Overall, I really enjoy this game. I like both the hidden pictures as well as the match 3 games. What I love is the added goal of working through the classical novels. To me, that is one of the best features of this game. It is exciting to open up a new novel and discover the hidden pictures from it. I also enjoy the ‘sneak preview’ I get of upcoming novels in the weekend team tournaments. But a few things I don’t like. While I know the hidden pictures are supposed to be hidden, for the most part, some images are just too fuzzy. I feel as though I am constantly in need of cleaning my glasses. Another thing is the price of things. I don’t mind paying a little here and there as a thank you to the developers who put a lot into the game. But I can’t justify paying huge amounts of money for these things. And finally, half of the ‘rewards’ or ‘boosters’ I get, I have no idea what I am supposed to do with them. I feel like I was just thrown into the game and am having to figure things out on my own, and I often wonder if I am missing something. I also find it difficult to make it through the match 3 games, even when it doesn’t say they are hard. When my turns run out, I still have about half of the items to still remove. I am a long-time match 3 player, as I played Fishdom since 2017. Since they have been going downhill, I was looking for another game to take its place, and I think this is it! So, if you make some improvements, you will likely have a long-time player. (Because it is my goal to at least make it to Pride and Prejudice!)

I love this game! I always play the Hidden Object games - never the Match 3. PS: I hate the ‘spot the difference’ games! You have got to get rid of some of these spot the difference games they’re driving me mad! Update: just a couple of criticisms: I rarely play the match three games ~only if I can’t avoid it, but I’m constantly getting bonuses for the match three games and I never use them. Maybe there could be a choice between what kind of bonus you get? Also, when I play the hunt the treasure games they’re always changed to the dark mode-all of them! And it really spoils the game because I hate the dark mode, and I noticed that other people don’t seem to play it as much either when I look at the results. I guess the bottom line is, my suggestion would be give us more options for the different modes of the game, such as being able to choose between spot the difference and kindred spirit for example, and between the match three and the hidden object games ~I think this would improve the game. Thank you for listening. *** seems as if lately they’re making the game more difficult, especially in the more advanced levels. It’s almost impossible to complete some of these levels without buying a lot of bonuses. It’s actually spoiling the game for me because I don’t spend a lot of money on games. I wish they would put it back to the way it was before.

The graphics and vocabulary used are great. The game is creative and challenging, but it is truly cost prohibitive once you really get into the game. And what is the use of earning gold coins? You can’t buy rubies with them, and you can only earn rubies very, very sparingly. It’s the rubies that you need to use to buy the devices you need to help you along the way. It is for these reasons that I downgraded the gaming experience, am contemplating deleting the game altogether, and have not mentioned it to friends. I need certain assemblers but can’t earn them even though I win the game. I do spend money on this game but come on be fair. Please consider making it plausible to earn assemblers without having to MOSTLY use crystals. UPDATE. I just recently deleted the game even though I enjoyed it. I simply can’t justify spending that much money on a game. Perhaps you might consider making things more reasonable to buy. Best of luck. Update...The bottom line is to make the game more affordable for a wider range of players especially during this long drawn out pandemic. Actually, I can’t see that you have changed that many things that were in need of it. It is for this reason that I haven’t suggested it to friends. Sorry. Please make it easier to use gold coins to buy crystals as well as our own money. Also, let us use gold coins to buy tools etc. Please think about it. Thank you.

