   Since UPDATE 236.2, which was over 8 months ago; the DESCRIPTION for every “UPDATE” posted for this app for “what’s new” is the EXACT SAME THING. So, a copy paste reused list of things that are updated each time in list 8 months….. So, it hasn’t been fixed yet? That says a lot abo7t the Devs helping to fix this app and consuming our batteries…..they need to be replaced especially if haven’t TRULY BEEN FIXED IN OVER 8 MONTHS. SMH! NOW, IF issues are resolved, say so and remove from current updates, otherwise, makes the updates pushing to us and the company, imo, look terrible and incompetent…..sorry, I am. Also what shows to be true; not a single soul can be bothered to actually take time and write a “current updated” update to This App’s Update Log/Description w/ actual truth. Last, getting t(e same response back for every comment/etc….again, shows lack of thought and CS to loyal ppl who use said App. We take time to write stuff, but get same reply, & also…IMO, a review is also the same thing as telling support “issues/bug issues/etc” of what’s wr9ng/haooen8ng w/ app being UX/UI/GUI/OS/Etc and telling ppl to reach out thru app or website to tell SUPPORT “issues” is kinda crappy, and so know everyone does this, b8t be different. The Mod reading/watching these reviews can forward to Tech support & appropriate tier 1, 2, 3 tech CS Level needed…..as would be easier imo. Thx thoigh for an app that in essence is good, been using for long long time, no for most part has been great experience and continue to still use daily. My really only issue (after all the changes, some good, some bad….& ppl do hate change, lol) is the wretched BATTERY LIFE that’s being drained; besides that, and App tier system for use (payment subscriptions etc), I’m happy w/ app. Thx

2. 3/5Does not work reliably with Mobile Excel, Word or M365+Copilot

   Multiple serious file editing and deletion problems editing and accessing Dropbox files from Mobile Excel-Word: 1. My files kept getting sync conflicts - (file is open by another user even when there are no other users and the file is not open on any other device). This occurs after the file is open for several seconds to minutes without any editing, despite no change loss of Internet access. It is VERY time consuming to reconcile changes 2. Excel was creating with the suffix (1) or (2) duplicates and deleting these files with suffix causes the original file to be deleted from Dropbox. 3. Any Dropbox files became inaccessible on the MS recent list requiring to re-Add Dropbox from the Excel File->Open->Add storage account dialogue. 4. From mobile Dropbox app i would get “preview not available”. So far there’s less conflicts using M365+Copilot (which uses the Apples file app to access Dropbox files) than Excel. 5. When opening a Dropbox file on Mobile excel and getting the message “File is in use by another user, discard or save changes”, Excel hands if I pick either option. The same thing does not occur on the Mac version. After hours on the phone with Dropbox and Microsoft, Microsoft claimed add-ins (including Dropbox integration) to mobile apps like Excel are not “fully supported” even with their MS OneDrive files (where there are less frequent file corruptions). Dropbox support keeps asking me to delete cache, reinstall Dropbox and other steps which have no effect.

   for the life of me, I cannot find a place to reach support from the app itself. I was going to forward a picture and I swear it should be like the most basic feature to forward a photo and all I can do is send a link. I don’t want to send a link. I want to send the actual photo. But that’s beside the point. I’m not even sure what the home screen is supposed to do at this point anymore. huge blocks of screen real estate are dedicated to app feature promotions. I’m appreciative but now that I’ve seen the feature let me reclaim the home page. It feels like it’s more for you than it is for me as the user. I’m trying to get to the point: there’s an issue. Select recents. Select a folder. It doesn’t open the folder. Let me select it but not open. Sure I see new notification that back ups are in a new location. I have no idea where but apparently they have a new location. I can’t get to that location but selecting the new location link. But to return to the point of the pain: the app is getting in the way of me using my files. I just want it to be a tool that lets me access my stuff without me having to realize that I’m using the tool itself. Like a hammer to drive a nail in order to hang a picture. Now I’m having to really notice the hammer. And please stop pestering me about cookies. Do you not have enough of my information and behavior already? Oh another thing you have a advertisement in the app that says it works better on the app. I’m already in the app. Had such high hopes for DB to remain a cool company not another bourgeois enterprise I resent supporting. Feels like investor focused rather than customer experience focused.

   I use Dropbox to store all my files I do not want to loose. I have photos, genealogy, health files, expenses, receipts, contracts, and so much more. Unfortunately, I find myself fighting with the program all the time. When upgrades are made, I find there is a glitch of some sort. Once I was notified I needed to backup my files. In the process of doing this, I lost them all. 3 years worth of data! There were no directions for backing up. There was no access on how to recover from old backups anywhere. These things should be clearly outlined in a manual, if there is one. The other thing I hate is that if you transfer files in or out of Dropbox, you have to do it one file at a time. You can’t transfer multiple files or a folder of files to Dropbox. Also you can no longer get to things like print or move a file to editing program (Word) without first clicking on “share” to find those options. Why the need to double click for these options? Other options are available with a single click but I don’t use those things. Ok, I have more but will stop now. I do like the program and still use it. Not so much on my phone due to the above complaints. Just wanted to let others know what life is like using the program.

5. 3/5Let’s try again!

   First of all, I am blind, but very good with computers. At least I thought I was. I’m not trying to get sympathy. I’m just frustrated with all of this. I’m I am so frustrated with Dropbox. I’m gonna try to get my stuff out and do something out to back my files up. I had to upgrade professional so I can try to speak to somebody but again they said you can’t talk to nobody until you get enterprise. They added security to my dropbox that I didn’t ask for. I should be the one to adjust the security on my own folder I pay enough for it. Now I get a two-step verification on the phone that never existed and an email that is inaccessible and I can’t get nobody at Dropbox to help. I have 3 TB of information that I have saved up over 30 years and now I can’t access it so I’m trying to go through back doors. And I’m so upset with Dropbox I’ve done feedback, tickets and everything dropbox. You can go stick it. I’m so fed up with you. This is not a way to run a company. it appears I’m not the only one that feels this way. I’ve been to several message boards to try to find help to get my stuff back but I can’t so I guess I’ll just wipe the sleep clean and go somewhere else and just live on an island. Thanks a lot Dropbox.

   if you're inactive for a certain amount of time they completely delete your entire account... and everything on it... .. for me it was all 5 of my accounts.. with ALL of my kids' pictures! can we say devastated 💔 😢 I was homeless and thought my memories were safe... it was a very short time that I was inactive...6 months or something. I used to love Dropbox, recommended them to everyone. yeah not anymore... so ridiculous .. and to boot, no help whatsoever.. they were just "sorry tht sux"

   yeah I canceled this app and me still charge me 5/31/26 so I've been going back and forth over this since April I would just much rather have the year subscription forget about trying to give me back my $119.00 check all my emails rather have the service for a year and go back and forth yeah I still say you guys are bogus you guys still haven't returned me anything and I'm constantly paying for Dropbox and I don't know how you guys can do that when I canceled

   I used to be able to sort my folders by name and have the contents of the folders sorted by date modified but for some reason they have removed this option and now I can only have it so everything is sorted one way meaning I now have to keep changing it all the time. so much for improvement updates
