1. 5/5Easy and Effective!

   I hesitate to coordinate events because of the stress involved with making invitations and sending them to people's home address! Then, the thought of sending out electronic invitations to parties stresses me out even more! In my mind, I had this thought of some archaic invitation system where I had to painstakingly comb through fonts and layouts and then search out every individual person's contact information— all while being bombarded by obnoxious advertisements or enticements to upgrade to some kind of 'Pro' version. Not so with Evites! I have a gathering that I’m trying to plan and I think I made the invitation, picked the guest list and sent out every invitation (some to emails and some to cell phone numbers) ALL in about 40 minutes in my first try. The interface is easy, intuitive and graphically pleasing. It’s a great way to plan an event and I am 100% sold. THANK YOU for a great product! The only thing I would like to request is that for the Goodbye Party theme, the font of the title could be thicker and not in a color like yellow that is difficult to read on a bright blue background. Many invitations are going to those who are up in years, thus they need clear, thick font in order to see the invitation accurately. But really, all in all, this is great!

2. 5/5✨I LOVE IT✨

   So basically I am turning 13 in a few weeks, and I want a birthday party. Last year I did hand written cards, and this year I was thinking I wanted to do something more cool. So my mom and I started to research ideas and evite popped up! And I read the reviews and they looked pretty cool so me and my mom made invitations and I had sooooo much fun! They are really easy to do and I invited 20 people! There is such a great variety of good card options and there are even stickers, AND you can pick different fonts!!! And another really good thing is that you can type in email or phone number which I think is really helpful. There is only one thing, that was a little weird was that I typed in the correct Number and I triple checked and the invitation didn’t go through and the two girls that, that happened to didn’t even have like an old phone I have the 11 and they had a better one than be . But no big deal I just ended up texting the info to them. Bit other than that I loved it I think that the creators did a amazing job! Thank you!

   I like using evite as there are good options and you don’t have to make a ton of decisions. However, I cannot figure out why it can’t see all of my phone contacts. There is someone I want to invite and they are in my phone, but aren’t showing up on the phone (or evite) list of contacts. All the other random numbers show up except some of the people I want to invite. In fact, some of my contacts disappear after they had previously shown up. It feels like it is retaliatory because I didn’t upgrade to Premium. — I had initially accidentally chosen a Premium card and started adding my invite list. Then when I realized I had chosen a card I would have to pay quite a bit for I switched to a free card. When I tried to add those same people to the second card invite list they wouldn’t show up. I had to manually add in their information.

   It’s been a couple of years since I entertained and needed to send an invitation and in that time, the app lost helpful functions and is clunky to navigate with large amounts of screen used for nothing. A previous reviewer noted the functionality across platforms should be the same and it’s vastly different. Ex: I couldn’t change guest options in the app to show adults vs kids after the invite was created. And when I tried to log into the website from a mobile browser it repeatedly opened the app. I wanted to view the desktop version of evite so I could make the change since the app didn’t offer the function I needed. Additionally, on the app I used to be able to see when guests opened the invite - now it tells me someone opened the invite “yesterday” but I only sent the invite today-! Lastly, the app is clearly so commercialized now that it’s distracting - each time I went in to update a draft, I was given a barrage of ads - “you’ve earned $40 for wine club this and meal prep kits that” - it’s just not what I came here to do. I miss the days of simpler screens with more functionality and a more seamless mobile to desktop experience.

5. 1/5Do Not Recommend

   Lots of issues and no help menu on the app. Had to manually enter all my contacts. Several friends also dislike this App but admit they continue to use it because typing in all your contacts one by one is such a pain they continue to deal with all the issues in this App. Not intuitive. I discovered features after I sent my invite because people who used it before told me. Wouldn’t have found them otherwise through use of the App. Even though I was the host and even though I RSVP’d it wouldn’t let me send a message or reminder because I “need to RSVP to send a message”. This is a common problem I discovered by googling for help as there is no help menu. Search results recommended I sign out and back in to fix that issue. Once I signed out, I was never able to sign back in and still can’t. Same error message without any help on how to resolve. I would only recommend this App if you think it would be fun to get locked out the week of your event. Thankfully, the party of 45 people was successful despite this app.
