  1. 5/5Fantastic app for cognitive linguistic evaluations

Amazing!!! As a dedicated speech therapist in an outpatient neuro rehab hospital-based clinic, I am constantly seeking innovative tools to enhance my practice and better serve my patients. My recent encounter with the F-STAC cognitive assessment left me nothing short of amazed. This comprehensive tool excels in evaluating crucial cognitive domains essential for rehabilitation, making it a must-have for occupational therapists (OTs) and speech-language pathologists (SLPs) working with adults. The F-STAC assessment offers a thorough evaluation of visual attention, sustained attention, problem solving, following directions, working memory, recent memory, and remote recall. What truly sets it apart is its integration of real-life tasks, mirroring modern-day activities like bill paying, grocery shopping, and scheduling appointments. This contextualized approach not only provides a more accurate assessment but also ensures relevance to the challenges individuals face in their daily lives. Drawing parallels to the ALFA assessment, the F-STAC goes a step further by simulating smartphone/ tablet usage. This feature captures the intricacies of navigating digital platforms—a vital skill in today's society. I was particularly impressed by the seamless performance of the app. Its smooth interface and glitch-free operation instilled confidence in its reliability, crucial factors in any assessment tool. The cherry on top is the beautiful report the app generates, which I can then upload directly into EPIC. Effortless documentation! While the F-STAC undoubtedly enriches my testing arsenal, I see potential for further enhancement, particularly in linguistic assessments. As an SLP, I believe integrating additional linguistic assessments would further amplify its utility in diagnosing and treating cognitive-linguistic deficits. The F-STAC cognitive assessment is a game-changer for rehabilitation professionals. Its comprehensive evaluation, real-world simulation, and seamless performance make it indispensable for OTs and SLPs alike. I wholeheartedly recommend it to my colleagues, confident that it will elevate the standard of care for our patients. **I had the privilege of accessing the assessment for review purposes, but my endorsement is based solely on its exceptional quality and utility in clinical practice.**

  3. 5/5Love it, needs tweaks

Love this innovative tool as n SLP in a hospital setting. The AI voicing can be a bit jarring and I would prefer skip options so I can explain the instructions to the patient or an option to pause a sub test and move on to another would be great if it proves too difficult

  5. 4/5Love this App

I love this app for the Home Health population, but I wish there was a way to give portions of it as subtests, instead of the whole thing. Sometimes its a bit long to get through everything. Lots a great information though.

  • 2.0

This update provides several significant improvements based on feedback from many users and teams. 1. Users can now customize the assessment by selecting individual sections. A selection grid allows users to see which sub-test to assign, and what cognitive domains a sub-test is targeting. The report will only display results for sub-tests completed. Other sections will show with an “NA”. Total scores in the summary grid only pull from the sub-tests completed. 2. Users can now pause an assessment and return to it at a later time. This feature requires the user to enter the 4 digit PIN code to pause the test. Users can have multiple incomplete tests that can either be deleted or resumed at a later time. The test can only be paused in between sub-tests. Incomplete tests can be found in the report look-up section, and can be identified by the ‘incomplete’ icon. 3. The Bill-Pay phone dialer has been upgraded to better simulate current phone functionality. It allows the user to place a call using a green phone icon, and hang up with a red phone icon. The Bill-Pay section is now able to be skipped for users unable to successfully complete it. There is a small skip button in the upper right corner of the screen on this test. 4. Audio instructions can now be repeated for users who would like to listen to them again. Instructions can only be listened to twice. 5. The initial training video has been removed. We have greatly appreciated all the feedback that users have provided to us. Thank you! The improvements in this update represent the changes that were suggested most frequently.

  • 2.1

Fixed issue with report not correctly timing entire assessment.

  • 2.2

Fixed an issue with the grocery store recall section. If a user selected a word from the suggested word line in the keyboard, it added a space behind the word triggering that response to be reviewed by the therapist.

  • 2.3

Fix to the grocery item recall section that in rare situations gave the patient extra points for entering blank lines. If a client/patient pressed the 'next word' button in the grocery item recall section, and the therapist marked the blank entry as 'correct', the user would incorrectly be given an extra point.

  • 2.4 · 4 Apr 2026

This new version contains a new and improved method for sharing the report. Reports can now be downloaded to the files folder and shared with other apps on the iPad.
