5/5Awesome app and support team
When there is a problem your not ignored, they respond fast and normally have a fix within days. Not like other apps that ignore you cause they don’t care. They care about their customers and their apps performance. Awesome app. Does it have bugs? Yes! but what app doesn’t? Plenty of features. Great price for those that need more options and its yearly not monthly. I have been with them for 5 years and counting. I am here to stay. No other diary app can come close not one. Enjoy. Believe it or not it saved my life. Don’t believe me I wrote a book about getting clean off doctor induced Vicodin addiction this app was with me from day one. Helping get threw every horrible part in recovery. From seeing how much I got done everyday to being able to track what I could and could not eat when I had bad days and good days. It kept me going just to see the celebration of making my word count daily to seeing my improvements from day to day. I recommend this to everyone and have had many friends and book purchasers download and even wrote me that the app was awesome. Enjoy your journaling in a digital format. No more big bulky books and one more thing. You can add pictures tags and even look up a certain incident in the search bar. Plus it does log in mindfulness minutes in the apple health app. Awesome just awesome. Well worth a try. You’ll fall in love with it fast. Of course there is a time frame to learn the app and all its function but that’s with any app. Thanks for all your help and support from Diarly. Thank you so much. ~ Doc ( Leo McBride)

5/5Fantastic App!
I've only been using Diary for a short time so far, but I'm really loving it. I'm amazed at how much they've included in the free version. I'm seriously considering replacing my bullet journal with Diary. There are basically two sections: Timeline (i.e. a place to create journal entries based on dates) and Notes (a place to create entries that are independent of the calendar). I'm using the Timeline for my Planner and Journal and plan to use it to also drop in photos to add a little scrapbook element. I've set up the Prompts to automaticaly insert a checklist of the routines/habits I'm working on developing each time I start a new entry. I also have it set it up to automatically insert my current location, today's weather, and important events from my calendar. I use Tags which then makes sections of my journal searchable - like having an index - so no searching my planner for the notes I took at a specific meeting. I can also search Diary for words or phrases. I use the Notes section for annual planning, brainstorming, notes for an online course I'm taking, etc. Tags and searching also include notes AND I can link my Notes and Timeline entries together. So a task on my timeline "Do module 3 lessson 1" can link to the notes for that class in my notes section. Everything I love about an analog bullet journal plus the searchability and linking of a digital platform. Plus I type faster and longer than I can write, so my journal entries are more representative of what I really want to get on "paper". I highly recommend Diary!

5/5Love it! Enhancement suggestion for the devs~
I pretty much never write reviews. But I’ve been low-key searching for the perfect app for my journaling over the years. And I’ve finally found the one! I love how you can really simplify the look of the screen to help you stay focused on your writing, yet lots of useful little features are just a click or two away. I love how there’s a little preview for each entry, and the themes, and the search — I just really like all of the features and how they’re neatly tucked away. And I really appreciate the added protection of the password. *So* worth the one-time in-app purchase. There are enough options that I can feel like I’m customizing the app to my liking, but not too many options such that I feel overwhelmed and distracted by features rather than what the app is intended for - writing. One idea that would make this *perfect* for me, would be if the devs added the option to choose your cursor color as well as the theme. I love the pink cursor that is built into the darkest theme, but I prefer the second-darkest theme. If I could have the best of both worlds, this would be completely perfect for me. (It’s already pretty close to perfect in my opinion!)

5/5Very convenient
I’m using this app for 2 days now, I wrote my poem there and the events from each day. It’s hard for me to write by hand in journal, quite dismotivating, so I never had one. I dislike the inability to freely put my photos, read my handwriting or buy lots of stickers to decorate. Here I was able to choose the font, theme and write as much as I want. It’s amazing and so comfortable. I love that I can upload photos to decorate my writings. The only thing that I worry in a long term about is the safety of my writings to be saved for a long time. I don’t know the limit of the writings I can do yet, I don’t know how to save them to never loose them yet but also don’t want to use iCloud for it. So I really hope this app can serve me for years and one day my writings won’t disappear. Also what I can suggest is to maybe give more freedom to put photos in different places, it would be lovely. Like I could put a small cute sticker on the upper right corner of my writings or somewhere on the side, near my writings, not above or under it. I enjoy the simplicity of the app and all the functions I need are free.

5/5App is currently great, just a couple things I would like to see
This is the cleanest nicest diary app I have seen. I love that you use markdown but format it in a great looking way even while writing. And as others have said, the simplicity of the app realy makes it perfect for journaling. The thing I was looking for forever was the ability to specify a template for new entries, so thanks so much for that! There are just a couple missing things that are keeping me from switching over: 1) I love this app, but I can’t bring myself to commit to it if it doesn’t have the ability to export to a format that other apps use. I am worried that I’ll want to switch in a month or two and don’t want to go through manually transfering every day’s journal. 2) I write entries right before I go to bed, which is sometimes after midnight. Right now, I don’t see a way to change the date on an existing entry, I only see a way to create a brand new entry. This isn’t a huge deal, but it would just be a nice little convinience to be able to click the date and select a new one.
