1. 3/5Essential App but Customer Service…

   If you’re in China, you need this app. However the customer leaves more to be desired. I’m not sure if they’re using google translate (or baidu translate), but the representative gives only the same responses. The app allows foreign credit cards to be added, but good luck trying to add it. The customer rep said it was because “too many tourists” therefore there are “restrictions”. I tried asking if it means didi no longer accepted these cards or if I can try again later… got the same response…

2. 1/5WORST EXPERIENCE!!!

   The software is user-friendly and well-designed, but unfortunately, the quality ends there. The drivers and customer service are absolutely terrible. I strongly advise against using this company. Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare. One driver, in particular, was not only unprofessional but also extremely rude. Despite knowing that my mother has knee problems, he refused to drive us to our intended destination, stopping the taxi approximately 500 meters away and insisting that we get out. When we politely asked him to take us the rest of the way, he became aggressive, shouting and swearing at us. His excuse? He wanted to pick up his next customer quickly. This level of disregard for customer care is completely unacceptable. The entire ordeal was deeply distressing for my family, causing unnecessary stress and discomfort for my mother. I immediately reported the incident to the company, expecting them to take action. To my dismay, they closed the case the next day, claiming they couldn't verify the situation. Despite several follow-up messages requesting an explanation, I received no response. I have since deleted the app and will never use this service again. This was the worst experience I've ever had.

3. 1/5Dangerous Drivers Even with Babies in Car (including premium drivers)

   I live in China and often have to get around. Didi drivers in Wuhan drive insanely recklessly including the premium drivers on the app. Even when you politely ask them to drive safely and point out there’s a baby in the car, many get annoyed / offended (Not all drivers but at least a third.) Tailgating is super common even when in very bad weather. It’s unbelievable that this problem has persisted for so long on didi. The app should be held accountable for their drivers behavior. A few drivers being bad is the drivers problem, but many drivers being terrible is the app and managements problem.

4. 3/5Ups and downs

   It’s great that the app can be used in English and can be generally convenient but these days the availability of rides seems to have decreased and there is no point in reserving a scheduled car, they are always 10 minutes away from the pick-up point at the scheduled time.

5. 1/5Cannot use foreign credit cards

   Despite what App claims, they do not accept foreign credit cards. After an hour with customer service they said get WeChat because foreign credit cards don’t work. Customer service was not helpful at all, final advice “was check again tomorrow” as if that helps when you need a ride today. Endless loop…you need to prepay because you have a foreign credit card, because it’s a prepay you cannot use a foreign card… Most of app is in Chinese so filling out information is difficult.
