  1. 5/5Impressive

Absolutely one of the best drum machines I have ever used. And for what it’s worth I’ve been professionally using drum machines since 1984. Pushes the boundaries on what is possible with computer generated rhythm-making. Initially I found the sound I was getting out of it a bit too harsh for my style of music-making, but it’s is so well conceived that me and DC began to influence one another over the course of a year—I’ve changed aspects my sound and ways of working for the better because of it. Bravo Sugar Bytes.

  2. 5/5I am in love with the Drum Computer

I have never encountered such a full featured awesome drum machine in my life. This thing is absolutely the G.O.A.T. The limitations are right at the Goldilocks perfect balance of creatively useful limitations with abundant creatively useful features. The individual track synth editors for each drum have a real Mooglike quality feel to them. It almost feels like having Diva attached to a hugely souped up Drumbrute Impact, all with a brilliantly gorgeous and friendly UI.

  3. 4/5Sounds good, but CPU HOG.

I get a lot of crackling just running by itself. I also own the Mac version and it is great, but this version not so much. Hopefully they fix the performance issues. Price is kinda high too considering you will be a beta tester until they work the bugs out. No introduction price? I just want to add that I do love Sugar Bytes and all of there work. They’re awesome. I do own all there Mac plugins and they are in a league of there own. Top Notch no doubt. For reference I am using a iPad Air 2-iOS 13.7 with plenty of free space and no other apps open on a fresh restart.

  4. 4/5Gorgeous GUI, Clever, Powerful Synthesis

This is a very deep and complex app and they’ve done an amazing job of providing a logical, nice-looking layout. The feature-set and sounds are amazing. Because controls are so tightly spaced, it can be difficult to use. For example, there are per-step sliders that give you incredible control over your sequence! Each slider is very short (1.5 cm), and difficult to control. If you are trying to move it slightly, it wants to center automatically. It shows the value as you adjust, but your finger blocks the value as you move. The chain function only has 16 non-repeating slots- which is an unfortunate limitation. If you are clever, you can make longer sequences using slower tempos and faster step rates. The way Sugar-Bytes provides randomize functions throughout the app is fantastic and may set a new standard! Editing is a bit fiddly with tiny hard to read/use controls, but overall, it’s a very fun and powerful app.

  5. 5/5SALE PRICE NOT SHOWING UP

Love it!!! -but sale price is not showing up when trying to upgrade - This app is one of my favorite drum/groove apps and SugarBytes apps across the board have been go-to and unique like no others for as long as I can remember. However, right now any help sorting out sale price glitch in app store to upgrade to full version would be amazing. The app in the description says that there is a sale right now for the upgrade to the full version but when I go to purchase it I am prompted to pay the full price. Can you please help get this sorted?
