  1. 4/5Volume buttons

I’ve been using the app for awhile and think this app is great with amazing but needs two thing. the double touch to stop and knowing when you’re recording or not and it all being customizable is cool. Although I would like the “press this to record” sign to be little more discreet it’s a great function. I also think being able to record videos or with the volume button would be amazing, I find myself being able to use a lot and would definitely use the app even more! I have a iPhone 12 and I know the .5 zoom isn’t available which I wish it was but I have no idea if this is the same situation

  2. 3/5Impossible to tell if you're recording

This app WOULD be excellent for capturing domestic violence situations without alerting your abusive family member that you are recording. Unfortunately the gesture for turning video recording on and off is the same (tap the screen once to begin recording and once again to end recording) so it’s impossible to know whether you are recording or not as the tense situation unfolds. In such a situation is just not possible to take your eyes off the situation and check your screen. To be useful, the gesture for turning the recording on and off needs to be different; perhaps swiping up over 2/3rds of the screen would turn the recording on and swiping down would turn it off, and repeat swiping in the same direction would have no effect so you could swipe up several times and be assured that it is recording. Otherwise as I have unfortunately experienced, the whole situation can be over and you find that the only part you recorded was a few seconds that didn’t even matter. I found a way to contact the app author, and he may be able to address my concern… if so, I will change my review to a full 5 stars.

  3. 5/5A greet application,easy to use

A great app—simple to use, and I really like it. However, I encountered a few minor issues during use. It would be even better if these could be improved: 1. When importing photos from the private album to the system album, the order becomes scrambled, and the photo timestamps change to the export time instead of the original capture time. However, if I transfer the same photos via AirDrop directly to another device’s system album, the timestamps remain correct (showing the capture time), and the order is preserved. I hope the local export feature can achieve the same result. 2. Using the same settings to shoot photos of the same angle, the system album saves images at 2.3MB, while the private album saves them at 6.5MB. The visual quality difference is negligible. It would be great if users could have a configuration option to balance image quality and file size. 3. When taking photos continuously, the response is quite slow—the shortest interval between shots is about 1 second. I’m using the latest iPhone 16 Pro, so performance shouldn’t be an issue. It would be nice if the interval could be shorter. This might be due to the large image size causing slow storage writes, so optimizing Issue #2 might also resolve this.

  4. 5/5Best meeting filming app - ever!

Easily the best app I downloaded and upgraded to Pro in 2024 - I am often in 45 minute to 1 hour-plus meetings with presenters and while audio is great, being able to film the meetings and see the presentations put on screen and projectors is game changing! There’s no distraction or my phone battery draining like it would with a regular recoding - also, when I have other people sitting next to me, the camera doesn’t distract or bother - so relaxing and I have hour-plus meetings all stored and easily goes into my Photos collections for me to refer to and see. Love this app and one of my favorites. I noticed some people saying it’s hard to tell when it’s recoding but there is a green dot showing and the Pro mode also allows a preview setting to show what’s being filmed if needed. 5/5 app! Love it.

  5. 3/5Usable but imperfect

This app generally gets the job done, except when it doesn’t. One feature it sorely needs is a “recordingn started” indicator that quickly fades away. Currently, the “recording indicator” setting keeps “tap to start recording text on the screen all the time you’re not recording, which is not discreet. Just have an optic for a little “recording started” text pop up that fades away after a second or so. Currently it seems like tapping the screen doesn’t always start the recording so it’s tough to know for sure. Another issue is that if anything happens like a battery indicator or the like, it doesn’t save the recording to the private library and instead just occupies some kind of inaccessible cache somewhere. It’s really frustrating to know you captured what you intended to because the app size is showing as like 9GB- meaning it captured and saved *something* - just nowhere you can see or get to it, and the only way to get rid of this inaccessible used-up cache is to uninstall the app and reinstall it. This could be a really great app if it hadn’t failed me so many times in just the short month I’ve been using it. I’ve been using it to capture incompetent medical professionals failing to care for a loved one properly, and several times it will just inexplicably not be recording even though it vibrated to indicate it should have started, and again other times there will be several GB worth of files in the cache, having clearly recorded something but without saving it into the gallery. I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to know that recording captured someone mistreating a loved one but not be able to access it.
