   Update: I kept the 5 stars. BUT, PLEASE READ THIS! I turned on the overdraft protection shield and without my knowledge it tipped the app automatically which is supposed to be optional. I no longer use this feature because that felt like a violation of my trust when I was already giving tips I felt was fair. Ever since then the good faith tipping from me is $0 every time because you already extracted bad faith “tips” from me without my approval and until I’m in a position where it doesn’t negatively affect my life this app gets a $0 tip every single time now. I hope that few weeks of blind tips was worth me never tipping again, guys. I hope you hear this feedback because as nice as this service feels…It’s also dangerous to get into this cycle of living beyond your means. I can draw $1000 from my next paycheck and it’s dangerous to have your next paycheck instantly depleted and then you have to keep using it to not run out of money. Used correctly it’s a powerful tool. I wish you hadn’t applied the auto tips with the shield and broken my trust, because I’d still be tipping. I use this app every other day when I’m worried I’ll bust my account. I used it to buy a new graphics card and create income for myself so I’m thankful. It works and the longer you use it the more they allow you to withdraw per pay period. Just be careful of what I mentioned above. Use it to pay off your credit cards and focus on saving money and not spending on anything unnecessary just because you can.

   I've have the app since 2021 ish and used it pretty often until this year. And honestly, Earnin has saved me so much in overdraft fees during that time. The app is pretty simple - you just create your account, and provide some info about your pay period and pay amount. Then, the app tracks how much you're making, then you can 'withdrawal' from that, up to a certain pay period amount (I.e. $750 per pay period). there is also a daily withdrawal limit. The limits adjust automatically, so when I stated using the app, my daily withdrawal limit was I think $100. Now it's $150. When you withdrawal, you can chose to do a direct deposit and you can select the free withdrawal for that full amount. There is no required fee or tip! The free option says the money deposits in 1-5 days, but honestly my bank always accepted it same day. This is borrowed money, so on your payday, whatever you have withdrawn + any fees/tips you selected will be charged to your bank account. So if you withdrawl $100 for 3 days, no tip or fee used, on your payday, the app will charge to your bank account the $300. So, this app is not a cure for bad spending or tough financial situation. It is however an absolute life saver when your account is low, you have some small emergency, or you need cash before you get paid. I'd recommend this app for anyone! But keep in mind, it does take some time to setup your account, and you will have to verify your employment. it is NOT free money. It is a very short term no-interest loan. But it is an absolute life saver.

   I’m writing this review to extend my eternal gratitude. I had managed to get into a bad patch of my life where I was nearly going to lose my job and my home. I had been plagued with bad habits and some addictions, which I suspect transpired from the great pressure in my leadership position. I know, that seems a bit ironic, but it can easily happen to anyone that is going above and beyond at the job. I forgot about myself in the process. I knew I needed to do something about it quickly. I ceased all at once and went through lots of pain in the coming days. With that said, I knew that wouldn’t be enough to climb my way out of the financial hole quickly enough to stay living here. In my desperate search for answers, I stumbled upon this app. All I needed was about $400 to make the difference and break even. I prayed for this daily and I was blessed. Though it stated I would only be able to withdrawal $100 to start from the first pay period, it was much to my surprise that I had been granted the option of taking out up to $400, the exact amount I needed. All I have to say is keep up the great work with continuing to provide this option for those struggling. And I hope others can also triumph from their shortcomings. It’s certainty not easy, but this app makes it easier. This app saved me from going homeless and that is a miracle. Thank you so much for being awesome and providing the public a great service.

   I heard about Earnin through a commercial. I’ve been using Earnin for 3 plus years without any issues on their end. The premise is simple. You borrow up to $100 at once and pay it back come payday plus a tip which you get to decide on the amount. I thought all of this sounded too good to be true. A place that loans you money and you get to decide how much money to pay them on top of what you borrowed!!!! Well, it works exactly how they advertise. You can borrow up to $100 a day. You have a maximum you can borrow per pay period. So, you can never borrow even close to what you earn. The cost of borrowing money is a tip. That tip can be as little as nothing or more per transaction. You can activate what they call balance shield. So anytime your bank account falls below $100 they automatically deposit $100. Earnin also has a few other programs. I participate in their “Tip Jar”. It’s a savings account. You set up how much you want to go into your tip jar each payday. You receive an email before that amount is debited in case you want to cancel the transaction. If you want to withdraw the money in the tip jar you just tell them and your money is deposited into your bank account the next day. Another service they offer allowes your paycheck to be direct deposited to an account. I haven’t used this service. So, I have no idea if it works well. No company is perfect, but Earnin strives to gain your business and keep it. No company out there compares to Earnin. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

   This is too good to be true you might wonder, like I did, so when they asked for my bank information and were verifying it by adding a dollar then subtracting it I thought I just fooled myself. I waited it out because I had no other choice, and thank goodness I did. Because this app literally fed me when I was going through serious hardship and they helped me pay off my overdue credit card on time by just allowing me to get the money already earned at work. Even through this Pandemic, they’re still operating and doing the best they can. This was my only issue: my bank is a credit union, so direct deposit hit a day early but always in the afternoon, so Earnin deducted the money I borrowed that morning as they should, making my account negative and incurring overdraft fees. I thought this was part of the “catch”. I contacted their support team late at night (I think around 11 or 12) because I commute 2 hours and a half to and from work (each way. Yeah, I was really going through it that year) and told them Earnin pulled too early in the day. They asked me to screenshot the overdraft fees for a refund, which happened right then and there and allowed me to quickly get groceries before the train came. All in all, if you’re really going through financial hardship, please trust on me that this is the perfect app. I’m writing This because I’m having one of those “I’m grateful for this “ moments.
