco. Yeah, it's 24 years old and has run up the odometer to 330,000 miles, so I'm not surprised my check engine light started lighting up for multiple items about a year ago. I was constantly working on it and my neighbor seeing me bought me Fixd as a christmas present. I absolutely LOVE it. Before I was constantly having to go to an auto parts store to use their device. If you're a DIY or a gear head in your spare time then this device is for you. Easy to use. All you need is the device, a vehicle and a smartphone. The app is user friendly and well designed. I like that you can have multiple profiles for different cars (I've been fixing my partner's car as well). The profiles log codes your engine has thrown in the past. Last oil change. Battery and tire life. The free feature has many features I like. The paid version, which I don't have and only because I don't plan on my vehicle breaking down all the time, has great features as well. Live, 24/7 mechanic hotline to help you figure out the problem. It supplies you with an estimated cost a mechanic shop would charge you to fix issues. I'm a big fan of this device. I've installed a new starter, fuel filter, MAF sensor, O2 sensors, Alternator, Throttle position sensor, Ignition Coils and I wasn't even mechanically inclined before all this. Most I've ever done before was change a tire, oil and brake pads. Cleaning out my Idle Air control Valve tomorrow and hope it will be the last of my problems for another 300,000 miles. I'm gonna run this Taco into the dirt.

  3. 5/5Growth

This app has saved me so much as a young DIY’er who cant afford nice things so i have to take older things and make them nice. Ive been with this app for about 2 years and man has it come a long way! I don’t pay the yearly subscription but just whenever i need the function’s required for premium i will grab a monthly one. Must i also add in the AI mechanic is mind boggling realistic. Ive had full on conversations with it and honestly could of told me this was a true living human. All the way from saying thank you and even reassurance that im not completely stupid lol. The AI doesn't miss steps or leave out any possibilities. Ps… if you ask the AI mechanic how to use a certain in app function or process he will guide you through that also! Like live data and the meanings behind scan results with possible problems. With all the money i save from not paying a mechanic for basic car needs is well worth the premium chrage! Hats off to the developers and his team. Keep doing your thang. The little guy support's you!

  4. 1/5I really wanted to like this but...

I understand you need WiFi or cellular data to connect to databases, stay updated etc etc but when your stuck somewhere with bad phone service it won’t work (only mentions Bluetooth but the data required always is inside after you buy it....) my $15 OBD2 will save the day if you have no service and you can use apps to update it when possible and uses Bluetooth and has many of the same features without the gimmick premium service..really, 7.99/mo? I’m a developer and can’t believe for certain services you need premium when some should be optional. I like the like the live gauges with a mounted tablet, but you need data to login lol.... other apps that connect to much cheaper OBD2 devices with live gauges work with no data (why would you need service data for that..?) oh, you need a required account to login with device to access that, dumb. I’ll stick to something else where I don’t need live data to login, especially if you’re stuck in a dead zone with no service. Come on. Would give 5 stars with such minor development work and fix many of the negative reviews. I could go on more how this can be easily improved while still giving out a premium option but this is just a disappointment (for me) I’m sure it’s fine for others that are not aware of unlocked OBD2 devices that cost 1/4 the price.

  5. 4/5Best option besides professional

This app is a comparable OBD reader with professional diagnostic tools. It’s only missing comprehensive transmission and wheel sensor services. More graphing and data logging services are warranted to keep up with competition. The base configuration is well justified, but premium isn’t worth the money yet. I used this system from the beginning when it barely even worked and it has become one of the most reliable diagnostic systems available without paying hundreds of dollars for the results. If they keep developing the system to gather as much info as possible with no extra headaches this will be the top of the line diagnostics at a fraction of the dealership costs. It’s only given 4 stars because the premium service offers nothing that a competent technician would use with the free version. If any free features were made to be subscription only I’d drop this in an instant. Prioritizing the capabilities of this device without extra monetizing is the only path forward for long term success of this device.

This company is a rip-off. I bought the devise, then 2 weeks later they hit me with a $99.99 charge for some service I knew nothing about. Don't get scamed, pass on their BS.

Instantly tries to force into a subscription without your knowledge and puts the x in the top corner so you think you have to push continue to proceed. very deceptive and you literally don't need the subscription for diagnosing your vehicle