I enjoy the game quite a bit and also play other 5G games. I do have some frustrations, however. Coins- should be used as monetary value: purchase items versus having to buy crystals. Yes I understand that when we buy crystals, 5G has other income, however, the collected the over 1 million coins I have have no value. I also think in lieu of or in concert with, coins payment for “unlimited play time” would be great! Say 5 thousand coins for 60 minutes of play time. You have talismans that allow us to collect large amounts of coins, however, nothing to spend them on. Next - when “free play time” is won during the “ special book/chest” time, the back and forth between choosing, moving to “ get” the investigator and back again the “ free time” clock is running, taking away from play time. This seems a bit unfair. The list of “collection items” on the left of the play screen should automatically populate to the book opening, Please. Players should not have to choose from the list, just let us go the book, pick place and see what we are trying to find. Instructions are needed on how to set up Wish List. I have been playing for over 3 years and I still don’t know how to do this. Syncing with other devices with my 5G player account- Not easily done and anytime there is an update on either 5G end or phone end the syncing goes away and doesn’t come back sometimes. Instructions for ease of use would be great! WHY did the ability to chose the mode for finding object go away? I appreciate the chance to share my thoughts truly. I have no defined expectations for any changes, just appreciate being able to share thoughts. Thank you Mimi

4/5Great game, with minor story issue
I have really been enjoying Sherlock. The puzzles are well done and the story is great. I love the different characters and mysteries Sherlock encounters in the different books. The reason why this review is 4 stars and not 5 is due to the story’s beginning. I have played this game for a while (got as far as Aladdin) and had seen in past journal entries that the beginning events were different than before. So I decided to start over, see how different things were, and do the beginning again. I was sadly disappointed (spoilers ahead here; if you don’t want them, please skip to the next paragraph). The Hound of the Baskervilles and Alice in Wonderland stories are completely different and not for the better. Sending Sherlock on wild goose chases in Wonderland and the old Baskerville events at the beginning fit more with one of Moriarty’s schemes to me than the schemes in the new beginning. Moriarty’s schemes in the old beginning felt more like a criminal mastermind than the new one (more megalomaniacal villain, fun, but not Moriarty to me). The journal entry for the beginning Hound of the Baskervilles level is another example. The dialogue seems to imply Stapleton was arrested, yet the ending journal entry uses the old beginning where he died. If the developers are reading this, I would please ask that you consider changing the beginnings back to how they were. No more spoilers. Aside from that, this is a great game. If I had played this game starting with the new beginning, I would have given it 5 stars. As it stands, it is still pretty awesome, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Good game.

"body": "Overall, I really enjoy this game. I like both the hidden pictures as well as the match 3 games. What I love is the added goal of working through the classical novels. To me, that is one of the best features of this game. It is exciting to open up a new novel and discover the hidden pictures from it. I also enjoy the ‘sneak preview’ I get of upcoming novels in the weekend team tournaments. But a few things I don’t like. While I know the hidden pictures are supposed to be hidden, for the most part, some images are just too fuzzy. I feel as though I am constantly in need of cleaning my glasses. Another thing is the price of things. I don’t mind paying a little here and there as a thank you to the developers who put a lot into the game. But I can’t justify paying huge amounts of money for these things. And finally, half of the ‘rewards’ or ‘boosters’ I get, I have no idea what I am supposed to do with them. I feel like I was just thrown into the game and am having to figure things out on my own, and I often wonder if I am missing something. I also find it difficult to make it through the match 3 games, even when it doesn’t say they are hard. When my turns run out, I still have about half of the items to still remove. I am a long-time match 3 player, as I played Fishdom since 2017. Since they have been going downhill, I was looking for another game to take its place, and I think this is it! So, if you make some improvements, you will likely have a long-time player. (Because it is my goal to at least make it to Pride and Prejudice!)",

"body": "I love this game! I always play the Hidden Object games - never the Match 3. PS: I hate the ‘spot the difference’ games! You have got to get rid of some of these spot the difference games they’re driving me mad! Update: just a couple of criticisms: I rarely play the match three games ~only if I can’t avoid it, but I’m constantly getting bonuses for the match three games and I never use them. Maybe there could be a choice between what kind of bonus you get? Also, when I play the hunt the treasure games they’re always changed to the dark mode-all of them! And it really spoils the game because I hate the dark mode, and I noticed that other people don’t seem to play it as much either when I look at the results. I guess the bottom line is, my suggestion would be give us more options for the different modes of the game, such as being able to choose between spot the difference and kindred spirit for example, and between the match three and the hidden object games ~I think this would improve the game. Thank you for listening. *** seems as if lately they’re making the game more difficult, especially in the more advanced levels. It’s almost impossible to complete some of these levels without buying a lot of bonuses. It’s actually spoiling the game for me because I don’t spend a lot of money on games. I wish they would put it back to the way it was before.",

