5/5Why walk when you can procrastinate?
This is the second city I explore with electric scooters. In France I used it to explore as well as to trace between connect from hotel and my job site. The scooters are so efficient and so much fun. You can get back time for a fraction of the cost of other means of transportation. The best part is that this is one of the few fast vehicles you can literally take door to door. I highly recommend them. Not just this brand.

1/5Poor support, broken interface
The dott app recently replaced another e-scooter service (TIER) in my city. It is a step backwards. The biggest problem with dott is their awful support. A scooter broke down on me while riding. This happens from time to time and is unavoidable if you ride often, as other people don't always treat them with much care. In such cases, getting a refund was straightforward in the TIER app. Unfortunately, dott makes this process as difficult as possible. The only support option is a chat bot within their app. You diligently answer its questions and at some point it either stops responding (yes, ghosted by a chat bot) or it promises to connect you with a real support agent, which never actually happens. This issue is compounded by problems in the main interface of the app. For example, a button with a chat icon (for support!?) overlaps with the "scan to ride" button. As a result, the chat icon can not be pressed at all. To be fair, you can also find the support chat via the menu under "Help & legal", but there it is certainly less prominent. The combination almost makes me suspect that these are deliberate design choices. Perhaps they want to discourage users from requesting refunds. It certainly worked on me. Needless to say, this whole process does not inspire confidence. I wonder what would happen if you needed to contact them after a more serious problem, like an accident or to sort out an insurance claim.

This bikes are the best in town of Paris it’s amazing when you spend just 2 dollars more and you avoided so much headache with the company called velib this company have the worse bike service in the world I have been renting with them and the past 5 rides the bikes have such bad maintenance you couldn’t imagine. So do you really want make your money worth it chose Dott

2/5The bikes will shut off for no reason
I’ve rented multiple times and you never know when the bike will simply turn itself off. They have a ‘feature’ which disables the bike for a host reasons but the rider has no idea when or why it might happen. The bike will basically be unridable from one moment to the next. I’m sure they will have legal problems about this because it’s a huge safety issue and simply not providing the service promised. If the bikes would simply work as promised and not turn off arbitrarily it would be a good service.

5/5Easy to use, fun, good price
What more is there to say? It was easy to download the app, use Apple Pay, then set up an account and ride. Berlin is a safe city to ride in. It’s cheaper than a taxi, almost as fast, and way more fun. And while I use the U-Bahn for anything over 10-15 mins, I’ll use this for shorter distances.

okay scooter. okay UI. GPS on scooters are terrible though. I spend lots of time looking for it than any other competitor scooter. sometimes it would be on the right side of the road but show left side on the app. Today I couldn't even find the scooter.

I would like to escalate this case and submit a formal complaint. I received a notification from Dott offering me the opportunity to reactivate my 30-minute Wolt+ Pass. I followed the instructions and activated the offer. However, I was subsequently charged almost PLN 10 for my ride. Your support team claims that my pass had expired on September 14, but this does not explain why Dott subsequently sent me a notification encouraging me to reactivate it.

The scooters are so efficient and so much fun. You can get back time for a fraction of the cost of other means of transportation. The best part is that this is one of the few fast vehicles you can literally take door to door. I highly recommend them. Not just this brand.",

          "body": "The dott app recently replaced another e-scooter service (TIER) in my city. It is a step backwards. The biggest problem with dott is their awful support. A scooter broke down on me while riding. This happens from time to time and is unavoidable if you ride often, as other people don't always treat them with much care. In such cases, getting a refund was straightforward in the TIER app. Unfortunately, dott makes this process as difficult as possible. The only support option is a chat bot within their app. You diligently answer its questions and at some point it either stops responding (yes, ghosted by a chat bot) or it promises to connect you with a real support agent, which never actually happens. This issue is compounded by problems in the main interface of the app. For example, a button with a chat icon (for support!?) overlaps with the \"scan to ride\" button. As a result, the chat icon can not be pressed at all. To be fair, you can also find the support chat via the menu under \"Help & legal\", but there it is certainly less prominent. The combination almost makes me suspect that these are deliberate design choices. Perhaps they want to discourage users from requesting refunds. It certainly worked on me. Needless to say, this whole process does not inspire confidence. I wonder what would happen if you needed to contact them after a more serious problem, like an accident or to sort out an insurance claim.",

          "body": "I’ve rented multiple times and you never know when the bike will simply turn itself off. They have a ‘feature’ which disables the bike for a host reasons but the rider has no idea when or why it might happen. The bike will basically be unridable from one moment to the next. I’m sure they will have legal problems about this because it’s a huge safety issue and simply not providing the service promised. If the bikes would simply work as promised and not turn off arbitrarily it would be a good service.",

I followed the instructions and activated the offer. However, I was subsequently charged almost PLN 10 for my ride. Your support team claims that my pass had expired on September 14, but this does not explain why Dott subsequently sent me a notification encouraging me to reactivate it.",
