   I’ve had this app for a couple of months now. It has all the basic features you would need, excepts lacks greatly in more dynamic writing (gocks, an actual well-sounding ping, crescendos, etc). The worst part of this app would be its saving option. If you so happen to even accidentally press the “back to menu” button (which is quite easy to press), all of your work is immediately erased and you cannot get it back. There is no prompt asking if you would like to save first. It also has some useless features like “ornament density”. It serves its purpose, but the design in creating the app is just horrid. Additionally, options are in white font on a white background, so have fun trying to change your 4/4 measure without trying to understand the invisible dials.

   I’ve only been using this app for about 20 minutes but this is miles ahead of other composing apps I have used for drums. I’m so glad that I can write something and then save the score to a file for free. This app is really going to help my drumline opposed to handwritten sheets of music.

3. 4/5Really good for writing

   The app is good for bringing ideas in mind to life, but I think the app would be better if you considered these things. 1. Dynamics I think the drumline features and cadences would be much more interesting if we had dynamics. So I think maybe you could add forte or piano, etc. 2. Cymbals should sizzle The drums can already buzz roll, so I think the cymbals should have an option to sizzle. The buzz roll and the sizzle would sound good together. 3. All the drums should have rim shots The marching snare’s ping sound is the rim shot for the marching snare, but the marching tenor and bass drums can’t do a rim shot. I think all the drums should be able to do rim shot, then it sounds weird when only the snare is doing a rim shot. 4. Weird glitch when adding notes. Sometimes when I add a notes into a measure, sometimes it automatically gives that note an accent, diddle, buzz roll, or a flam. And sometimes when it gives the note a buzz roll I cannot get it off. 5. Dark mode problems Sometimes when I have the phone on dark mode, the font of the options camouflages in. I have to take my phone out of dark mode to get it work. The app still works, you just can’t exactly get the same quality in dark mode. I think the app would be better if did these things.

   The app is great and I’ve made a song already but the only few things I don’t like is how hard it is to find out how to do things and the tutorial is. I still don’t know how to do accents lol. But amazing app and the sounds are almost spot on. Also please add a rum shot for snare

5. 3/5This app is one of the better ones but is unstable.

   I definitely think this is one of the greatest composition apps available and I really enjoy building drum line cadences on it. So, why is it three stars? - The main issue is I can save the cadences but the app crashes every time I try to reopen it. It also has an unintuitive interface that makes it frustrating to navigate. I also, can’t seem to locate any function that allows me to save mp3 files of the cadences. Another limiting factor is the 32 bar limit. It’s not a huge deal as one could create and save their composition in multiple parts but it’d be nice if there was the ability to go 50 to 100 measures. This app is fantastic and a great composition/practice tool (especially for students on drum line) but needs a partial stability overhaul. - Thanks -
