  1. 5/5Best Bird Cam

I’ve had my Feathersnap for about a year now. Since getting the Feathersnap, I get to see what types of birds are in my area, ones I didn’t even knew came to my feeders, record videos, watch them interact with other birds and just feel connected. My family loves when our repeat “customers” come back for a feed, we fill the feeder together, and having the ability to capture videos and seeing it in action is super cool. Other bird feeders can’t compare to the hands on action you get with this cam or how clear the photos and videos are. I just got the humming bird feeder now too and can’t wait to put this out for my family to enjoy. The in app games, treasure chests, and activities have been a huge hit for a bonus. 10 out of 10. Highly recommended

  2. 5/5Love the app

I’m really impressed with the FeatherSnap smart bird feeder. The picture quality is sharp, the motion alerts are quick, and the app makes everything simple to use. I started seeing clear photos and videos of different birds from the very first day. The feeder itself feels sturdy, and the battery life has been better than I expected. What I like most is how reliable it is. The detection is accurate, the night vision works well, and the whole setup took only a few minutes. It has made bird-watching fun for the whole family. If you’re looking for a smart, easy-to-use feeder that captures great moments without any hassle, this one is worth it.

  3. 1/5You will own nothing and be happy.

As if the cost of ownership wasn’t enough you are constantly harassed when you open the app to “unlock features” that honestly should have been included from the get go. Look at Wyze Camera for inspiration. There are options to turn off notifications for the side “game like” features like seed drops and bird stuff. I opted to leave the cleaning reminder, low battery and disconnected notifications on. But turned everything else off. There should also be a setting to turn off the ads for subscriptions. You already paid $200 for the feeder. Being asked for $$$ every time you open the app gets old. Fast. Why try to bleed a customer who already bought your product for even more money? Every time you press a button on the app a ad pops up. Once the novelty wears off they likely hope you forget your paying them. Everyone is moving to a subscription based model lately. $60/year or $7/month. So what was a $200 feeder is now $60 a year on top. Remember when you used to buy something and it worked straight out of the box? Yeah me too. Now you have to register the camera with their app or it won’t work. They ask for Bluetooth privileges and your location. I wonder how they use that information on the back end. The pros: Good build quality feeder. Very pleasing to look at. HD picture quality and holds a lot of humming bird nectar.

  4. 2/5You don’t get much for $200

No info about viewing videos or “snaps’ if you don’t pay for subscription. Not on the website, not in the app, in the instruction manual, or in the company created ‘blog’ that is simply their instruction manual revisited. Disappointing. It was a $200 Father’s Day gift that is basically a live feed of your feeder that you can’t capture photos or videos from without an additional recurring subscription. Can’t recommend it. The company has a great product you can’t really use unless you agree to continually pay in perpetuity. It’s not a technological limitation. The camera and mic are high quality. They just let the wrong people at product development make some poor decisions about basic product functionality. Don’t buy it. You will be disappointed. Maybe their competitors will have more sense when it comes to what you get for $200.

  5. 5/5Great experience

This is a great way for Bird lovers or nature enthusiast to experience natural activity from the convenience of anywhere. The images are super clean and crisp. It’s pretty awesome to watch birds in flight and get clean, crisp images that honestly beat the competition hands-down. I look forward to sharing some of the unique birds I never knew existed around me with friends and family. I think it’s pretty great that I can collect birds using some of the apps tools such as AI identification, or their bird ID tool! Also nice that the application tells me what preferred seed and if I can expect to see that bird in my area, it is always nice to know what I can expect to see at my feeder.
