   Great app, a necessary part of the ear training regimen for anyone looking to improve. Love the melodic dictation it's why I wanted more than Tenuto which only has intervals. Couple things for the devs: the app sometimes plays a tone for way longer than intended. Happens frequently to me and it's an annoying glitch. The melodic dictation requires you to input the notes on a keyboard which requires a proficiency not all musicians have myself included. Optimally there would be options for intervalic input eg. up p4 down m3 as well as a guitar fretboard if the touch screen doesn't make it too difficult. Another option should be entering the notes directly eg. A# C F. It's obviously good to know your way around a keyboard but if I'm training my ears I want my brain power to focus only on that. Another is that the bass notes are too loud in the chord identification. Maybe there's an option to change this if not please add one, here Tenuto has you beat. This is a fantastic app that you could definitely justify charging for I'd gladly fork over money for this. I only gripe because it's fantastic and needs a few little touches to be perfect. 2. 3/5Good for training, but very annoying

   This app has a lot of great exercises, but it’s very annoying. Its constantly asking me to login, and after I finally capitulated and made an account I had no interest in, now its spamming me to invite my friends. Why, I really must wonder, does it care who I invite. I’m forced to conclude that its harvesting email addresses to sell. This must be the price of “free”. I would rather pay $5 then be nagged as much as this app nags. Aside from that, it’s good at what it does. My only complaint is that the criteria for graduating a goal is too easy. Especially for interval identification. You only need to get 9 of 10 right to complete a goal, and it’s pretty easy to get there if you get lucky, even without having mastered the intervals being tested. In fact, the tests get probabilistically easier as you go, not harder. Simple example: you start the first test knowing nothing. Then you master Unison vs Major Third, now you’re on to the next test which add Perfect Fifth. It’s going to ask a mix of questions, some of which include material you’ve already mastered, so it’s not even testing the newest material. Fast forward a few more tests and now it’s asking you about 5 intervals and you already know 4 of them. In 10 questions, you have a 10% chance of never even getting tested on the new interval. Compare that to the start when you knew nothing, then every question was a relevant test.

   I played music when I was young, but haven’t really been heavily involved as an adult. I started taking singing lessons, and I thought that refreshing some of my pitch training would be helpful. The goal based interval identification, with exactly what I was looking for. it adds new intervals and complexity, and a pace that doesn’t rush you to the point where you’re getting things wrong in a demoralizing way, but does push you. I’ve been using the program for about a week and my singing instructor has already noticed a difference. I also sampled some of the other functionalities and found them to be similarly well paced. I haven’t used them enough to be able to truly comment.

4. 3/5Wrong Chord Names - decent app

   Under the Practice section -> Chord Identification -> Advanced Seventh Chords— we have the following chord names: German, Till, Swiss, Tristan, French. These are all used incorrectly, except French. “Tristan” is a colloquialism, not an official term, but the chord is definitely not the Tristan chord, it’s just a minor 6 chord voiced in root position. “Till” is not a real term used by anybody. German and French are real terms used to described Augmented 6th chords but on the app the “German” is a V43 or otherwise a Dominant 7th chord in 3rd inversion, and the French is correctly used. The “Till” chord is a half diminished 7th in 2nd inversion. The Tristan chord is of course supposed to be a weirdly misspelled half diminished 7th chord with the third thrown up the octave, but this is not the case in the app. Don’t know who decided to write these names in but they’re all wrong, please fix that. There’s also a glitch where some buttons in the practice selection don’t work sometimes.

   It’s a great app, for what it is, has lots to offer over other apps. Yet. The piano and guitar sound samples are just so horrible. They sound like they came from a RadioShack kids keyboard, literally. I love they have chord precession quizzes and all that but you’re almost tone deaf and just regular deaf after just a few iterations of hearing those chords played together. The whine and screech is ridiculous. If you guys would get better sounds this would be a 5 star app hands down. It is rather silly this app is all about sound and the sound is your biggest issue- having not even mention that the sound cuts out a lot and nots get stuck and ring for a long annoying time every once in a while. I bet if you upgrade your stuff and fix these sound issues- you’ll get so many more downloads from recommendations. Almost sure you’d be number 1 in this field.