"body": "The graphics and vocabulary used are great. The game is creative and challenging, but it is truly cost prohibitive once you really get into the game. And what is the use of earning gold coins? You can’t buy rubies with them, and you can only earn rubies very, very sparingly. It’s the rubies that you need to use to buy the devices you need to help you along the way. It is for these reasons that I downgraded the gaming experience, am contemplating deleting the game altogether, and have not mentioned it to friends. I need certain assemblers but can’t earn them even though I win the game. I do spend money on this game but come on be fair. Please consider making it plausible to earn assemblers without having to MOSTLY use crystals. UPDATE. I just recently deleted the game even though I enjoyed it. I simply can’t justify spending that much money on a game. Perhaps you might consider making things more reasonable to buy. Best of luck. Update...The bottom line is to make the game more affordable for a wider range of players especially during this long drawn out pandemic. Actually, I can’t see that you have changed that many things that were in need of it. It is for this reason that I haven’t suggested it to friends. Sorry. Please make it easier to use gold coins to buy crystals as well as our own money. Also, let us use gold coins to buy tools etc. Please think about it. Thank you.",

"body": "I enjoy the game quite a bit and also play other 5G games. I do have some frustrations, however. Coins- should be used as monetary value: purchase items versus having to buy crystals. Yes I understand that when we buy crystals, 5G has other income, however, the collected the over 1 million coins I have have no value. I also think in lieu of or in concert with, coins payment for “unlimited play time” would be great! Say 5 thousand coins for 60 minutes of play time. You have talismans that allow us to collect large amounts of coins, however, nothing to spend them on. Next - when “free play time” is won during the “ special book/chest” time, the back and forth between choosing, moving to “ get” the investigator and back again the “ free time” clock is running, taking away from play time. This seems a bit unfair. The list of “collection items” on the left of the play screen should automatically populate to the book opening, Please. Players should not have to choose from the list, just let us go the book, pick place and see what we are trying to find. Instructions are needed on how to set up Wish List. I have been playing for over 3 years and I still don’t know how to do this. Syncing with other devices with my 5G player account- Not easily done and anytime there is an update on either 5G end or phone end the syncing goes away and doesn’t come back sometimes. Instructions for ease of use would be great! WHY did the ability to chose the mode for finding object go away? I appreciate the chance to share my thoughts truly. "body": "I have really been enjoying Sherlock. The puzzles are well done and the story is great. I love the different characters and mysteries Sherlock encounters in the different books. The reason why this review is 4 stars and not 5 is due to the story’s beginning. I have played this game for a while (got as far as Aladdin) and had seen in past journal entries that the beginning events were different than before. So I decided to start over, see how different things were, and do the beginning again. I was sadly disappointed (spoilers ahead here; if you don’t want them, please skip to the next paragraph). The Hound of the Baskervilles and Alice in Wonderland stories are completely different and not for the better. Sending Sherlock on wild goose chases in Wonderland and the old Baskerville events at the beginning fit more with one of Moriarty’s schemes to me than the schemes in the new beginning. Moriarty’s schemes in the old beginning felt more like a criminal mastermind than the new one (more megalomaniacal villain, fun, but not Moriarty to me). The journal entry for the beginning Hound of the Baskervilles level is another example. The dialogue seems to imply Stapleton was arrested, yet the ending journal entry uses the old beginning where he died. If the developers are reading this, I would please ask that you consider changing the beginnings back to how they were. No more spoilers. Aside from that, this is a great game. If I had played this game starting with the new beginning, I would have given it 5 stars. As it stands, it is still pretty awesome, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Good game.",
