1. 5/5Update lifesaver!

   I downloaded this app a few weeks ago because I found myself on wiki pages every single day looking up stuff for certain shows. I was disappointed that there were no wiki pages on the app, nor a way to search for the “fandoms” that I wanted to look up. There was no search option, just a list to choose from. BUUUT as of today, they add a way to search from what you want, and get the wiki pages with all the info you get online. I’m extremely happy they decided to add this feature to their app. I really hope all the people that have one star reviews, because of the no search feature, sees the app update and charges their rating based on the performance now. I know that a lot of people are going to be really happy for this change!

2. 3/5Trolls,trolls,trolls

   The app itself is pretty good, its only real drawback is the astronomical amount of trolls. While some fandoms are much better moderated, others are not. You might join a fandom thinking its going to be full of people who enjoy the same thing as you. Only to then find a bunch of idiots trolling each other, and you, for joining, posting things that have nothing to do with the fandom. Or the typical tween with anger issues spewing empty threats on an app. (Seriously?) When I first got the app, I only joined a few fandoms, and they were for the most part great. Still a troll here and there, nothing I couldn’t deal with. After a while I had the “bright” idea, join more fandoms. Boy, let me tell you. That was a mistake. If you’re hoping for mature people who are into some of the same things as you, it’s a roll of the dice. What you’re more likely to find is a bunch of pubescent immature teenagers who think they know more about something that’s been around before they were born then you do. They will argue, they will belittle, they will be annoying, but if you can persevere,maybe, just maybe you’ll find a fandom that’s just right for you.

3. 4/5Better than mobile website

   I downloaded this because the website took a while to download ads, then once it did the page shifted up by quite a lot. It felt like pop-up ads, to the point where I got so frustrated that I downloaded the app. Having said that, I lost my ability to have multiple tabs open at once and quickly cycle through wiki pages, which would make the app five stars for me if they figured out how to implement this. Another feature I’d recommend is being able to load right into the last page you had open, or at least into the last wiki. A simple feature, but one that saves a few seconds of loading. Finally, the pictures on a wiki page don’t seem to be available at very high resolutions. On iPad I can “see full size image” which allows me to view maps with greater detail for instance, which would be nice on iPhone.

4. 2/5Defeats the purpose

   I was glad to have a way to quickly get to frequently referenced wikis without using Safari again. But the user experience actually makes it worse than even the browser. Not only does it use some horrible navigation methods, like it taking you back completely to the beginning of something when all you wanted to do was go back ONE page (as others have noted), but the deal-breaker for me is the huge font size that cannot be changed. In the browser, I have font as small as it lets me to fit more information on the screen at once. This app does NOT keep the font/zoom level you have in display settings or browsers and does NOT give you any way to change it from the god-awful huge eye-sore text. I didn't buy a $1K+ device to have to scroll through dead space and text big enough for those with eyesight problems. So, that makes the whole app (since reading is the whole point) worthless for me.

5. 4/5A Few Things still Needed

   The app is much better than it used to be, by allowing the user to somewhat access each wiki. However, it’s needlessly organized. Just give me the wiki and let me figure it out from there. The categories portion is pointless in my opinion. Also, the “Surprise Me” feature is really lame. The people that browse the wikis are usually big fans of that specific wiki’s content, so why does the Surprise Me link always lead to something incredibly common and well known. I like Star Wars a lot, and I clicked surprise me three times. The articles I got were, “Anakin Skywalker” “Yoda” and “Tattooine”. A big Star Wars fan would probably know those things pretty well, so it ruins the exciting aspect of that feature. Please make it like the website “Random Article” feature, in which a TRULY random article is shown, not just a boring well known one. Otherwise, it is very well put together.

   Can't sing in to the bookmark. I could sign in in the home page, but apparently when I go to an other page I am not sing in. Not a big deal, if I can use my phone keyboard. Yes, the sign of a specific page can't sign in because the app doesn't register keyboards. A big fail for the developers.

   whenever I accept the tos it just goes to a image of a plus and I tried uninstalling and re-downloading but nothing works. only giving 5 stars cuz I like Sierra Xiong's review.

   Upon purchase of this app by current owners, ad spam has become ridiculous and there seems to be an incredible increase on load times, more pages refusing to load, and some features completely hidden or done away with on most of the wiki. Been using the sight/app since 2013 and it's only gotten worse, but it's still convenient, just remember that the app does not display most wikis available on the site.
