# What's New in 2025.7.1 We're back with two new features for you this month: - Smarter, Faster Search — We’ve made search quicker and easier to use, adding auto-complete to speed up searches. Also, we've built our own text replacement for Bible book names (no more needing to spell 1 Thessalonians!), and introduced a Top 10 Searches list right on the Search screen for quick access. - Listen to Dwell Kids Content with Yoto — This is a DIY-style integration: parents can create their own Yoto cards from select Dwell Kids content, like the Dwell Kids Daily, giving parents access to biblically enriching audio—screen-free.

#Offline Listening: Now Smarter and More Seamless We’ve made a number of improvements to make offline listening more intuitive and reliable. Whether you’re offline or just dealing with spotty service on your commute, Dwell now handles downloads more consistently and intelligently. Here’s what’s new: - Playing your downloads or adding them to your queue will always play the downloaded version—whether you’re online or offline. - You’ll get a clear warning if you’re offline or if a change in your preferences will cause Dwell to stream audio instead of playing from downloads. - You’ll now see clearer alerts when interacting with the app while offline—whether you’re trying to change music, preview audio, download content, or load something unavailable. - The player now shows a download icon next to any downloaded track. - Downloads now include more detail, like voice(s), translation(s), and scripture transitions. - In Read mode, scrolling up or down will now move to the next or previous Scripture Book (not just “See all…”). #Bible Tab Improvements + More Fixes We’ve also made a few updates outside of Offline Listening: - The Bible tab header has been redesigned to support a more traditional audiobook-style experience, with a clear Play/Resume button right at the top. With Alexa, you can: - Open Dwell using simple voice commands - Play Scripture, listening plans, and devotionals - Listen while cooking, cleaning, or moving through your day We're rolling this out in stages, so if you see an Alexa announcement inside the app, you're good to go—enable the Dwell Alexa skill and start listening. # Manually Reorder Items in Up Next You now have complete control over your items in Up Next. Tapping the ellipsis icon on the home screen will allow you to reorder. Simply drag and drop plans, devotionals, and other content into the order you’d like to experience them. It’s the easiest way to tailor Dwell to your daily rhythm. Tap the new Selah button on the player to pause the narration while your background music continues, creating a natural space to reflect, pray, or simply be still—without breaking the moment. # Repeat to Memorize We’ve added the Repeat button directly to the player, so you can loop any passage with a single tap and let God’s Word sink in. # Sort Your Playlists You can now sort your custom playlists by Recently Created, Recently Updated, or Title, giving you even more ways to organize and personalize your listening experience. In the coming days, you’ll be able to enjoy Dwell’s background music on its own—no Scripture reading required. With more than 8 albums of music, plus immersive soundscapes, and nature sounds, Dwell will be ready for your next study session, workday, workout, or quiet moment. Keep an eye out. We’ll be turning it on soon. And here’s a little secret… This is only the beginning. We’re already working on even more music—both new background tracks for your Scripture listening and albums designed to be enjoyed on their own. Also in this update: – New Play All and Download All buttons in Up Next on the Home screen. – Queue repeat mode is now labeled “Queue” in the player. – Large content cards now support horizontal swiping on app pages. – Added a Show Queue action to the player’s ••• menu. – After adding something to your queue, you can now tap View in the confirmation message to jump straight to it. – Improved accessibility for the Queue, Track Picker, and Scripture Picker.
