5/5Oh my goodness!
Buy this app! If I could, I would buy it twice, just to throw more money at the devs. If you need a drum machine for your music production, this is it! You can tweak every single instrument/drum into depth with resonator, wave and filter options. You can use a sequencer to create your own pattern, randomize each instrument, change velocity, probability... You can load a preset, then use a randomizer button to keep the pattern but change the settings for the instruments. Basically, you can do almost anything you could need to. Plus the color coded design and looks are amazing. Use this as an AU Extension or a standalone production app. Just use it... trust me.

5/5THE RABBIT HOLE IS DEEP AND WIDE WITH THIS ONE
That being said, it’s got the best of both FM drum sounds and the ability to load your own samples, which can also be tweaked to perfection and/or destruction. In terms of drawbacks I haven’t really had any, but I suppose you might depending on how you use it. Throwing a bunch of AU instances up unto AUM with other midi friends can be help you waste hours and hours without ever becoming bored or convinced you’ve heard it all (because you haven’t). I suppose improvements could be made, but I you’ll have your hands full as is.

5/5SALE PRICE NOT SHOWING UP
Love it!!! -but sale price is not showing up when trying to upgrade - This app is one of my favorite drum/groove apps and SugarBytes apps across the board have been go-to and unique like no others for as long as I can remember. However, right now any help sorting out sale price glitch in app store to upgrade to full version would be amazing. The app in the description says that there is a sale right now for the upgrade to the full version but when I go to purchase it I am prompted to pay the full price. Can you please help get this sorted?

5/5Impressive
Absolutely one of the best drum machines I have ever used. And for what it’s worth I’ve been professionally using drum machines since 1984. Pushes the boundaries on what is possible with computer generated rhythm-making. Initially I found the sound I was getting out of it a bit too harsh for my style of music-making, but it’s is so well conceived that me and DC began to influence one another over the course of a year—I’ve changed aspects my sound and ways of working for the better because of it. Bravo Sugar Bytes.

5/5Excellent sound, versatile sequencer, best I’ve used
This is the first review I’ve ever felt compelled to write. This is the most inspiring app I’ve gotten for iPad. The sound quality is excellent for synthesis, and the sequencer has SO many useful features. It can really be your all in one if you load some samples, too. I had a Roland TR-8S. This sounds better, is more intuitive, has a more inspiring and useful sequencer, and costs a lot less. Without question this is the best drum synthesizer and sequencer for iOS.
