   I love DGN. This year (2023) has been absolutely electric in the sense that so many wins / runs for the lead have come from chase card or even 3rd card. There is no other way to watch disc golf anymore! All the other post produced coverages dont hold a candle to the experience of live disc golf!! This experience is almost perfect! My one major complaint - to the point of me turning of multiple rounds of coverage, is the commentary. Specifically the philo / Ian combo. Ian says the same thing on every hole and Philo’s color descriptions are beyond dreadful. When they commentate I watch elsewhere. It is beyond me why you have them there when the other guys (doss, brian, etc…) do a PHENOMENAL JOB commentating! They are engaging, give exciting stats, have great hole Breakdowns and strategy. Then you throw philo and Ian back in and I am bored to tears - even as an avid disc golf fan. Philo’s hole breakdowns and win strategies are the most basic, lazy descriptions “just throw it up there and put it in the basket”. Then we have Ians classic stating the players last name, maybe the disc they threw, and a reaction to what happened. Then he tries to do Philos Job which is necessary because Philo isnt doing it - then philo cuts him off. IT IS BADD! Espcially when the other guys are so, so good! I just dont understand.. I know they are both great people, Philo was a good player - but they are not a good commentating team… I so enjoyed the several tournaments that Ian and Philo werent there on. please do something!

2. 5/5LIVE DISC GOLF!

   Watching live disc golf is what this sport needs. The quality of Disc Golf Network has been getting better and better year after year. The media team works hard, travels fast, and is dedicated to providing the best product to their ability. With things only getting better, including the idea of a potential new streamer host in the near future, I think the future for DGN looks very bright, and with the low cost compared to several other streaming platforms, I believe that it is a great deal that any connoisseur of disc golf would be happy with. During the off-season, they also have past coverage, and video channels that are fun to watch. At the end of the day, realize that any dollar paid towards this service will make it grow in quality. With the mindset that you are able to check out quality disc golf content, while supporting the future of the sport, DGN is your one-stop-shop.

3. 1/5App is extremely buggy

   The app is currently unusable. It was stuck on the splash screen indefinitely despite multiple hard closes and reinstalls. After several attempts I was able to get into the app but the Home Screen won’t load anything. When I try to log in, every time I enter my credentials and press log in it clears my password and doesn’t send the request. After several attempts it appears to have sent the request but I also get an indefinite loading spinner. Even on normal days when the app is at least functioning it is buggy. My authentication state often fails to load when navigating to an event screen requiring me to go back and navigate into the event screen multiple times before it loads. The video progress bar/scrubber is also buggy and inconsistent when switching between the live coverage and scrubbing back earlier in the coverage. A note on web: please add theater mode. The only options being full screen or the small window on the web page is painful.

   I have enjoyed getting most of my Disc Golf tournament content from DGN, however, I have one bit of constructive criticism, which I pray, will be clarified to the fullest. Some tournaments last year and I am sure this year DGN and it’s executives will have certain tournaments that will not be broadcasted on this network. While I do understand that we are wanting to grow the sport and get it out to the larger networks, you are cutting off your nose to spite your face, in a sense of parable. For those who have invested into the DGN content, make it viewable to those who have already paid for the content. I am sure there are legalities that will need to be established, but don’t throw those who support you and the network to the curb whenever you want to broadcast on a larger network. ESPN is not always the best network to broadcast the sport to larger audiences.

5. 4/5Love the Live Coverage!!

   Only reason I don’t give it a 5 ⭐️ is that there’s never any distance competitions, accurancy challenges or any other type of fun more personal type of games. OTB and GK Pro skins is in my opinion the best form of DG media out there. I know the DGPT holds themselves at a high standard of competition coverage (you guys are doing a great job at it!!!) but people want to get to know the players and feel like the players are truly just like the rest of us but just better at perfecting their craft at higher level. I just feel there may be some great media coverage being missed by not interacting more with the players off the course. I love what the DGPT has become and can’t wait to see where it goes because in the past 3 years it has done nothing short of impressing me ever season begining! Keep up the great work!!
