   All right I think this app is really good. I’ve only had it for. I would say about two weeks and a half but it’s actually really good. I have a few concerns because one day I did open the app and the app wasn’t working at all when I tried to search something, it would say I think it said error and I was just like what when I tried to go to any other thing, it wouldn’t search or do anything for me that was just one day though and the next day after that it was working perfectly fine. It’s been working perfectly fine for like the last three days so I don’t have anything other than that other than that I would say that’s pretty good. I think I would really wish that It had every single fan that it does have AO3 but other than that, it’s pretty good. I respect whoever made this because on AO3 I get really confused but I love this app and I love whoever did it so yeah, that’s it

   I really thought this would be great, and I was wrong. The developer plays ads when you go to the next chapter, hides some words behide a paywall (not sure which, read that in the subscription) and refuses to let you download stories! I read in a developer response to one of the other reviews that they had full permission from AO3 to put ads in this app (which means they are profitting off other's stories!) and if that is true, I have one question. Why does this app have unoffical in it's name? Another thing, I have no proof, but this app feel entirely AI generated. The newest model of ChatGPT often uses emojis as linebreakers, and what do you know, emojis are everywhere. Further, the app feels badly designed, for example a search function for pairings that does nothing. The worst part of this app? It had potential. At the start, there is a chat with an AI(?) attempting to fit you with a story you would like the most. I am generally opposed to talking to AI, but this is the environment where it shines. AI is just a prediction machine, and predicting a story the reader would love would be a great feature. Problem is, the chat is unique to the start of the app or the $14/month subscription. They could totally run this entire app off of the banner ads always playing at the bottom, that would be understandable. Instead, they drag down the user experience for just a bit more money. I really hope you respond to this, developer, because I want to see your reasoning. One star.

3. 3/5Great but for Offline Mode

   This app works really well- with a couple small complaints. The pros are that the interface is nice, tagging system is translated over, and it feels good. Cons though- 1. I paid for the upgrade (which is an ongoing payment, not a one-and-done) and yet though it mentions offline mode, I don’t see any way to turn it on for individual fics or the entire ‘library.’ If it’s there, it isn’t intuitive, because I did a fair bit of digging. 2. The search function could GREATLY benefit from the use of filters. This is a little weird because if you open an author profile, then you’re able to filter by fandom, relationship, etc. when you search a title or author name initially, however, the filter button doesn’t appear. Subsequently, you really have to dig to find titles that might have common names with an author with a common name as well. (Ex- if your author’s name is ‘Evidence,’ that search term will obviously bring up more than just their fics.) 3. The censoring of swear words is exhausting. And again, even though I turned that off, it’s still around. Maybe it’s a bug, but it’s annoying and definitely has me looking at alternative reading platforms.

4. 2/5Kinda works, crashes every 5 minutes

   Before there was an issue that took a couple of days where the app wasn’t working. Now whenever I’m in any story it’ll literally crash the whole app after 5 minutes or less. After the first crash if I open the app again I usually have less then a minute before the app crashes. I reset my phone and that usually helps not let it crash in less than a minute. Now recently the scroll feature when I’m trying to pick topics and characters and themes, doesn’t scroll down at all. I would honestly pay for the full version if this app somewhat worked. But this app doesn’t even function normally. Whenever I accidentally click an ad it’s obviously male ware that says my system is hacked and I need to install this new whatever. so you guys aren’t checking who buys ad space on your platform and aren’t looking out for me the consumer just your bottom line. If the app just worked I would pay a premium but it can’t even function for 5 minutes without crashing. And yes I checked if it needed an update and guess what, it did, you know what happened? Nothing!!! The same issue was still happening amazing update guys

   I am leaving 1 star comments to all of these unofficial ao3 apps as a fandom writer because they are THIEVES. These apps are abusing free fandom works on ao3 for commercial purposes without any authorization. If you love those fandom works, go to the official website, and you can leave kudos and subscribe. Downloading this app does not make your life any easier, instead it seriously violates fandom writers’ copyright. -Updates: the developer’s response is avoiding the real question: are you making profits from free fandom works with any means with such permission? Are you still able to make such profits without the fandom works on ao3 website? There is never wrong with technology itself but the way people use it. From the statements announced by OTW, they have never authorized permissions for commercial purposes regarding the fandom works on ao3 as the writers own the copyright their works. If this is simply a website extension that improves accessibility for most websites, I would really appreciate it. But it is not. This app won’t exist without free fandom works on ao3 from the beginning and now people are making profits from fandom writer’s work and love. No matter it is illegal or not, I personally feel very sick of it.
