5/5Quality of life improved - Well worth my time and money!
I have used the calm app and others similar but not gotten much value out of it. I am a fan of guided meditations but do also like the options for directed sound “free range” meditations. I decided to use the trial period to explore multiple meditation modes and really loved the different feelings invoked for healing vs creativity vs beyond the physical. I feel this is helping me break down my fear of the unknown and get in touch with the real me. This app has been worth every penny so far. My only wish is that the Monroe Institute add more guided meditations. I do mix them up and I’m at about 1 hour of meditation a day which has enhanced my quality of life significantly. As a result of this app I decided to read Robert Monroe’s books which further opened my eyes to the infinite. I cannot express my gratitude to the Institute for making this technology and methodology available without having to go to the institute itself. This is a small monetary price to pay for the peace of mind I have received from this application.

5/5Monroe fan and use this app with great results.
I have been to the Monroe Institute several times, and the experiences there are very deep, however I do really gain much benefit from the guided meditations on this app, and very often use the Focus "signals" for returning to sleep, or inner exploration of different kinds (such as patterning my future experiences, connecting with spiritual guidance and beings) I think it's well worth it for $70 a year, but because I am familiar in many ways with Monroe I am really able to appreciate it. Their courses have been invaluable for me to enjoy my life in so many ways. Now they are offered online as well. The teachers are amazing and give over 100%

I am disappointed in this app, I was hoping to like the free version enough to purchase and have access to even better meditations, but the free meditations are quite low quality and unenjoyable. Some of the free meditations don’t match the description, like “The Gift” should just be taken off the app entirely. It’s such a waste of time to think you’re getting something and you quite literally get nothing, like with that particular meditation, which describes water birds and does absolutely nothing else as it’s description says. Overall I’m disappointed in the lack of quality, especially for The Monroe Institute. Lastly, healing meditations should be free. The vast majority of theirs are not. When you think of this Universe and how love is what we aim to evolve into, forcing sick people to pay for every little thing to help increase their health since they are so desperate to heal, isn’t ethical. That doesn’t improve consciousness and evolution. There must be a balance and if there isn’t, it’s a red flag.

3/5Have they changed the app?
I’ve been using this for quite some time, and I find it useful. But I have noticed that recently the background wave form has changed. I don’t use any of the music, I just listen to the waveform using the timer at the bottom of the screen, and recently I found that the way form has changed, and after checking it seems that all of the wave forms sound the same. It’s taken on a very mechanical rhythmic pattern, that sounds dramatically different from the original patterns that I listened to in the beginning. It’s actually quite irritating and I can’t listen to it anymore. I mean, seriously, it’s outright annoying. I have found it’s the same in the way form 10, 12, 15 and on up. All of them. Has anyone else noticed this? Does the developer have any comments?

5/5what’s the purpose of a subscription?
hey, I love this app so much and currently i pay for a subscription so i have access to more songs and guided meditations, BUT, i just found out that most of the audio that is available in the subscription on this app, is available on apple music, i’m trying to word this in the most unagressive way possible, why should i continue to pay for a subscription on this app when i can just listen to this elsewhere, legally, for cheaper? and i guess in my head i feel ripped off that this is officially available somewhere else other than the app i pay for, you know?

          "body": "I have used the calm app and others similar but not gotten much value out of it. I am a fan of guided meditations but do also like the options for directed sound “free range” meditations. I decided to use the trial period to explore multiple meditation modes and really loved the different feelings invoked for healing vs creativity vs beyond the physical. I feel this is helping me break down my fear of the unknown and get in touch with the real me. This app has been worth every penny so far. My only wish is that the Monroe Institute add more guided meditations. I do mix them up and I’m at about 1 hour of meditation a day which has enhanced my quality of life significantly. As a result of this app I decided to read Robert Monroe’s books which further opened my eyes to the infinite. I cannot express my gratitude to the Institute for making this technology and methodology available without having to go to the institute itself. This is a small monetary price to pay for the peace of mind I have received from this application.",

          "body": "I have been to the Monroe Institute several times, and the experiences there are very deep, however I do really gain much benefit from the guided meditations on this app, and very often use the Focus \"signals\" for returning to sleep, or inner exploration of different kinds (such as patterning my future experiences, connecting with spiritual guidance and beings) I think it's well worth it for $70 a year, but because I am familiar in many ways with Monroe I am really able to appreciate it. Their courses have been invaluable for me to enjoy my life in so many ways. Now they are offered online as well. The teachers are amazing and give over 100%",

          "body": "I am disappointed in this app, I was hoping to like the free version enough to purchase and have access to even better meditations, but the free meditations are quite low quality and unenjoyable. Some of the free meditations don’t match the description, like “The Gift” should just be taken off the app entirely. It’s such a waste of time to think you’re getting something and you quite literally get nothing, like with that particular meditation, which describes water birds and does absolutely nothing else as it’s description says. Overall I’m disappointed in the lack of quality, especially for The Monroe Institute. Lastly, healing meditations should be free. The vast majority of theirs are not. When you think of this Universe and how love is what we aim to evolve into, forcing sick people to pay for every little thing to help increase their health since they are so desperate to heal, isn’t ethical. That doesn’t improve consciousness and evolution. There must be a balance and if there isn’t, it’s a red flag.",

          "body": "I’ve been using this for quite some time, and I find it useful. But I have noticed that recently the background wave form has changed. I don’t use any of the music, I just listen to the waveform using the timer at the bottom of the screen, and recently I found that the way form has changed, and after checking it seems that all of the wave forms sound the same. It’s taken on a very mechanical rhythmic pattern, that sounds dramatically different from the original patterns that I listened to in the beginning. It’s actually quite irritating and I can’t listen to it anymore. I mean, seriously, it’s outright annoying. I have found it’s the same in the way form 10, 12, 15 and on up. All of them. Has anyone else noticed this? Does the developer have any comments?",

          "body": "hey, I love this app so much and currently i pay for a subscription so i have access to more songs and guided meditations, BUT, i just found out that most of the audio that is available in the subscription on this app, is available on apple music, i’m trying to word this in the most unagressive way possible, why should i continue to pay for a subscription on this app when i can just listen to this elsewhere, legally, for cheaper? and i guess in my head i feel ripped off that this is officially available somewhere else other than the app i pay for, you know?",
