5/5Great cycling app with some caveats
I really like that it’s easy to see and plan with/around EuroVelo routes and other cyclist centered routes/bike paths. For this, this is the best app. I would like for it to be more user friendly in planning from the phone or iPad for example, using it on the fly on these devices makes it clunkier and not as easily accessible/plannable. As well as (and this is quite annoying) - it should translate languages that are using different alphabets (like Greek, Cyrillic, etc)…it’s really hard not to have the latinized/romanized version for non-native speakers (at least in parallel with the original) and try to decipher where you’re actually going if you find yourself in Balkan countries for example.

5/5Best App for Safe Bike Routes
I’ve tested a lot of bike apps and so far this one generates the best paths that I’d actually feel safe riding for errands or commuting. Most apps focus on the shortest distance or generate routes with extremely dangerous segments or crossings. Its very hard to find apps which have minimal yet intuitive controls to start and finish navigation as well, and this one does a great job. I’m looking forward to using this to explore my area more. Keep up the great work!

I live in Denver, CO, USA and though there are hundreds of miles of bike paths and bike lanes on the roads throughout the area connecting a route to get from point A to point B can be a challenge. This App is great. When I ask for a round trip it gives me loop rather than a simple out and back. The maps show all of the route options so I know where a trail goes when I cross intersecting trails. The audio directions and alerts, even while listening to music, allow me to turn off the screen. Try it for free and trust me you will quickly sign up to support this App every month.

5/5Brings a lot of great features together
What was for me several different apps that I had to switch between has become just one with this app. Before I had to use one app to draw a route and figure out things like elevation but I had to use another if I wanted the app to calculate the route for me. Now it’s all together and the best part is I can export a GPX to use with my Beeline or another nav system. Definitely happy I found this.

5/5Used this app on the North American Pacific Coast Bike route and it rocked.
I’ve used this app for years and have enjoyed it but it was really great when I rode the Pacific Coast Bike route and having a good route every day with really dependable and easy to understand turn-by-turn directions was awesome.

This time round I've added: night-time routing (UK only) for safe city cycling; better via point support for your routes planned on the cycle.travel website; faster maps and offline downloads; and lots of bug fixes. Fine-tuned on the school run every day!

Full of new features based on your feedback and a few ideas I've been hatching. Better turn-by-turn announcements, with street names in the right language wherever you are. Choose a male or female voice. Turn arrows to help you navigate road junctions. Lock the map to "north up" if you like. Improvements to the basemap cartography. For supporters, the extra maps now appear in the main map view, not a separate window. Plus lots of annoying bugs zapped (and hopefully not too many new ones introduced).

We've improved our maps this time - with placenames in your chosen language, more labels for small places and lakes, and much more. Searching for bike shops, cafes, food shops and other facilities now works even if you haven't downloaded offline maps. Plus all the usual little tweaks and bugfixes.
