Enduring Word Commentary

The 2.4.6 release corrects issues found when attempting to increase or decrease the text size on the "Aa" Commentary settings menu. All devices now have access to larger text sizes. Rotating between landscape and portrait mode no longer causes the Commentary to reset to the beginning of the current chapter. The text adjustment menu on the Commentary screen works in landscape mode.

This release fixes an issue where users where not able to open the Commentary tab after completing a first time installation.

The 2.4.8 release enhances "Give us your feedback" on the Home screen and "Contact Technical Support" on the More screen. If the EW app is not able to use the default email app on your device it opens the device web browser and goes to the "Contact Enduring Word" page on the EW website

This is a prototype of the next feature release. It focuses on improving navigation. Note two new buttons at the top on commentary screen. They move forward and backward at the verse level. The bookmarks save at verse level as welll the text next to the book mark is interanal data that will be the verse range later. Note the blue letter Bible links. Bug fixes and stability. Fixes crash when scrolling through certain chapters.

This release contains CRITICAL fixes for unexpected behaviors including system restart while navigating through certain chapters. Everyone should update.

Fixed one more issue that prevented users from getting customer support using the CONTACT APP SUPPORT. Made a change to the Donate link so that it opened in Safari. This helps the app meet App Store business requirements.

This is a stability and usability update. A tutorial video, showing the app features, is accessed on the Home screen. The navigation skip button's sensitivity on the Commentary screen adjusted to avoid accidental chapter or verse skip while scrolling. New settings that enable or disable Commentary navigation features added to the More/Application Settings screen. This release fixes a system error on the More/System Settings (renamed in this release to Application Settings). The application state information provided in CONTACT APP SUPPORT and on the Application Settings screen updated to correct errors and display new features being used. Enhancements to properly display text when the user has the Accessibility Large-Text feature enabled in their system settings.

Updated Home Screen - Getting Started. Added two buttons that directly open the Commentary screen: one in English and one in Spanish. Update a small number of stability and formatting issues.

This release features Offline mode and a new full English or Spanish interface. Offline allows you to download the entire commentary in English and/or Spanish so that you can study even when you do not have access to the Internet. When you select Spanish for the Commentary, the application interface also changes to Spanish. We have made changes that will allow Parental Controls on child's device to restrict access to the internet from the Enduring Word App.

Critical bug fix for situations where bookmarks and book/chapter select were causing an application crash.

Critical bug fix release to fix a problem where Spanish speaking users are not be able to access chapters 1-99 of Psalms/Salmos. In certain circumstances the English version of these chapters will also be unavailable. The app could become unresponsive depending on actions taken by the user to resolve the error.

Bug fix release - Fixes issues found in previous releases and improves usability of Advanced Settings menu. Some issues required an application reset or reinstall to allow the commentary to load. This upgrade is recommended for all 2.6 users.

This release contains fixes for times when the app would crash while accessing bookmarks. I also addresses issues during upgrading from a previous version which resulted in the commentary becoming unresponsive to button presses. When selecting a new book and chapter the selector screen opens to the current book instead of Genesis. Some changes were made that will improve performances of some devices.

This is a major stability release. Improvements have made in the handling of Bookmarks after upgrade that led to the app crashing. We also included changes that address random freezing or crashing of the app when changing to a new book or chapter. Small user interface changes add consistent handling of Accessibility font settings and app internal font settings. The Advanced Settings screen on the Commentary Settings menu has been fixed so that the checkbox status correctly reflects your choices.

Critical fix to enable fixes to Bookmark feature.

EW Commentary app has a new look and is presented in five new languages: Portuguese, Chinese, Russian, Italian, German in addition to the previous English and Spanish.

2.7.1 first update to the 2.7 release. This update fixes iterations between the app and the Accessibility/Large Text feature of IOS. Users of the Large Text feature will not be required to modify their settings before using the Enduring Word App. The 2.7 version introduced 5 new languages which expand the availability of this great Commentary to a much larger number of people.

Minor Fix Release. Language Selection and privacy notice appear only on first time the app is opened. App returns to last location after returning from other apps. Some updates to Spanish translations features on the MORE screen.
