1. 4/5After install issues am now up and running.

   Tried to onboard to the lifetime subscription promo with AppAdvice but the app stalled during the initial setup verifying the phone number. I couldn’t even get it to the main screen. The Dropcall team worked with me to get past the problem and I am now up and running. I will update once I’ve had a chance to actually use the app.

   Honestly, the only reason I still have this app on my phone is that I forgot to cancel before the trial ended. I would never have deliberately chosen this service or paid this much, especially after the headache I’ve had trying to restore my purchases. After upgrading my phone, my so-called pro access essentially disappeared. I repeatedly contacted support about the restore purchase issues, but it quickly became clear that they either don’t know how to help or don’t care. Instead of feeling like a valued customer, I felt like a glitch. They prefer to ignore my $90 subscription, which still shows as active in my Apple account, and refuse to recognize it on my phone. Why should I pay for a premium version that the app won’t even acknowledge? Reaching out for support is its own exercise, and having an AI assistant that feels half-baked, makes generic replies, and offers no real solutions or accountability is frustrating. It’s a waste of time and money, and based on my experience, that $90 would be better spent elsewhere. My purchase should transfer seamlessly across devices, but until they can handle something as basic as that, I won’t trust them with another dollar.

3. 1/5Premature Release

   As others have mentioned, I heard about a lifetime subscription from App Advice. At first the call feature worked fine, but when the latest incoming feature was released, all of a sudden there’s a pay wall?! OK, so I pay for a week’s trial since there was no other way to test it only to find there’s nothing to it! No change, no update or documentation, won’t even let me use it at all. Wrote the Developer asking what’s up only to get a, ‘sorry we’re overwhelmed,” but no talk about a refund? Really don’t like being tricked and then used as a beta tester without being told. Until things get better, you might want to save your money rather than wasting it.

   I initially signed up for the annual Pro plan and was able to access the app and its features without issue. However, just a few days later, I was locked out and unable to restore my purchase, the app kept prompting me to subscribe again. It appears the developers made changes following a surge in new users, including removing the annual plan, which may have introduced bugs or instability. It feels like these updates were rolled out too quickly without thorough testing, leading to a frustrating experience for paying users.

   This app is an efficient and effective way to leave a voicemail for a person without the need to pick up the phone. So, if you need to have someone perform a task and you don’t want the message sent via text, this app is a great tool for accomplishing the task for you.
