  1. 4/5Very Promising

Excellent concept - easy control set so we’re not bogged down in synthtweak minutia, intuitive after a few minutes, creative on the quick. * I guess it’s ok that the interface is flat, minimal, and … well … DARK … like here in the end times, what we were expecting - visual entertainment? Like we’re all so psychically beat down we should feel lucky anyone could muster the initiative and energy to give us a Zen of Doom background sonic generator. But still - a LITTLE more zip and sparkle might make it more engaging. Not that I’m complaining. * Can you PLEASE make it fill the whole screen on an iPad? The letterboxing makes it feel like a naked port from some other platform. * Also, these drones BEG for some pitch modulation, user-controllable for more immediate expression. Not a pitch wheel, though. Long running LFOs routable to pitch or amplitude, with a waveform or 3 AND a randomize knob might hit the spot. Better yet, something like sliding “aftertouch” à la the Animoog keys. Or simply stepless pitch sliding across the keys, like in VirSyn synths when we just turn off Quantize. * Finally, maybe a simple delay for even more perceptual smearing?

  2. 4/5Nice! Small on iPhone but sounds great!

This is such a fun concept and totally relevant to my interests! At first I was confused because I couldn't get anything but static, but resetting the app let me get different sounds from the presets. It is a bit small on iPhone but I'm sure that will be fixed in a future update! I'm really excited to dive into this and learn how to use it properly.

  3. 5/5Evolving Soundscapes - Latest update fixes iPhone layout 🙏🏽

Sparseness is the key here. The mechanics tab has been opened up and mapping MIDI CC to these to move slowly with an LFO really shows this off over several minutes. Playing / programming chords into this with some reverb, delay, or granular effects really open this up. I can’t figure out the spray effect to work well for me musically. EQ the high noise helps or shut it off completely. Utilizing noise from an app like Needlepoint works better for me as I do understand the need for texture. Not gonna knock a star for that. Read somewhere that an idea for the lights flashing in the image was kicked around. Would dig that!

  4. 5/5Excellent!

Bought this on launch and really liked it. Had a few minor issues with iPhone interface being small, but those are now updated and perfect! Great sound for cinematic atmospheres. Will be using this frequently. Highly recommended :)

  5. 5/5Wow!

For those of us that dwell in the dark ambience realm, this hits on every point. For his introductory app, I can’t wait to see what comes next.
